About: I grew up on a farm caring for dogs, cats, and horses, and have done various forms of professional pet-care over the years. I have a 8 y.o. dog of my own (Maverick) that I've had since he was 8 weeks old. He, unfortunately, has started to enjoy the presence of other dogs less in his older age, so I do not offer boarding or day care. However, I thoroughly enjoy walks (Mav gets at least 2 a day) and would love to take your pet on a walk or jog. I am also available for drop-ins or house sitting. I am currently working part-time and only nights/evenings. I am available during the weekdays: mornings and afternoons for your pet's needs. I look forward to caring for your pet. As I pet owner with my own idiosyncrasies about the care of my animal, I will follow whatever your instructions entail. Our dog can be reactive with other dogs, so I am well practiced at seeing and avoiding potential confrontations, if your dog is similar. I am unfortunately unable to provide care in my own home due to my dog's reactivity. However, I am excited to provide drop-in and walking services for your dog.

Caring for animals has always been a huge part of my life, and I truly enjoy getting to know each pet's unique personality and needs. After recently losing my beloved dogs, I realized I wasn't quite ready for another long-term commitment, but I deeply missed having dogs around. Rover has given me the perfect opportunity to open my home and heart to dogs while helping other pet parents feel confident their pets are in good hands. I'm a stay-at-home mom, which means your dog will have plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. We have a large fenced-in yard for safe outdoor play and exercise. I also have two cats who grew up with dogs and are comfortable sharing their space, as well as two young children who have been around dogs their entire lives and know how to interact respectfully with them. For the comfort and safety of every pet in my care, I only accept dogs from one household at a time. This allows me to provide individualized attention and create a calm, stress-free environment during their stay. As a stay-at-home mom, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide attentive care throughout the day. My mornings typically begin with feeding pets, potty breaks, walks, or playtime before my family's daily activities start. Because I am home most of the day, pets receive frequent attention, supervision, and companionship rather than being left alone for long periods. Throughout the day, I can accommodate additional potty breaks, outdoor time in our fenced yard, feeding schedules, medication administration if needed, and plenty of affection and enrichment. In the evenings, pets are included in our family's relaxed routine, with more playtime, walks, and cuddles before bedtime. For boarding and daycare, dogs are rarely left unattended, and I only accept pets from one household at a time to ensure each pet receives personalized care and attention. I care for every pet as if they were my own, taking the time to learn their routine, preferences, and personality. I understand that being away from their family can be stressful, so I strive to provide a calm, safe, and loving environment where pets feel comfortable and secure. For dogs, I provide regular potty breaks, exercise, playtime, enrichment activities, and plenty of affection. Dogs have access to our large fenced yard for supervised outdoor time, and because I am home throughout the day, they receive consistent attention and companionship. I only care for dogs from one household at a time, which allows me to focus on their individual needs and maintain a low-stress environment. About: I grew up around animals, both cats and dogs, and have always loved meeting other people’s dogs and cats!! I have walked dogs, most recently in DC over this past summer. I have also stayed with people’s cats. I understand how meaningful pets are to their families, and I want to be known as a safe, reliable person you can count on when you are going out of town and sadly can’t bring your pet! I will look after your pets like they are my own, even for a short period of time. I currently work full-time at a nonprofit in Virginia Beach. My apartment doesn’t allow for pets, so I thought Rover would be a great way to be around animals in the time that I cannot have my own. I am very active, so I love going on walks with dogs, and I am happy to spend my weekends hanging out with your pets. While I am often not available from 9-5 on the weekdays, I am available for weekends and after 5 on the weekdays, in case you work different hours than I do and need someone to check in on your pup or cat! I completely understand the love and value we have for our homes and our pets. While I cannot have pets in my apartment, I can guarantee to respect your home and treat it with the utmost care, while making sure your pet is safe and having a good time!

I am unable to work full time due to the rigor of the program so I love watching pets as a part time job. 🏡 I currently live in an apartment in downtown Norfolk with my boyfriend of 8 years, Grant. Grant helps out with potty breaks and walks if I am ever not home. We are both students and have internships so if your pet needs someone with them at all times, we unfortunately can only provide this on the weekends. 🐶I have experience with senior & adult dogs, cats, administering medications & puppies! I also volunteer at the Norfolk Animal Care Center in my free time to help out the shelter animals and be involved in my local community. We have no pets in our apartment currently. 🐱If chosen to care for your pets I will treat them with the love and respect that I would give my own pet. About: I walk dogs for my local animal shelters frequently and i have raised and trained all of my dogs (i had 4) form when they where puppies so adults. I am a college student in my senior year, so my schedule is fairly flexible. However, my best availability is on the weekends and fridays.
