About: I have had 1-2 dogs in my home for the last 20 years, and have spent hundreds of hours at dog parks, with other pet owners, and learning best pet parenting practices. As a teacher of 25 years, I can roll in my patience, reliability, and flexibility from my career as well as my own pet experiences. I am training my teen daughter to assist me, so, together, we can offer THE best care around the clock. Your dog or cat will appreciate how he or she will be carefully handled whether it's for dog walking, pet sitting, or boarding. I look forward to meeting your fur baby! As a teacher who works 50% of the day teaching online from home, I am only gone a maximum of four hours a day on weekdays and I am off on summers, holidays, and weekends. This allows me to spend a good deal of my time doing something I love: taking care of pets. Now, my teen daughter who wants to become a zoologist is also stepping up to help give every furbaby maximum attention! I spoil dogs, allowing them on couches and in beds; have a large, enclosed porch with lots of doggy lounge areas; live on the Elizabeth River Trail for long dog walks; and am walking distance from a super nice dog park. If sitting them at their home, I am sure to follow all owner instructions and to treat their pets like they were my own to include lots of chats, pets, and snuggles!

About: Hi! I've been operating on Rover for about 5 years now! I've had dogs for as long as I can remember and love being around them. I have experience with all sizes of dogs from Papillons to German Shepards. I am accepting of all breeds, sizes and ages. I've had several dogs with allergies and other health issues, so I am experienced in giving medications, applying any topicals, and noticing any developing symptoms. I also have lots of experience with cats and even have one of my own with medical issues, so I would love to do drop ins for your feline friends! I am currently a student at Eastern Virginia Medical School and am in my last year so my schedule can be somewhat variable. However for the next few months I will be available for mid-day walks/cat visits! I have a 7 year old Pit Bull Terrier that absolutely loves all other animals and can adjust his play style according to other dogs sizes. I also have a small fenced in outdoor patio where your dogs can relax outside with some sun in between walks. I live alone so there won't be too much stimulation from others, and there's plenty of space for your pup to take some time to their selves if needed.

About: I love dogs of all sizes and ages! My family recently lost our pitbull, Emma, who was 7 years old, so my mom has temporarily kidnapped my Chihuahua so the house doesn't feel so lonely. Now my house feels a little too quiet without her around. I am loving, caring, trustworthy, and responsible! Your pet is free to roam around the house with me, and I'll make sure they feel comfortable and at home. I enjoy taking dogs on walks, to dog parks, on car rides, to the beach, and anywhere they can have fun and enjoy themselves (with your permission, of course). I like to keep dog parents updated with pictures & texts throughout their pet's stay. I understand that every dog has their own personality and unique needs, and I am committed to giving them the very best care while providing you with peace of mind. I will make sure your pet feels welcomed, loved, and right at home here! I work from home, so I'll be with your doggie for most of the day. The only time they'll be home alone is when I run errands. I care for pets in a safe, loving home with a fenced yard where they can play and get fresh air. They are treated like my own. I follow their normal routines, including feeding, walks, and playtime. I also send regular updates with photos and messages.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and guinea pigs and bunnies all my life. I treat every single animal as if they were my own and take pride in the small achievements that I help provide as well as the experience they help bring to my life. I am a lifelong dog lover and I am very focused on meeting your dog's needs, dietary restrictions, keeping them intellectually stimulated, and giving them lots of love and praise. They are free to roam the house and go on the furniture. I love sending lots of pictures and updates because I know how difficult it is to be away from your "baby". If your pet has any special bedding or toys, feel free to bring them along with you so your pet can feel even more at home. I look forward to spoiling and loving your furry family member while you're away. I live only a few miles away from the Norfolk International Airport and am only a few miles away from the entrance to I 64. I am very close to downtown Norfolk and Ghent. I currently work early morning from 6am-12pm. so I’ll have time to play with them and show them love. As well as take them potty as needed. I can easily crate your dog if need be I have a small apartment but lots of areas to move around. I also house bunnies.

About: My name is Molly! I lived on a farm for 6 years and raised Australian shepherds so I have a lot of experience with dogs. My family adopted my first dog named Shiloh when I was 7 and she was a beagle mix. We lost her when she was 15, but she lived a long, happy, and healthy life. I have a lot of experience with my own dogs as well as dog sitting for others. I am currently a Physician Assistant Student so I will be in class for a few hours per day, but otherwise I am mostly at home. I have a small chihuahua/Pomeranian mix that is 5 years old. Her name is Luna and she is one of the sweetest dogs I have met (maybe slightly biased, but she really is so sweet ;)). She loves to play with dogs of all sizes (she grew up with labs and Australian shepherds). Dogs must be friendly with other dogs and be potty trained. We typically go out for a walk/potty break every 3-4 hours, but can go out more/less if needed. -raised, trained, and bred Australian shepherds -cared for diabetic dog requiring insulin injections -cared for handicapped pug that has seizures and requires several medications throughout the day -have done house sitting / dog sitting with many different breeds: pit Bull, German shepherd puppy, boxer, vizsla mix, plott hound, husky, beagle, Maltese, and more! Dogs are my life and they bring me so much joy. I don’t know what I would do without my furry best friends <3 In school, but home most of the day. Never gone for more than 4 hours at the most. Home all weekend. Potty breaks/walks every 4 hours at most I live in a safe neighborhood. My apartment is very spacious and safe. My dog has beds all over the house and plenty of toys to share. She sleeps with me in my king sized bed or in her bed.

About: I have one small 3 legged rescue and just adopted another rescue September 2025 who is recovering from being hit by a car. Both are chihuahua s Prior to moving to Virginia I fostered both cats and dogs. I was known as a foster failure since I adopted many of my fosters and at one time I had 8 dogs. I love all animal but have a special place in my heart for dogs. I am retired and have lots of time on my hands and would love to spend some time with your dog when you are not able to. I will treat them as if they were mine9. I have two small dog that does fine with other dogs. My yard is fenced and secure. I believe dogs belong in the house since they are part of the family.
