“Autumn was really great! She helped my nervous dog decompress, feel comfortable, and stay entertained. She sends photo updates and is very quick to respond to messages. Will definitely go back to her for more services!”

About: Hi, I am a stay at home mom of two teenage children and we all love dogs. I also love walks. I try to walk about 10,000 steps a day. Your pet will get plenty of exercise and attention from me. I have taken several lessons and online courses on dog training. I also am very patient. I know your pet is a family member to you and I will treat him as such. Feel free to contact me with any questions. Looking forward to meeting your pet! I am retired so I have plenty time on my hands to do pet care. It has become a hobby for me. I really enjoy it. I cook breakfast and dinner for my dogs at home, they enjoy long walks and also free roam in my big backyard. In my clients home I am respectful of their space while taking good care of them.
“Jonathan knows how to respond to the needs of the little fellow he is sitting. Brutus is a super senior with special needs, so he needed a caretaker with Jonathan’s kind of expertise and mindfulness. I’ve never left him with a sitter outside of the family before, but I had such a stress free weekend after leaving Brutus in his hands. Jonathan had amazing communication with me and sent cute pictures of Brutus napping or exploring around the property. Jonathan’s two dogs are also super sweet and respectful of other dogs’ space, but he also respected any boundaries or rules I set for Brutus for the stay. Did great at earning my trust and staying constituent and thorough. Thank you Jonathan ♥️”

About: Hi there, and welcome! I’m so glad you’re here—I’d love to share a little about myself and the thoughtful, personalized care I provide for pets. I come to Rover with over 40 years of experience caring for pets of all kinds. I’ve spent my entire life around animals, and for over 30 years (beginning as a volunteer at age 14 with my local wildlife museum), I’ve worked hands-on with animals in a variety of settings. Caring for animals isn’t just something I do—it’s something I truly love and feel deeply connected to. Every pet has their own personality, routines, and little quirks, and taking the time to understand what makes each one feel safe, comfortable, and happy is what makes me an exceptional pet sitter. Whether it’s keeping up with your furry family member's familiar routines (such as going for walks, play, and mealtimes) or simply offering calm companionship in whatever form that takes, I cater to each pet individually so they feel as at ease as possible while you’re away. My background in nursing makes me comfortable administering most medications—including pills, injections, and specialized treatments—with confidence and ease. I always follow your care instructions and often take pictures or videos at our meet-and-greet to refer back to later as well. (I can also do more than one meet-and-greet if necessary for an additional cost based on time and driving distance.) In addition to practical care, I bring a grounded, gentle presence and am certified in animal Reiki, which can be especially comforting for anxious or high-energy pets. I also treat your home with the same respect and care I give your pet so that you can return to a calm, tidy space and a happy companion. I currently have a very flexible schedule that can be adapted to a variety of needs, including caring for birds, rodents, reptiles, and more, ensuring I can meet your pet's unique needs. I hope I get the opportunity to meet with you and your pet in person and see if we might make a good fit! I am not currently working outside the home, apart from Rover, and do not accept other jobs while I am caring for your pet (s). When you book me as your sitter I can guarantee that your pet will have my undivided attention the whole stay. Earning your pets trust and ensuring they are always safe, (both inside the home and outside on walls, etc.), is my top priority as a pet sitter. I follow the rules you put into place for their care and will always contact you should there be any concerns. (Thankfully there rarely are!)
“Savannah was very friendly and welcoming. Dory felt right at home in Savannah’s home. She made new friends and left very happy. We will definitely be repeat clients.”

“Kobie is great! So laid back and scheduling was super easy. He replies fast and communication is kept all day. His dogs are nice and play great with mine. It’s hard to find a sitter for my 100 pound clumsy Rottie but so glad Kobie lives close by. Simba loves going to doggie daycare and is so sleepy when he gets home from having such a fun day! Will 100% use Kobie for all my rover needs.”

“Lady had so much fun playing here. She came home exhausted and happy. When I picked her up...she tried to go back in. She didn't want to leave! That's awesome. I will definitely use Sherry again. Knowing my special needs doggie was taken care of means a lot to me.”

“Anna has been taking fantastic care of our Samoyed every Tuesday for a couple months now. Her kids play with him and he is never happier than when we pull up to her house. I’m so glad we found Anna. Cannot recommend more highly.”

Chesapeake dog parents share their Rover experiences
Miss Patricia is a wonderful dog-sitter. I know Hope loves spending time with her because when I pull into the driveway she tries to jump out of the window to get to the house. She is so kind and attentive to Hope. She recognized something was wrong with Hope and alerted me to excessive itching. Went to vet and Hope had an ear infection that I would have missed working all day. Highly recommend Miss Patricia to care for your dog.
