About: I’m a dedicated pet sitter with years of experience caring for dogs of all kinds, including bully breeds and those with anxiety (non-reactive). My husband and I prioritize keeping your pet happy and comfortable in our care. From morning walks and medication to playful updates and meet-and-greets, we ensure your furry family member gets the love and attention they deserve. We also specialize in tailored care for up to two dogs at a time, focusing on maintaining routines and offering a cozy “dog hotel” experience at our home. Although I work full-time Monday through Thursday, I handle morning walks and medications before I head out at 5:30 am. My husband, Timothy, stays at home with our two children and takes care of all other needs throughout the day. We work together to ensure your pup’s routine is always maintained! We live in a cozy, pet-friendly apartment that we like to think of as a “dog hotel.” It’s perfect for keeping pets safe and comfortable during their stay! Our children (ages 4 and 9) are wonderful with respecting pets' spaces, and we always tailor our care to each dog’s unique needs. For safety, Timothy and I are experienced with oral medications and have a background working with anxious (but non-reactive) dogs.

“Mr. Eugene and his family were absolutely wonderful with my boys! I’m always hesitant regarding people watching them unless I personally know them but my boys were definitely in great hands and I am so happy!”

“My dog Coco enjoyed Tina’s doggy daycare. Tina was very friendly, responsive, and had great communication. She also gave very helpful notes at the end of my dog’s stay. Would definitely recommend!”

“Rachel was great! My little girl can be nervous with new people but Rachel made her feel right at home. Layla had a great time playing with the other dogs and came home happy and tired. Rachel was awesome about updating me throughout the day with videos and pictures of Layla’s adventures. We will definitely use Rachel’s service again!”

“Daisy had a great time with Cassandra and Tradd. She had a fun time playing with noodle and macaroni as well as their two children. Very thankful we found them and absolutely intend on reaching out the next time we are going out of town!”

“You can tell she loves dogs. Autumn cared for our pup with love and understanding, and made sure she got her walks and play time in. Riley was tuckered out on the way home and looked like she wanted to go back for more day care! We will definitely be booking with Autumn again. Thank you!”

About: I've had dogs most of my adult life and many cats. Your pet will be loved and played with by me and my two homeschooled, pet loving boys. I'm currently a stay at home mom and I'm homeschooling my children. I'm available most weekdays and some weekends. I'll be home with your pet most of the time. I have a small fenced yard and well behaved pets are welcome in my home. I have two cats. They can be separated from pets we're boarding if needed.

About: As of 12/26/24, we now have a cat living with us, Kingsley. He gets along great with Izzy 🥰 I will be available Thanksgiving 2025; however, I will be unavailable for Christmas and NYE 2025. Besides growing up with dogs, I’ve cared for my own dogs for the past 26 years (2024). I have two dogs: Izzy & Bella. You can check out Izzy & Bella on their TikTok account: @smizzybe. UPDATE: Bella passed away 🌈 7/5/24 (at almost 14 yrs old) I’m observant, attentive, empathetic, patient, gentle, yet firm. I am a clean person. I will care for all breeds, any age, even pets with special needs. If your pet needs extra care, I will take the time to give them that and follow your instructions. I have volunteered at the Virginia Beach Animal Care & Adoption Center. I've done drop-ins to care for my friend's dog, a male Maltese. I've owned a male Toy Fox Terrier and a male Miniature Pinscher, who have crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. My Min Pin was a puppy at a couple months old when we got him and was 13 years old when he passed in 2018. When she was about 12 months old in 2011, I rescued/adopted a female Pitbull mix (w/perhaps Lab), who is now a senior at 13 years old (in 2023). At 4 months old, I rescued/adopted a female American Staffordshire/Great Dane mix. She is now 6 years old (in 2024). I have taken special care of my dogs after being neutered, spayed, and recently (2022) having “ACL” surgery. When Bella was 12 years old, she was losing her hearing, so I taught her and Izzy (at age 4 yrs) some basic sign language words. In 2024, Bella had a case of happy tail and that ended up getting partially amputated. I’m a retired court reporter/stenographer. I do go to the gym throughout the week, whenever. I'm very flexible...time-wise. I am available for most holidays and some last-minute bookings; however, a video call or FaceTime required. If you need to board your fur babies overnight or many consecutive nights, a week or more, I’m available. My home is a happy, loving, cuddly safe space for your fur babies. Nothing but good doggie vibes here. We now have a cat as of 12/26/24. We took the introductions very slow. They didn’t meet face to face until about his 3rd week home, especially bc he got neutered. At about Month 2, they can be left alone together. They get along great. So good cat vibes here too! I have two dogs that are dog-friendly. They will stay upstairs, away from your dog. (UPDATE: as of 7/5/24, I now have 1 dog.) This is to lessen the stress for everyone. New environments, people, and dogs can be stressful for some pups. I want to give your pup some space and time to settle in. Then if interest is shown, I will take things slowly and introduce the dogs to each other. If boarding at my house, there will be 2 - 3 dogs/crates per room, max. I will not pack them in like sardines. For now, I have 3 rooms available: 2 living rooms downstairs then 1 bedroom upstairs. My dogs are crate-trained. Their crate is their dog house/safe space/bed. Also, my dogs' crates are filled with comfortable dog beds or mattress toppers that are wrapped in fitted bedsheets. I spoil my dogs. Their bedding gets changed out frequently. Their crates are located in their bedroom. My dogs go to the groomers once a month for their baths, nails trimmed, etc. My dogs are up-to-date with all shots. We do not have fleas or ticks. I am responsible enough to give your fur babies their meds. I vacuum frequeny. My Izzy sheds a lot. Your dog will have their own water bowl and clean bedding. Used toys are cleaned after each stay. Your pup will have clean toys to play with. In my fenced-in backyard, my dogs’ area is sectioned off from the rest of the yard, away from the gate that can be accidentally left open. My dogs' area is the space where your pet will be free to run, play, and explore. If more yard is needed, I can open up the rest of the backyard. Our grass is maintained. Our house and yard are dog-proofed. Poop is immediately picked up with a baggie and thrown in a trash can. You can trust that I will never neglect or abuse your fur baby, and I will never feed your fur baby human food (unless you want me to). ** If I’m at your home caring for your pet, I will clean up all accidents your pet may have made ASAP. I will also clean up after playtime and keep things neat and tidy. ** Also, your fur baby will not be punished for having accidents. Accidents happen, especially when in new environments and/or around new people, and I expect that. If I’m caring for your pet at your home, I will responsibly lock all entry doors with your fur baby safely secured inside. I am mindful of escape artists. ** I will not bring my dogs to your home. ** I will respect your home.

About: Hello, My name is Kari and I currently own 3 amazing cats Trip (10), Atlas (9), and Cayde (4). In the past I have owned a German Shepard - Zoey (RIH). Growing up I had a blue heeler I called Biscuit and tons of cats on the farm. I have plenty of room for your dog to run and play in my fenced in back yard. At my home they will get lots of attention from both myself and my son when he is here. He is currently wanting to get a dog of his own but is in paramedic school so is waiting to finish that before doing so. Should you have any questions just ask. Please note Rover doesn't let you pick specific time frames and it is a time range. Please let me know what your needs are when sending me a message. I work from home on certain days during the week and will only offer care on those days so that I can be with your pet all day. If needed on lunch and weather permitting we can always go for a walk or we can play in the backyard at anytime. If your pet has anxiety they can easily lay next to me while I work. Thus keeping their anxiety at bay. I will be as flexible as I can with your schedule but please also keep in mind I am working around mine as well as I do have a full time job. I will not book with a client unless I can meet their needs. I always want what is best for your pet as they are also out kids. Communication is key. I have a large brand new fenced in back yard. If your pet does not get along with cats they can easily be separated in my home. You can also bring your crate if your pet is crate trained and needs overnight care. We can always talk about any other considerations your pet may need while in my home too. I am here to help you and give your fur baby the care they need! I do not accept more than one dog in my home at a time unless they are in the same family because I want all the pets I care for safe.

About: For 30 years my husband and I have had many cats and 3 years ago we got our first amazing pup. A golden retriever named Nala and now we are officially dog lovers!! We currently have 4 cats. Our experience is mainly taking care of our own animals, but we would like to extend our care and compassion of animals to others as we know how hard it can be to find good quality pet care while being away. We are a family of who loves animals. We have 1 dog and 4 cats. I am currently at home, but have various odd jobs that have me in and out of the home for short period of times so your pup will not be left alone for long periods of time. my husband works from home and is available to help as well. I do not have a fenced in yard, however with my own pup we make sure she gets plenty of exercise by taking her for two walks a day and we have a large field right next to our home to run around and play fetch. If your pup is a runner we accommodate for that and will keep him or her on a leash. We are currently only taking one other pup at a time so book soon!

Mae B.
“Mae loves dogs. She loves them so much that she’s never not owned and cared for one. She likes to keep them in pairs now so the other has a playmate. Mae had not only adopted dogs of her own, she’s also found loose/lost dogs. She picked one up off the side of the road and dropped it off at the shelter during her busy work schedule. She carries two dog leashes in the trunk in case she finds another lost dog. A few times, she’s collected wondering dogs in the neighborhood and posted on the Nextdoor app that she had them, and they've all successfully reunited with their owners. And when she sees a post about a lost dog, she has literally gone out and helped look for them a few times. Mae truly loves dogs and will care for yours with the upmost respect. Your pet will be in good hands.”
