“We were in a bind and needed a last minute pet sitter for our dog. Thankfully Tina was available and was very friendly and great with communication! Thanks again for taking care of our girl!”

I understand how precious they are and how they deserve to be treated with compassion and love I'm newly retired and would love to provide love and nurturing care to your sweet furbaby! Plenty of space and a large fenced yard! Plenty of rubs and walks I have a plenty of room, a large fenced yard and a friendly senior dog. “Rachel was absolutely amazing! This was first time using Rover and what a great experience! She took great care of our baby boy. We could not have asked for more. She made our trip work and I cannot thank her enough!”

About: I have one small 3 legged rescue and just adopted another rescue September 2025 who is recovering from being hit by a car. Both are chihuahua s Prior to moving to Virginia I fostered both cats and dogs. I was known as a foster failure since I adopted many of my fosters and at one time I had 8 dogs. I love all animal but have a special place in my heart for dogs. I am retired and have lots of time on my hands and would love to spend some time with your dog when you are not able to. I will treat them as if they were mine9. I have two small dog that does fine with other dogs. My yard is fenced and secure. I believe dogs belong in the house since they are part of the family.

“Katherine was amazing! She took such good care of my old girl, Bailey, and sent me photos throughout her stay. Katherine helped me out last minute when my long time sitter had an emergency. You are always a little nervous leaving your pet with someone for the first time and Katherine put me to ease right away and updated me on how Bailey was settling in. She even got me a dog picture frame...so thoughtful!!!”
“Again my Lady had a great time. She came home so tired and just slept all night. Which I what I wanted. She is so loved there. They really treat her like I do.”

“So thankful I found Bethany and her family! I had an issue with a previous sitter and I was nervous about finding another. Jax had the best time with them at doggy day care yesterday and today. I loved that I got multiple updates throughout the day, and a cute report card at the end! I know my baby is well taken care of with them!”

About: I have been taking care of animals and working around them for as long as I can remember. From a very young age I was always at my grandma’s house visiting her and her animal rescue that she owned. She had animals named after me and my siblings, there was over 150 cats and dogs at one point and as a little girl it was a dream. I loved taking care of the animals and being a big help for my grandma so I hope to carry that on for you and your animals as I am currently studying for my veterinarian technology associates degree! I currently work part time while I am in school to become a veterinarian so I have plenty of time to spend caring for animals! I have a huge fenced in yard with a dog and 2 cats of my own. My babies are super sweet and loving, my dog loves to play and snuggle so she is very excited for a play date or furry sleepover!
“Rebecca was great with Ellie! Her dogs are very well behaved too and you can tell she’s a dog expert. Professional and timely communication through and through. Will be booking again for doggy daycare!”

About: I've been caring for dogs and cats for over 18 years and have always been passionate about providing them with a safe, loving environment. I currently have a puppy of my own, so I understand the importance of consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement when caring for pets of all ages. In addition to caring for my own pets, I've also provided care for a friend's senior dog while they were away on vacation, giving me experience with the extra patience and attention older dogs often need. I'm comfortable following detailed feeding schedules, administering oral medications, and caring for puppies, senior pets, and pets with unique routines. As a scientist, I'm naturally detail-oriented and observant, so I pay close attention to changes in behavior and always follow care instructions carefully. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, or simply relaxing with someone nearby, I'll make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for. I'll also send regular photo updates so you can have peace of mind while you're away. Pet care is already a part of my daily routine! I have a puppy of my own, so my days naturally revolve around walks, feeding, playtime, training, and making sure she's happy and healthy. My flexible schedule allows me to give pets the time and attention they deserve, whether that's sticking to their normal routine, providing plenty of exercise, or simply keeping them company. I always strive to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. Whether I'm caring for your pet in my home or yours, my goal is to keep their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I'll follow your feeding schedule, exercise routine, medication instructions, and any other preferences you have to help your pet feel comfortable while you're away. In my home, pets will receive plenty of attention, playtime, potty breaks, and a safe, clean environment. I use positive reinforcement and never harsh discipline. My puppy is friendly and well-socialized, and I'll always make sure introductions are done safely if applicable. In your home, I'll treat your space with the same respect I would my own. I'll make sure your pet receives lots of love and attention, fresh food and water, walks or playtime as needed, a clean litter box or potty area, and plenty of affection. I'll also send regular photo updates so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and well cared for.
About: About Me I have a deep love for animals and years of experience caring for them. After losing our family dog of 15 years, I spent two years fostering pets. While I’ve chosen not to commit to a permanent pet due to future retirement plans, I still enjoy providing a loving and safe environment for animals through short-term fostering and pet sitting. I also care for my son’s dog on weekends, so I understand how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member. What I Offer When your pet stays with me, they’ll enjoy: A spacious, secure backyard with a doggie door for easy indoor/outdoor access Cozy pet beds and a variety of chew toys A treat jar (with your approval—no rawhide) Plenty of love, attention, and playtime Your pet’s happiness is my priority! Have worry-free travel and peace of mind knowing your furry baby is in caring hands. I work at a local University and have been there for 30 years. I work from home a few days a week and on the days I'm in my office, if I should have your pet I will arrange to work from home if given enough notice. I work from home Wed - Friday and of course, on weekends I'm home. I have a fenced-in backyard with a dog door that can be opened or closed. I do have my sweet grandpup (who was a foster) a couple of times a week and is used to all dogs and cats. We go to Woodstock Dog Park, so she has others to play with. I have one large crate and one med crate. I only crate if I'm out running errands and if your pet needs to be crated for safety and security reasons. Our family dog loved to lie in his crate while we were gone or he was napping with the door open, so I know that some pets feel safer with an open door crate. I will discuss with you and your preferences. My grandpup does not use a crate anymore at anytime but she is now three.

About: I have multiple years of experience babysitting and pet sitting. I also have a few friends with pets that I help take care of as well. My schedule is pretty flexible during the week since I work from home. I am available during the week and occasionally on the weekends as well. Please don’t hesitate to reach out even if the date is blocked off. I definitely try my best to make it work schedule wise. I live in an apartment complex but there are various nearby parks and open spaces that are pet friendly. There's also a lot of walking space around the complex. I take care of my grandpa currently and he would love to have company of a four legged friend. 🥰

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - South Norfolk
This was my first time using the app and I was nervous because I never let strangers watch my baby. Chance was in great hands, Heather has a beautiful family. Was responsive when I inquired about Chance and also checked in with me with either pictures or questions about certain procedures I have with him. Definitely grateful and would recommend!

Miss Patricia is a wonderful dog-sitter. I know Hope loves spending time with her because when I pull into the driveway she tries to jump out of the window to get to the house. She is so kind and attentive to Hope. She recognized something was wrong with Hope and alerted me to excessive itching. Went to vet and Hope had an ear infection that I would have missed working all day. Highly recommend Miss Patricia to care for your dog.
