I follow their normal feeding, walking, and sleeping schedules as closely as possible to keep things consistent and stress-free. In a client’s home, I respect their space and maintain their pet’s routine exactly as instructed. This includes feeding, walks, playtime, and any special care like administering medication if needed. I also make sure pets get plenty of attention, affection, and supervision at all times. With my experience working at a boarding facility, I’m comfortable handling different temperaments and ensuring every pet feels safe and well cared for.

I will care for yours the exact same as I would my own. Being someone you can trust with your family member while you are at work or away from home is my goal. I have fostered for a trusted animal rescue and screened for potential adopters as well! I work from home so I will have plenty of time to go on walks, play and let them out for potty breaks. I make sure your pup stays on their “at home” schedule to keep them comfy and relaxed during their stay. I have a fenced in yard and a clean home with nothing laying around on the floors. Your baby will have their own space (with or without crate) and will be cared for like they are my own.

Akemi has been fantastic about entertaining my dog, so she isn't so sad while also creating such a loving and positive environment for my dog that my dog now adores her too! She was able to quickly bond with my dog making it so my dog and I both feel comfortable leaving her with Akemi. Then a co worker recommended Rachael! It only took two days of daycare for my puppy to sprint out of my car into her arms. He is so in love with her and from the videos I see I can see why. He has so much fun and gets so much love from her! It has been such a relief knowing I can work my long shifts and not worry about him being alone or needing to go potty, and most of all he’s with someone I can trust! I love picking him up all tuckered out after my long shifts and being able to all go straight to bed without needing to get extra zoomies out!! As a teacher of 25 years, I can roll in my patience, reliability, and flexibility from my career as well as my own pet experiences. I am training my teen daughter to assist me, so, together, we can offer THE best care around the clock. Your dog or cat will appreciate how he or she will be carefully handled whether it's for dog walking, pet sitting, or boarding. I look forward to meeting your fur baby! As a teacher who works 50% of the day teaching online from home, I am only gone a maximum of four hours a day on weekdays and I am off on summers, holidays, and weekends. This allows me to spend a good deal of my time doing something I love: taking care of pets. Now, my teen daughter who wants to become a zoologist is also stepping up to help give every furbaby maximum attention! I spoil dogs, allowing them on couches and in beds; have a large, enclosed porch with lots of doggy lounge areas; live on the Elizabeth River Trail for long dog walks; and am walking distance from a super nice dog park. If sitting them at their home, I am sure to follow all owner instructions and to treat their pets like they were my own to include lots of chats, pets, and snuggles!
