“Cassie and Tradd were the BEST home away from home for our dog! They sent us lots of updates and he was always smiling so wide, we knew he was well loved. We cannot recommend them enough - they have definitely become our go-to Rover family!”

“Wonderful care of our loved one Jodi. They provided excellent updates, photos and pictures. Responses were quick and accommodating to our nedd”

“Shannon was absolutely wonderful with our dog June! She provided excellent care and kept us updated throughout the stay. Our pup came home happy and well cared for. We would definitely book with Shannon again and highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!”

“Lauren had great communication before and during. Thankful she was able to accommodate our last minute request. Highly recommend lauren. Thank you again and have a blessed holiday.”

“Meghan was amazing! She sent a ton of pics and videos and really eased our mind with leaving our baby behind for the first time. Her and her family really went out of their way to make our furbaby feel at home. Meghan is kind and professional. You won’t find a better person to take care of your precious pup. She will absolutely be our go to in the future! Thanks again Meghan, so glad we found you!!”

“We loved Amanda! Duke had a great time spending time with Amanda, and she was so helpful and responsive from day one. We got tons of pictures and updates, and loved seeing what Duke was up to all weekend. Amanda was also really flexible with pick up and drop off times, which was so helpful to us when our flight was delayed 4 hours! We had a great experience and will definitely be using Amanda again in the future. This was our first Rover experience, and I'm glad we had this option for Duke who loves people so much and just wouldn't thrive in a kennel atmosphere. Thank you Amanda for taking such great care of Duke!”

“Absolutely wonderful! My spoiled and picky old man stayed with Lillian and Timothy for the first time, and I could not have asked for better and more considerate care. They cleverly found ways to get him to take his medication when he was being fussy with his usual turkey wraps. And they sent lots of pictures of him enjoying walks, having cozy naps, and getting plenty of attention and love. 10/10 recommend!”

“I was very pleased with Kathleen's care for my Josie while I was away for a week. Her dogs accepted Josie as part of the family and there was no contention. Kathleen sent pictures and videos of Josie and the dogs each day. She played with her each day. Well done, Kathleen.”

“Tina did such a fantastic job with our dog Bruno. She made sure to update us daily on Bruno and really went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable during his stay. We will definitely be reaching out to Tina the next time we need to go out of town again!”

“As usual, everything went perfectly good for Hector, with Amber and Dane. And we see Hector truly loves them and is totally exciting when we are driving him to them. Amber and Dane genuinely love dogs, considering the ones they are sitting as theirs and this makes us fully confident when we have no other choice than leaving Hector while we have to travel.”

“Julie and Kenneth were wonderful with our miniature schnauzer, River! We received updates with pictures on how she was doing throughout her stay with them, and we couldn’t have felt more comfortable leaving her with this wonderful family! Highly recommend!”

“Stacy was great and made sure my little dude was comfortable at her house; as he can be very anxious in a new place. She had homemade treats and did a doggy painting for the 4th of July (so the dog(s) can be distracted during fireworks). I will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Sandi stay with Beverly was great. She’s attentive and communicated daily with text and by sending pictures. She gets a 10 out of 10 rating and Sandi will be back again.”

“Teresa was very good with my Nyla this weekend. She sent lots of pictures and a video on Nyla’s weekend fun. She also went out of her way to clip Nyla’s nails. I highly recommend Teresa for your pet sitting needs.”

“I told Stephanie that she can check on my cats any time as long as 1 was in the morning and 1 at night while I went away for the weekend. She actually followed the schedule I put to the tee and updated me the entire time I was gone. Thank you so much for caring for my 3 cats!”

“Thank you so much for taking care of our babies! I can’t believe you got to see Nemo this time 😊 We love how you speak their language and know how to put up with their moods (biscuit haha). Best cat sitter ever!”

“Blake was absolutely wonderful to work with! He was incredibly patient and flexible with my spouse’s ever-changing availability, which ultimately made it possible for him to join us on our trip. That level of understanding and accommodation meant so much to us. Our cats were very well cared for, and we had complete peace of mind knowing they were in such capable and attentive hands. Blake kept everything running smoothly, and it was clear he genuinely cared about their well-being. We’re so grateful for the service he provided and wouldn’t hesitate to book with him again. Highly recommend!”

“I was reluctant to use rover because I haven’t been away from my cat before but she was amazing!! She gave daily updates and pictures and made me feel comfortable with the idea of rover. Will 100% book her again the next time I leave town 🩷”

“Jordan was awesome! She took care of our cats for a few days. I was so impressed to see that even our shyest cat would come out and greet her. Will definitely book her services again!”

“This was our 3rd time having Jem watch the kitties and as always had a great experience. Iris and athena are so weird with new people but Jem has taken the time and effort to make sure they can be comfortable. Even at times they might get a bit upset she handles it so well and understands what their body language is saying.”

“Daisy had a great time with Cassandra and Tradd. She had a fun time playing with noodle and macaroni as well as their two children. Very thankful we found them and absolutely intend on reaching out the next time we are going out of town!”

“My dog is extremely attached to me, so I was nervous about leaving her with a sitter. However, Akemi has the disposition and experience I was pretty sure would work for my dog, and I was right! Akemi has been fantastic about entertaining my dog, so she isn't so sad while also creating such a loving and positive environment for my dog that my dog now adores her too! She was able to quickly bond with my dog making it so my dog and I both feel comfortable leaving her with Akemi. Akemi is quickly responsive to messages and always sends a detailed report with plenty of pictures after each session. I feel confident I am leaving my dog in secure and loving hands.”

About: Hi! I’m a dedicated pet lover with hands-on experience working at a professional boarding facility for a year, where I cared for dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and needs. That experience taught me how to handle everything from high-energy pups to more anxious or shy dogs, always with patience and care. I also have two dogs of my own, so I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. I treat every animal like they’re part of my own family and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I’m available any time, any day, and offer a wide range of services including walks, drop-ins, and boarding. I’m very reliable and always keep owners updated with messages and photos so you never have to wonder how your pet is doing. Whether your pet needs playtime, structure, or just some extra love and attention, I’m here to help! Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine since I’m available full-time and have a very flexible schedule. I plan my days around the pets I’m caring for to make sure they get consistent attention, exercise, and care throughout the day. Since I’m available any time, I can accommodate early mornings, late evenings, and last-minute bookings. Your pet will never be left alone for long periods, and I make sure they’re always a priority in my schedule. I provide attentive, personalized care based on each pet’s routine and needs. In my home, I create a safe, clean, and comfortable environment where pets can relax, play, and feel at home. I follow their normal feeding, walking, and sleeping schedules as closely as possible to keep things consistent and stress-free. In a client’s home, I respect their space and maintain their pet’s routine exactly as instructed. This includes feeding, walks, playtime, and any special care like administering medication if needed. I also make sure pets get plenty of attention, affection, and supervision at all times. With my experience working at a boarding facility, I’m comfortable handling different temperaments and ensuring every pet feels safe and well cared for.

About: Hello! I come to Rover with over 40 years of experience caring for pets of all kinds. I’ve spent my entire life around animals, and for over 30 years (beginning as a volunteer at age 14 with my local wildlife museum), I’ve worked hands-on with animals in a variety of settings. Caring for animals isn’t just something I do—it’s something I truly love and feel deeply connected to. Every pet has their own personality, routines, and little quirks, and taking the time to understand what makes each one feel safe, comfortable, and happy is what makes me an exceptional pet sitter. Whether it’s keeping up with your furry family member's familiar routines (such as going for walks, play, and mealtimes) or simply offering calm companionship in whatever form that takes, I cater to each pet individually so they feel as at ease as possible while you’re away. My background in nursing makes me comfortable administering most medications—including pills, injections, and specialized treatments—with confidence and ease. I always follow your care instructions and often take pictures or videos at our meet-and-greet to refer back to later as well. (I can also do more than one meet-and-greet if necessary for an additional cost based on time and driving distance.) In addition to practical care, I bring a grounded, gentle presence and am certified in animal Reiki, which can be especially comforting for anxious or high-energy pets. I also treat your home with the same respect and care I give your pet so that you can return to a calm, tidy space and a happy companion. I currently have a very flexible schedule that can be adapted to a variety of needs, including caring for birds, rodents, reptiles, and more, ensuring I can meet your pet's unique needs. I hope I get the opportunity to meet with you and your pet in person and see if we might make a good fit! I am not currently working outside the home, apart from Rover, and do not accept other jobs while I am caring for your pet (s). When you book me as your sitter I can guarantee that your pet will have my undivided attention the whole stay. Earning your pets trust and ensuring they are always safe, (both inside the home and outside on walls, etc.), is my top priority as a pet sitter. I follow the rules you put into place for their care and will always contact you should there be any concerns. (Thankfully there rarely are!)

“Nichole was awesome with my Husky Skye! She was very attentive and kept me updated throughout the day with how she was doing as well as sent pictures! I would recommend her to any of my pet parent friends!”

My life revolves around what my animals need. I look forward to giving that quality care to your pet! I strive to give my animals the best life possible. I am excited to give your pets the best care. “Morgan was so easy to work with and such a kind individual! This is my first time using a dog walking service. My dog is very shy and timid in nature, but Morgan was very calm and patient with him and also very reassuring towards me regarding my concerns with his fearfulness. Will certainly use her again in the future!”

About: I have taken care of dogs ranging from chihuahua to great dane. I have a preference for taking care of small-medium dogs due to my size (I'm 5"2 and about 155lbs) but am willing to take care of larger dogs dependingon their needs and temperament. I've been around dogs nearly all my life. If you have other pets that need care for will be around for home stays and pop ins I'm all for it as long as you inform me ahead of time. I love all animals be it dogs, cats, rabbits, snakes, fish, etc. I am currently taking a break from full time work so my schedule is fairly flexible these days. I have my own car so I have reliable transportation. I also have a doggy seat belt that, depending on the size of your dog, I may be able to use if you wish for me to take them to a dog park or the trails of the Dismal Swamp. While I am willing to take care of animals in their home I will not be taking any pets to my personal residence. I live with 2 Spaniels and 2 cats. The cats do not tolerate strange dogs coming and going.
About: I started watching my cousin’s dogs at 15. From there I continued to watch the dogs that I call my own, and have lived with continually since 2018. I have experience taking care of senior dogs, dogs that have medical issues, dogs that’s require medication, special needs dogs, and dogs post op. I have given insulin, oral medication, eye drops, & topical ointments to our dogs for various conditions. I have experience caring for up to 7 dogs at a time. Breeds i have cared for are German Shepards, pit bulls, beagles, jack Russells, chihuahuas, Pekingese, a hound dog, and a lab. I’ve also helped bathe our dogs with our friend who was a vet tech. Several of our dogs in the past required medication. One had type one diabetes, Cushings, & myokemia. 2 of our chihuahuas had congestive heart failure & one had to have an eye removed. Our Pekingese had both eyes removed and suffered from recurring kidney issues that resulted in recurrent UTIs. Our one jack Russell who was 16 1/2 suffered from seizures towards the end of her life and needed Valium rectally. I’ve also done a few dog transports to help out a rescue in NC to get them to a foster. I currently don't work, so I have a lot of free time to watch pets. As long as the pets in my household are being taken care of, I have endless time to spend with your furbabies. I have plenty of toys including a snuffle mat and puzzle toys. I love using familiar environments (a walk to their favorite place) and familiar items (a favorite toy for example) to them to de-stress them. I also like using Amazon Alexa, if the owner has it, to play soothing music. I use positive reinforcement for corrections that need to be made. I believe in cuddling with dogs who need some extra love, and walks for dogs who would rather get their energy out. I would love being able to go somewhere to throw frisbees or balls like i do in our yard with our dogs. I have no problem getting dogs into crates when I need to leave. Walking is always done on a regular leash (no retractable leashes). For smaller dogs I walk them on harnesses to avoid them getting loose. For larger dogs, I can either walk them on a harness or just using a regular collar. Because of our German Shepard, I do know how to use a pinch collar if the owner requests and is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. I will not walk them during the day when it is too hot and they could burn their pads.

I work from home so I will have plenty of time to take care of your pups whether that means cuddling, playing, or going for a walk outside! I have a fenced yard and 3 friendly pups to keep your baby company. I can also crate your pup if needed as we have 2 large crates and a small crate available!

“Stacy was great and made sure my little dude was comfortable at her house; as he can be very anxious in a new place. She had homemade treats and did a doggy painting for the 4th of July (so the dog(s) can be distracted during fireworks). I will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Teresa was very good with my Nyla this weekend. She sent lots of pictures and a video on Nyla’s weekend fun. She also went out of her way to clip Nyla’s nails. I highly recommend Teresa for your pet sitting needs.”

“Beth and her family were so great with our dog! They were reliable, caring, and kept us updated with photos and messages throughout the stay. Picked up a happy, and well cared for pup and will definitely book with them again!”

“Our boarding experience was great with Crystal! With a weeks notice, she accepted our request to watch our German Shepherd, Dirk. Great communication and sent a photo of Dirk during our 3 night stay… or so we thought it was going to be 3 nights. Our flight was cancelled day of and Crystal was able to keep Dirk for another night with no problems. This is our first time using Rover and highly recommend Crystal for anyone!”

“Kobie made sure my fur babies were well taken care of while i had to travel. Loved being able to get videos of them while i was gone. Will definitely recommend him.”

“Eric and his family were great for our Evey girl. Even went as fall as meeting first in order to ensure we were a good fit/uncomfortable with leaving her. Eric was extremely responsive when I would check in. Flexible on pick up and drop off times. Evey is happy to be home for sure, but no doubt was well taken care of by the family. Thanks!”
