“Julie and Ken were the best in nurturing our dog while we were out of town. They kept us well informed about how our dog was doing, provided frequent photos, and made us feel comfortable that she was in good hands.”

“Dane and Amber are incredible hosts! Our dogs had an amazing time with them — it’s clear they were well cared for and had lots of fun. They’re professional, reliable, and truly passionate about what they do. You can absolutely trust them with your pets. We’re so grateful to have found such a great Rover family!”

“We had a great experience with Kathleen, great communication. Even before we dropped off our dog she was communicating with us and answered any concerns I had. Stays in contact and is great with keeping you updated with what the dog is doing through great videos and a lot good pictures. If you’re looking for a great person to take of your dog you found the right person. Thank you for everything Kathleen.”

“Megan has truly been a life saver! This is my dog Sage’s second long stay with Megan and her family and Sage has been doing great and she loves it! She has been socializing very well with her two dogs and her family. Her anxiety has gotten better with every stay. Megan always keeps us updated with plenty of text and pictures. I will definitely be booking again soon. I highly recommend Megan. -Ross Family”

“Stacy was great and made sure my little dude was comfortable at her house; as he can be very anxious in a new place. She had homemade treats and did a doggy painting for the 4th of July (so the dog(s) can be distracted during fireworks). I will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Tina is amazing!!!! She kept me informed the entire time my dog was with her. I received pictures and text messages letting me know how my little fur baby was doing. When I picked my dog up and we finally got home , he was so exhausted from playing. Which is a plus…I guess I need to see about getting him a playmate. I would definitely Recommend her for dog sitting and I will definitely be taking my little fur baby back to her.”

“I cannot thank Rachel and Andrew enough for always taking care of my Bella. They’re the best and are so accommodating to make sure she always have the best time. As long as we’re living in Hampton roads, they’ll always be our first choice. Thank you both so much.”

“She was so great with my little boy. I just knew as sweet as my baby was, she would have to end the stay early. But she was so kind and patient with him. She sent pictures and videos of him and what he was up to. He was able to have the same one on one time with her like he would work my regular schedule. He had a ball. If she allows him back, I will definitely book with her again.”

“Absolutely wonderful! My spoiled and picky old man stayed with Lillian and Timothy for the first time, and I could not have asked for better and more considerate care. They cleverly found ways to get him to take his medication when he was being fussy with his usual turkey wraps. And they sent lots of pictures of him enjoying walks, having cozy naps, and getting plenty of attention and love. 10/10 recommend!”

“Beth and her family were so great with our dog! They were reliable, caring, and kept us updated with photos and messages throughout the stay. Picked up a happy, and well cared for pup and will definitely book with them again!”

“We had a great experience working with Melanie! She was attentive, caring, and kept us updated throughout our pet (Kash’s) stay. We really appreciated the regular pictures and messages showing how he was doing, it gave us so much peace of mind. Kash was well cared for, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again. Highly recommend!”

“This was our second time with María and Matthew, and once again they were fantastic! I feel so at ease knowing my fur baby is in such loving and reliable hands. Highly recommend!”

“She is wonderful! I was going out of state so I was a little nervous- but she is amazing at what she does. She suggested a meet and greet with dogs beforehand which was an excellent idea. Martina- thank you again!”

“Choose Geneive when you want your dog to be loved and expertly cared for! This was our first time using Rover and we are so happy with the choice we made. Our dog, Kirby, had a fun, safe stay. Geneive’a dog, Lady, was very friendly with him and they enjoyed walks along with visits to the dog park. We received lots of photos and updates which helped us to relax and enjoy our time away.”

“MaryAnn did an awesome job watching my dog. She took her in on short notice over the holidays and sent me great pictures every day. She even gave her a small birthday party with extra turkey for dinner! Highly recommend!”

“Cassy & Tradd are a great family and took very good care of our two fur babies. They kept us well informed during their stay. We feel very comfortable leaving them for our next vacation.”

“Sherry was great. I was scared to leave the pup with strangers but her home has a welcoming atmosphere. Obi seemed very relaxed and comfortable so I knew he was in safe hands.”

“This was our first time leaving our little Golden doodle with Samantha. I will say, I was a bit intimidated by leaving him with a pit bull there, but upon meeting the pit bull he was the sweetest big dog ever. My worries immediately vanished! There were a couple other dogs there, so that was nice. There was one dog a bit too interested in my little guy, so I didn’t want to leave until he calmed down. Samantha never made me feel rushed to leave or weird. She was super patient and asking me if I wanted the dogs split up, or inside or outside. I really thought that said a lot about the person I was leaving our baby with and I really liked that. I say all that to say, you can’t always control how dogs will interact with each other, but you can control how you react to them and Samantha was very calm, kind and friendly. She never looked overwhelmed or nervous. She was a bit embarrassed I think because of the initial behavior of this other dog she was caring for, but I understood that wasn’t a reflection of her care. We left out little guy there 3 days and she communicated through the day with updates, sent photos and even went the extra step of boiling and egg to mix it with my dogs food since we do that for him at home too. I’m thankful we found someone to watch our guy for when we need it! Highly recommend! 10 out of 10!”

Nicholas was an absolute blessing! He accepted watching Buffy on very short notice and went above and beyond from start to finish. He made sure Buffy was well cared for by taking her on walks, giving her plenty of attention, and keeping us updated with constant texts, photos, and videos. He even put an AirTag on Buffy while we were away, which gave us even more peace of mind. This was our first time using the app, and Nicholas exceeded every expectation. We never had to worry about Buffy for a second because we knew she was in great hands. Thank you for everything, Nicholas! If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. We will definitely book with you again!

Madison loved my little man just as much as me so leaving him with her was easy. She sent photo updates while I was away which gave me more comfort seeing he settled in well with her. She followed our routine so nothing was out of the norm for him. She’s perfect! I will most definitely book with her again.

I contacted Daisy LATE for the possible care of my Dog as a previous Sitter was not a good fit...we had a Meet/Greet on same day I contacted her which went well!! and she agreed to watch him for the weekend! She sent pictures plus she has an older dog who is chill like mine and they got along fine!! Her and her husband, Walter really cool people who care about and for your pet. very clean house, plenty of fenced in yard for my dog to 'explore'. I highly recommend Daisy, husband Walter and their 'boy' Teddy!!!!
Isaac took excellent care of our dogs, Duchess and Jojo, while we were away on a week-long cruise. His communication was great throughout our trip, and we really appreciated the frequent photo updates. We picked up our pups happy, healthy, and clearly well cared for. We would absolutely recommend Isaac to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter.

Very easy to drop them off and pick up, Brandon came to help and was super friendly and very welcoming for my chaotic kiddos. He did a phenomenal job taking good care of them while I was away. I got lots of pictures of their walks and the fun things they did this amend. I was worried because one of my boys has an anxious attachment personality due to his upbringing before I adopted him, but that wasn’t much of an issue with him due to the comfort and care that was provided. Extremely happy with the service (:

Thankful to Paul and his family for accommodating Bo and Jackson during a challenging sitter scheduling. He picked up my dogs from another sitter, identified some pet injuries, and reported them back to let me know my pets were safe and secure. Thanks to him and his family for providing me peace of mind.

Zimir was absolutely great. We had some last minute changes to our plans and he was able to watch our dogs on short notice. He provided lots of updates, as well as pictures. I definitely recommend Zimir. He was great at communicating as well. Thank you very much Zimir!

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
