“My loved dogs received excellent care! Lots of pics. Dogs were brushed and clean when I picked them up. Their tiny dog got along great with my bigger dogs! I recommend them and would use again.”

“Megan was awesome to my yorkie! Provided updates to reassure me he was doing well! I highly recommend her for your fur babies!! I will definitely use her again. When arriving home my yorkie was his normal self and no indication of anxiety.”

Stays in contact and is great with keeping you updated with what the dog is doing through great videos and a lot good pictures. If you’re looking for a great person to take of your dog you found the right person. Thank you for everything Kathleen.”

“Jamie was absolutely fantastic! This was our first time using Rover and Jamie made it an absolutely great experience. Luna was absolutely worn out and had to catch a nap when she got home. Jamie and her family are wonderful people. After meeting with them the first time we knew that Luna would be in great hands. She sent pics and daily updates without us having to ask at all! We definitely will be using Jamie in the future and we highly recommended to anyone else looking for a dog sitter.”

“Our golden retriever, June, had a fabulous weekend with Geneive and her family! We got so many photo updates which made us feel better about leaving her behind for our trip. Geneive is always our go-to Rover!”

“What a treasure we have found! Shannon, her family, and three sweet dogs did an excellent job caring for Kirby. Her communication was perfect and we felt totally at ease while we traveled. Kirby is the only dog at our house and we could tell that he really enjoyed playing with Shannon’s dogs. Her home and yard were perfect for Kirby - he had space to run but also plenty of space to cuddle. Would definitely recommend!”

“Marie was everything we could ask for! She communicated with us daily. She sent photos of our puppy playing and that made all the difference. Her back yard was big enough for our GSP to run around and enjoy herself all day. Thank you so much Marie!”

“It was Bandits 1st time away from us. Megan and her husband were very welcoming. They took great care of him. She very knowledgeable and loves all animals. If you need a sitter, look no further than Megan.”

“Julianne is great with arwyn our 5 lb chihuahua. She takes care of her daily walks and specialized meals and treats her as one of her own pups. Arwyn is always happy when I come to get her, looking forward to booking with her in the future!!!”

“Nicholas was an absolute blessing! He accepted watching Buffy on very short notice and went above and beyond from start to finish. He made sure Buffy was well cared for by taking her on walks, giving her plenty of attention, and keeping us updated with constant texts, photos, and videos. He even put an AirTag on Buffy while we were away, which gave us even more peace of mind. This was our first time using the app, and Nicholas exceeded every expectation. We never had to worry about Buffy for a second because we knew she was in great hands. Thank you for everything, Nicholas! If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. We will definitely book with you again!”

Absolutely amazing! We needed someone to watch Ted extremely last minute, and they were able to get him in without hesitation. They are always so great with him, and it gives us a lot of peace of mind knowing he’s in good hands. They also send pictures and updates, which make me feel connected to Ted even when I’m away. I would trust them with Ted anytime and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for someone reliable and caring to watch their dog. Thank you again!

Jessica cared for my Westie for 10.5 days. It was the longest time he'd been away from home and his normal routine. He's almost eleven so I'm sensitive to his care. When I picked him up he was calm and happy, very relaxed. At home he was completely fine and transitioned well. He received his monthly flea/tick medicine while with Jessica. He may have lost a little weight but nothing significant. I expect that dogs eat less out of their routine and he is eating fine at home. I would have liked regular updates but I didn't discuss this prior to booking. I would book again in the future with Jessica.

Brittney was so amazing with my boy and made sure to send plenty of pictures and video updates! For a dog who can be hesitant around new people he was immediately comfortable with her and had a blast playing with her dog Sakari. Brittney was flexible with pick up and drop off as well! I 100% would recommend and felt so comfortable with her watching my fur baby!

Abigail was AMAZING!! She updated us every day and sent pictures/videos. The meet and greet was what sold us and her dogs were so so friendly with my dog! They have a welcoming and cozy place with a huge fenced in backyard for the pups to play in! Would definitely rebook with Abigail and recommend her 100%!

I have nothing but positive recommendations for Michele! She took amazing care of our Moxie and I wouldn’t hesitate to use her again. She was very communicative and provided pictures and video. She is exactly what you hope for when you place your fur baby with someone to watch. 100%

95% of sitters in Stone Bridge can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Stone Bridge.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in VA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
