About: Ever since I was young animals have played a huge role in my life. From my first dog to the mini zoo I have today. I am familiar with many breeds of dogs and cats as well as reptiles and recognize each one has its own characteristics and personality. Whether it's a walk, play time, or just someone to keep your pet company, I will appreciate and enjoy my time with them. I am a stay at home father of two. I am available most days. I have been working with pets for the past 4 years M-F with the occasional weekend visits. I love what I do and I take pride in my ability to befriend all pets. I believe each and every person has a responsibility, when they take on a pet, to give it the best life with a loving owner. I have 2 dogs, 2 cats, 4 lizards, 2 turtles, and 4 fish who all get attention suited to their needs and desires while also being attentive to proper and healthy care.
About: I've grown up with dogs my entire life and I love all animals! I have experience with health issues and giving dogs medication. My family has trained and raised puppies, and rescued several senior and abused dogs. I also have experience with cats, rodents, and reptiles. I treat every animal I encounter with love, kindness, and patience. I love walking and playing with them, and becoming a friend. I am a recent engineering grad from Penn State. I can give quality love and attention to any animal that is in my care. My roommate works from home and I work during the day, so we available for care 24/7. I currently live in an home with 2 cats and 1 dog. We have a fenced in backyard. I will be very attentive and follow any directions left for your pet when they are in my care. Whether it is at my place or yours, I will do my best to treat your dog like family and to make sure they are as happy and comfortable as possible while you are away. If you create your pet, I just ask that you bring their crate as well as any blankets, toys, or treats that might help them feel more comfortable.
About: I have one small 3 legged rescue and just adopted another rescue September 2025 who is recovering from being hit by a car. Both are chihuahua s Prior to moving to Virginia I fostered both cats and dogs. I was known as a foster failure since I adopted many of my fosters and at one time I had 8 dogs. I love all animal but have a special place in my heart for dogs. I am retired and have lots of time on my hands and would love to spend some time with your dog when you are not able to. I will treat them as if they were mine9. I have two small dog that does fine with other dogs. My yard is fenced and secure. I believe dogs belong in the house since they are part of the family.
“Jason was great with our one year old puppy, Odin! We met with Jason and his dogs beforehand and we could already tell that Jason was going to be attentive and good with Odin. His dogs were all great, too! Odin played the day away and we got updates and adorable pics, which were very much appreciated. We will definitely be sending him back! Highly recommend!”

I’m currently unemployed, as I’ve just recently moved back to the area, which means I have a lot of availability and a flexible schedule. I’m joining Rover to earn some extra income doing something I genuinely love—spending time with dogs. It would be a privilege to care for your furry family member, and I look forward to meeting you both! I would love to care for your fur baby in your home, take them for walks, and I’m also open to welcoming them into my home, where I have a fenced-in yard if team appropriate with my own animals.
“Learick had great communication while keeping my puppy which was great, considering I was a first time Rover user and never had had a sitter before. Everyday I was sent photos + videos and provided with updates! I will definitely book again.”

About: Hi, I'm Shayree. Need someone to look after your pet for the day? Don't prefer the loud and stressful environment of a commercial daycare and boarding facility? I’ve got you covered! Whether they love to play, nap, or just hang out, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable and cared for while you’re out. My goal is to give them a stress-free, happy day with plenty of attention, playtime, and love—just like they’d get at home. Drop them off, go about your day, and rest easy knowing they’re in good hands. Let’s make sure your pet has a great day too! Message me if you have any questions or want to set up a visit! My routine of pet care includes walks for exercise, a routine feeding schedule along with playtime and cuddles. I also take time to give the dogs a little extra care by brushing them if they like to be brushed and of course they get to socialize with my Poodle Joey. Caring for pets in my home consists of creating a safe, comfortable, and loving environment. This includes starting with an initial consultation where we will meet and greet to ensure that my home is a good fit for your pet and to address any specific needs or concerns that you may have. During the meeting I'll gather information about your pets routine, dietary preferences, medical history and behavioral habits.

Karol is exceptionally awesome. I have 2 little girls and she took care of them so well. Took them out for multiple walks and to the park to play. Made them feel at home. I really appreciated that. I most certainly will use her again and do recommend giving her a try.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in VA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
