About: I’ve had dogs since I was a kid, of all types. My most recent breed was a Saint Bernard/Great Pyrenees. *He is not with me currently* I’ve had other large breeds, small breeds as well. I have training in ABA, and I know what it’s like to trust a stranger with your family. As an active duty sailor, I am on shore duty and have found myself with more free time than I could’ve ever imagined. Take those weekend trips you’ve been putting off, and know your doggo is in good hands with me Weekends (Friday-Sunday) are likely the best, but with advanced scheduling I can do during the week as well. If local to Virginia Beach or Norfolk, drop ins are not a problem at all. If you want your dog to stay home, house sitting is an option as well I live in a two bedroom apartment that’s pretty spacious and has vinyl flooring. I am only a few hundred feet from a dog park The community is very dog friendly, and your canine family will have no shortage of friends during their visit

About: As a lifelong pet owner and former boarding facility employee, I’m comfortable caring for pets of all personalities. I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away, and I’ll treat them like part of my own family. I currently work part-time so I have plenty of time to spend with your pets! The only day I cannot do is Tuesday unless it’s between 4pm and 8pm Since I only provide care in my clients’ homes, my goal is to keep pets happy and comfortable in their familiar environment. I follow their normal routine, make sure they get plenty of love, attention, exercise, and care, and send regular updates so owners know their pets are doing well.

About: Ever since I was a little girl there have been dogs in the house. When I was a young woman in my 20’s I worked at a wildlife rehab center in the suburbs of Chicago (Willowbrook Wildlife Haven). During my marriage I fostered dogs for 5 years and we also had our own dogs, everything from a Beagle to a Collie to Golden Retrievers. I love bird watching, love Ornithology! My love of animals has apparently rubbed off onto my kids. One daughter has two cats and one dog and my other daughter rescued her dog two years ago. The saying of “Who Rescued Who” is very true since she needed some four legged love during her college life and her dog has truly bonded with her! I am a stay at home mom, soon to be an empty nester. I am wanting to fill my time with some four legged love! I have a very large fenced in yard and a doggy door in the kitchen area. I love that door, my dogs just come and go and it’s great if I’m out and about for a few hours!

About: I live in the Chic’s Beach area in a duplex with my boyfriend. I understand that every pet has their own personality and needs, so I focus on giving them patience, attention, and plenty of playtime. I treat every pet like they are my own and always want them to feel comfortable and cared for. I always make sure to keep owners updated with photos and messages. I have been around dogs ever since I was an infant and grew up caring for them so being around animals is very natural to me. I am available for structured walks and exercise, regular feedings, reinforcing basic commands, basic puppy training, oral medication delivery, brushing/basic hygiene and loads of fun! Four years ago I rescued my cat, Sage, from the SPCA which changed my life for the better. She made me realize how much I love caring for and connecting with animals. Because of that, I always make sure pets feel safe, happy, and loved while their owners are away. I work full-time from home from 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, which allows me to easily fit pet care into my daily routine. I have a 30-minute lunch break and a two 15-minute breaks during the day that I can take at any time, making it easy for me to stop by for visits, feedings, or check-ins if you are within the nearby area. After 3:30 PM, I have plenty of time to dedicate to playing with, caring for, and giving your pets lots of attention. My main priority is keeping your animal safe and comfortable. I live in a very clean smoke-free duplex that has a yard and is in an amazing dog-walking area. I love to go outside so taking them out for walks multiple times a day will never be a problem.

About: My family are animal-lovers and I have always been raised with dogs and cats in our home. As an adult, I couldn’t wait to have a pet of my own! Tucker, the Australian Shepherd you see in many photos was my first ever dog on my own. I got him during my 3rd year in the Army and he kept me company as a single soldier living across the country. We traveled back and forth to Fort Bliss, Texas and experienced so much along the way. Sadly, he developed bone cancer just after turning 4 and passed away. But I learned so much about pet care, through both our loving times and hard times with them. I share the same love and compassion for pets that I know you all have for your animal family (because we know ‘friends’ isn’t a strong enough word to describe them!). I have 1 little loving pup at home so overnights would need to be discussed. I look forward to meeting you, and even more so to meeting your furry friend! I have trained my own little guy to multiple property lines so he is unleashed when on private property. However he is leashed at all times while at my apartment complex. Extra precautions are taken to ensure proper use of the leash prior to using on the dog (i.e., retractable, non-pull, etc.). Proximity control of the dog when near doors as well to ensure they don’t accidentally escape. On walks, ensuring knowledge of your dog and how they respond to people, animals, wildlife, etc. Also ensuring cats are unable to sneak out the door when coming/going (because we know, if they can, they will!)
