Scott is absolutely great - and our beagle loves going over there to hangout with their kids. We’ve only used them for daycare so far, but it’s great to know she’s happy and safe!

About: I love animals. I’ve had my cat for 6 years, but have cat/dog sat before that and throughout the years. I am a senior in college and my schedule is pretty flexible, I would love to take care of your pet whenever you need! This summer I am looking for a job and currently unemployed. In the fall, I will be taking a few classes, but only a few times a week and during the afternoon/evenings. In my home, my roommates have an indoor/outdoor cat, so other animals would not be allowed in my home. Otherwise, I can come to client’s homes and care for your pet!

Absolutely perfect first experience with rover. Maggie sets the bar high with a welcoming home environment. She know exactly what she is doing - let the dogs meet freely, run freely and he felt right at home. I was so nervous but knew right away he would be fine. She sent pics throughout the day for reassurance and to let me see my buddy. Thanks so much!

Look no further for pet care! We found Christene after having a horrible experience at a different doggy daycare business. We are so glad we did! Our 4 year old chocolate lab loved spending the day at Christene’s and came home happy/perfectly tired. We will be using her again!

About: I have volunteered at the local shelters since I was 9 years old. I am in school for my vet technician degree currently. I have worked at a pet store. I am doing an externship with a local vet as well. I am currently working part-time at the aquarium. I am also doing an externship with a local vet. I am in school for my marine biology bachelor's and veterinary science associate. I love all animals, and having three little fur babies, I would treat your baby no different than mine. I will always follow all the rules that are set by the owner. If I have any questions I will not hesitate to ask them. About: "Whoever said diamonds are a girl's best friend...never owned a dog" I live in a townhouse in Williamsburg with husband, our 1 year old daughter and our puppy, Korben. Dog sitting is a full family experience in our home, both our daughter and puppy love it when we have house guests. In fact our daughter’s first word was “doggie”, so it’s very important that dogs that come into our home do well with children as much as they do well with other dogs. While we don’t have a fenced in yard we make up for it with a walking path in the neighborhood and many other walking trails close by, we generally go on two walks a day, weather permitting. I've been sitting for my friends and family for as long as I can remember. So if your looking for a place where your dog will be well cared for and have a lot of fun in the process, look no further. Please don't hesitate to e-mail me with further questions, I want you to feel comfortable when you leave your dog with me while you are out of town. I work mostly from home so your pup will have the hands on attention they deserve! We offer ample love and attention through walks and belly rubs. There are occasions I will need to leave the house for work, but I’m usually not gone more than an hour or so. In those instances we’ll recreate what you do with your pup when leave your home. I really try to mimic your routine at home as best as possible. I know that coming to a new home can be stressful for the pup so I try to ease that transition by sticking to your routine as best I can.

About: I’ve always been an animal lover, and caring for pets has been a part of my life for years. From playful puppies to senior dogs who need extra patience, I know how to adjust my care to fit each pet’s personality and needs. I have hands-on experience with feeding, walking, administering medications, crate training, and keeping pets comfortable while their owners are away. Friends and family often rely on me to watch their dogs and cats, and I treat every animal like they’re my own—plenty of cuddles, playtime, and attention included! Whether your pet is full of energy or just enjoys lounging around, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and cared for at all times. Pet care is just a natural part of my day. I’m used to building my routine around feeding, walks, playtime, and lots of love. I make sure pets get their exercise, attention, and cuddles every single day, because I know how much those little things matter. Each week, I also set time aside for things like brushing, extra play, or whatever makes them happiest. Taking care of animals doesn’t feel like a chore to me — it’s something I truly enjoy and look forward to. I care for pets like they’re part of the family! In my home, they’ll have a safe, cozy space with plenty of love, playtime, and snuggles. In your home, I follow their normal routine so they feel comfortable and cared for—whether that’s walks, meals, meds, or cuddle time. Every pet is unique, and I make sure they get the attention and affection they deserve. 💕🐾

About: I have had dogs from puppies to seniors and they have all have been a part of my family. I have experience training puppies and even teaching old dogs new tricks. I have a wonderful home full of dog love. My family and I have boarded friends and neighbors dogs and they rely on feeding, bathing, walking and provide plenty of love and attention. I currently have a wonderful English Lab, so this requires me to feed, walk and play with him throughout the day. I welcome some friends to join us in this daily routine. I have a decent sized home with plenty of room. Dogs can roam freely in a safe environment and will enjoy nice walks in my small community. Water is always available from a gravity water bowl, treats available for training/tricks or just cause. Depending on how your dog sleeps at night, kennel is available or they can jump in bed with us!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Williamsburg on Rover is $29.97 per day (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 272 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Williamsburg. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Williamsburg commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in VA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 272 sitters in Williamsburg, 87% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
