About: I have experience rescuing cats and dogs and administering medication. I’ve also done house sitting and pet sitting for several homes. I enjoy running and playing with dogs to keep them active and happy, and I can also help them stay calm when needed. I offer walks up to 1 hour and can safely handle up to 3 dogs at a time. I’m comfortable cleaning up after pets, changing diapers if needed, and giving medication. I work Mondays and Wednesday–Friday from 7 to 3, and Saturdays from 3 to 11pm. I’m free all day on Tuesdays and Sundays 😊 I adapt to each home and follow the owner’s preferences and routine for their pets. I make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for, whether that includes walks, playtime, feeding, medication, or keeping their space clean. I always adjust to each pet’s personality and needs.

About: Animals have always been a constant part of my life. I grew up in a home where there were always dogs and cats around, caring for them wasn’t just a responsibility, it was part of daily life. Over the years, I have personally raised and cared for three dogs of my own, each with different personalities and needs, which taught me patience, structure, and how to connect with animals on an individual level. Most recently, I adopted another dog into the family, adding even more joy and playful to the house. From energetic puppies to gentle seniors, I have experienced it all training, playtime, feeding routines, crate care, walks, and of course, lots of cuddles. Whether your pet is shy or social, active or relaxed, we understand how to make them feel safe, loved, and at home. I have a partner who has been pet sitting for her friends and co-workers last 4 years. I work at shipyard, but my work is pretty flexible that I can check out our dogs or any other pet frequently to make sure they receive enough attention love and most importantly care. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. In my home, I provide a calm and secure environment where dogs can relax and be themselves. I have a fully fenced big yard for safe outdoor play, and I supervise all interactions to make sure everyone is happy and comfortable. I follow your pet’s routine as closely as possible — from feeding schedules to crate preferences and bedtime habits — so they feel right at home. I never use harsh corrections; instead, I rely on positive reinforcement, patience, and gentle guidance. I also keep my home clean, pet-proofed, and free of anything unsafe. Whether your dog is playful, shy, or somewhere in between, we make sure they always feel safe, respect. I will keep sending regular updates and pictures or videos so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands

About: I am an animal fanatic! I love animals more than I love people! I love to walk, play and cuddle. I have owned dogs from puppy to adult. Pet care is a big part of my everyday life! I work three days a week, which means I have plenty of free time to give your pets the attention they deserve. I’m off on weekends and have two additional days off during the week (those days vary), so my schedule is pretty flexible. Even on my workdays, I’m available for morning, evening, or quick mid-day visits depending on your needs. Caring for animals is something I truly enjoy, so I always make time for it in my routine! 🐶🐱💛 About Me 🐾 Hi there! Whether your pet needs a quick potty break, a fun walk to burn some energy, or just some company and cuddles, I’m here to help! I also have plenty of experience giving medications to both dogs and cats, including pills, topical treatments, and even more specific care needs. You can rest easy knowing your pet is in gentle, capable hands. I treat every pet I care for as if they were my own — with love, patience, and respect. I’ll also keep you updated with messages and photos during each visit so you can see how your pet is doing and feel connected while you’re away. About: Hi! I’m Kristy, and caring for animals has always been one of my favorite things. As both a dog and cat owner, I know how important it is to find someone you genuinely trust with your furry family members. I have experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and personalities—including senior pets and those with special medical needs. I’m comfortable giving medications, following special diets, and caring for pets who need a little extra patience, attention, or reassurance. Having cared for my own pets through health challenges, I’ve learned how important it is to be observant, reliable, and proactive. Before changing careers, I was a teacher, so being dependable, organized, and communicative comes naturally to me. I’ll always treat your pets as if they were my own and keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages so you can enjoy your time away knowing they’re in good hands. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or simply having a calm, comforting presence around, I’m happy to meet them where they are. I can’t wait to get to know you and your furry family! I currently have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. Whether it’s walks, drop-in visits, overnight stays, or sticking to a specific routine, I’m able to be reliable, responsive, and accommodate a variety of scheduling needs—including weekdays, evenings, and weekends. I truly enjoy spending time with animals, and I love being able to give them the care, attention, and companionship they deserve. While I don’t host pets in my home because my own dog prefers to have her space, I’d love to care for your pets through house sitting, drop-in visits, or walks. I find many pets are happiest staying in their familiar environment, and I’m committed to keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible while you’re away.

About: Hi my name is Joyce and I love working with animals as I have many animals of my own. I have a pup, a baby hamster, a turtle and a school of fish. I love animals and I treat them like they are my children. My skills are walking my pup (this includes a nice walk, and picking up their feces with a plastic bag), bathing them when needed, feeding them and playing with them. I make sure my fish and turtle are fed and their tanks are cleaned and up to date. I also make sure my hamster is fed and his cage is cleaned and up to date. All other animals are treated the same with lots of loyalty, much respect and lots of love. I’m currently working part-time on the weekends, so I’ll have plenty of time to play with your pups and show them all the attention they need! I Have two friendly pups that will keep your fur baby company! But if your dog don’t get along with other dogs I can keep them separated to make your fur baby is more comfortable. I’m currently working part-time. So I’ll have plenty of time to care for your pups and give them all the attention they need!! :) :) I have a nice size back yard and I also got a pup of my own that can keep your fur baby company! We were able to enjoy a worry-free vacation knowing that our pets and home were in good hands. Alyssa was punctual, respectful, caring, polite, and very attentive to our pets' needs. She took excellent care of our Goldendoodle and our Yorkie, who has difficulty eating due to having limited teeth, and made sure he received the extra care and attention he needed. Alyssa also went above and beyond by watering my plants and promptly notifying me when one of our trees came down during a storm. Her attentiveness and communication gave us peace of mind throughout our vacation. I am truly grateful to have had Alyssa as our sitter and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone dependable, caring, and trustworthy.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a West Point stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in West Point choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in West Point with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in West Point. On Rover:

  • 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
