“Briar was absolutely AMAZING. She dropped in to check on my girl while I was gone over the weekend. My dog can be very timid with new people and Briar was so patient and gave her all the love that she would allow her to give. Briar made sure to send pictures and update me with each check in. Will DEFINITELY be using her in the future”

“Chrissie has been absolutely amazing with my dog! She sends thorough descriptions of her visits, takes the best photos, and lets me know of any concerns promptly and efficiently! When Chrissie is with my dog, I know she is in the best hands! Chrissie is extremely reliable and trustworthy. We will continue to book with her :)”

“Larissa was beyond perfection with our puppy and senior dog! We had a last-minute need, and she came through with flying colors! Everything was clean and tidy, pictures were sent, and she really loved and cared for our dogs. We look forward to seeing her again soon! Thank you so much!! 🐾”

About: Hi! I currently have a boxer/shiba Inu and a rescue puppy. My boxer/shiba went through an intensive training program where I was taught how to train a dog as well so I’m great with dogs. I love dogs (maybe more than people lol) and whenever there’s a dog around me my heart melts and I just want to play with them and take care of all the pups!! I am currently a teacher and work Monday-Friday. I walk and/ or feed the pets I’m worked with before work and then again after work as well as play time. In the weekends I’m home all day long as well as in the summer months. I care for all animals as if they were my own. All animal get attention, scheduled meals, and exercise. I also have gates to separate animals if necessary.
About: I've been caring for animals since I was 7 years old, and my love for pets has only grown over the years. As an adult, I worked at an animal shelter, where I gained hands-on experience caring for dogs with a wide range of personalities, needs, and backgrounds. I have also adopted and cared for three dogs of my own throughout every stage of their lives, from energetic puppies to senior dogs requiring extra patience, attention, and specialized care. This experience has given me a strong understanding of daily pet care, administering medications, recognizing changes in behavior, and providing the love and comfort pets need to feel safe and happy. I treat every pet as if they were my own and understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy to care for your furry family members. Whether your pet needs a long walk, playtime, companionship, or extra attention due to age or special needs, I am committed to providing reliable, compassionate care while you're away. I am currently in between jobs, which gives me plenty of flexibility and time to provide your pets with the attention, care, and companionship they deserve. Whether your furry family member enjoys playtime, walks, cuddles, or simply having someone nearby, I can tailor my care to their individual needs and routine. As a lifelong pet owner with experience caring for both dogs and cats of all ages, I understand how important it is to ensure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. From energetic puppies and playful kittens to senior pets who need a little extra patience and care, I am committed to treating every animal as if they were my own. I have a fully fenced backyard with a 5-foot chain-link fence, providing a safe and secure space for your pet to play, explore, and enjoy the outdoors. I do not have neighbors directly adjacent to my yard, so there is minimal concern about pets being distracted or stressed by animals on the other side of the fence. I am a lifelong animal lover and currently share my home with a senior dog, whom I've raised since she was 8 weeks old, and a young cat who has been part of our family since he was 8 weeks old as well. Having cared for pets through every stage of life—from playful puppies and kittens to senior pets requiring extra attention—I understand that every animal has unique needs and routines. When your pet stays with me, they will be treated like a member of the family. My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and loving environment where they can feel at home while you're away. I personally allow my pets on the furniture, but I fully respect each owner's preferences. If your pet has specific rules, routines, feeding schedules, medication needs, or restrictions, just let me know and I will be happy to follow them to ensure consistency and comfort during their stay. I believe communication is important, so I am also happy to provide updates, photos, and messages while your pet is in my care, giving you peace of mind knowing they are safe, happy, and well loved.

About: I have experience with all animal types including dogs, cats, horses, livestock, birds, pocket pets and some reptiles. I am a licensed vet tech so I am also comfortable medicating animals that need it. I have 7 dogs and 3 cats, all of which are friendly with other animals. I will treat your pets as if they are my own no matter if they are being boarded or just going for a walk. Please feel free to ask any questions regarding your pets and their needs while you are working, vacationing, etc. I can care for pets early before work, mid-day and late after work. On weekends my schedule can be more flexible depending on what activities I have going on. Any dogs that come into my home will be treated as if they were my own. I have a fenced backyard for the dogs to play in. Boarding dogs will have their own room to hang out in.
About: I have cared for dogs in all stages of life. I really love dogs and the bond that is created between a dog and its owner. I have a border collie who needs daily stimulation and training. I have a daily routine with pet care as I have a dog of my dog. I think a big part of pet care is physical activity so I definitely try to do that every day. My dog roams free in my house because we have built trust to allow that to happen. Boundaries are set either at my home or a clients’ home.
About: I am open to caring for any and all pets. As someone who currently has 3 Great Pyrenees, an Austrian Kelpie puppy, and other pets, I am experienced in all areas and types. I have open availability to care for pets. I work for myself so build my schedule around jobs and appointments as needed. I am very flexible with accommodations so please reach out if you have any questions. I do not offer overnight in home care at the moment due to all of my pets at home but will gladly stay at your home with your pet. I can send pictures and videos of your pet to you and don't mind cameras in the home so you can drop in any time and see your fur and/or scaly baby.
About: Hello! My name is Victoria. I am 28 years old and currently an ICU nurse, with 5 years of previous emergency room experience with a deep love for animals. I bring a calm, attentive, and safety-focused approach to pet care—especially for dogs who need a little extra support. I’m comfortable administering medications (including injections), caring for senior dogs, and monitoring pets with medical or anxiety needs. If your dog has special routines or health concerns, you can trust they’ll be in capable hands. I know how important it is to feel at ease when leaving your pet, so I provide frequent updates, photos, and clear communication. My goal is for you to feel completely confident and your dog to feel completely at home. I have 3 dogs, Chester, Maverick, and Thor who have never met another pup they didnt like. My two older boys, Chester and Maverick, are content to lay around all day long if that is what your dog enjoys. However, I also have Thor, who is a year and a half and he loves to play with other dogs, but is also ready to settle down for a good nap at any time. Whether your pup needs a relaxing stay, structured care, or extra patience, I’d love to help! ✔ Medical experience (nurse background) ✔ Comfortable with medications & special needs ✔ Calm, reliable, detail-oriented care ✔ Great with puppies and senior dogs ✔ Frequent updates so you never have to worry I currently work 3 12 hour shifts a week so I have plenty of availability to take care of your pets. I make my own schedule as well, so I plenty of flexibility. I have a fenced in yard and three sweet boy pups to play with your babies! I also like to meet the pups ahead of time to ensure that everyone gets along well. However, we do have two extra bedrooms that can be a safe place if you’re a pup just needs a little time away from the boys.
“Victoria took great care of my cat! I was worried my cat would be very shy and lonely while I was gone but Victoria sent plenty of pictures showing her and my cat hanging out, which really relieved my concerns. Would definitely use her again in the future.”

“Ashton was excellent with the dogs!! She was communicative and the dogs looked so happy to be loved on the photos!! So thankful for her ability to stop by on the hoiiday!”

About: I've taken care of animals of all kinds, from dogs and cats to chickens, ducks, and goats, since I was 13. In my senior year of high school, I took a veterinary science class where I did check-ups and grooming on all sorts of animals. (Dogs, cats, bunnies, guinea pigs, etc.) I feed, walk, and medicate animals for coworkers, family, and friends just about everytime I'm home from school! I plan on working part-time, so I will have limited times during the day to walk your dogs, but I will have plenty of time to go over and feed, medicate, play, empty litter, etc., after or before my shifts! We've got a super big yard, so plenty of room to run around and play. My doggies at home use an electric fence, but I'm used to walking other dogs on a leash, no problem! Additionally, my pups get along well with other dogs, so no issues in regard to company and territory!
“Our boy Sonny enjoyed Michael’s visit. Michael didn’t just feed him and let him out for a break. He spent time giving him love and attention. We will definitely schedule Michael again soon.”

“Rhianna took great care of our very shy, skittish cat. He usually hides when new people enter the apartment. She was able to find him each day and even sent me pictures! I’m happy with the care she gave our cat, Toast!”

About: I have experience rescuing cats and dogs and administering medication. I’ve also done house sitting and pet sitting for several homes. I enjoy running and playing with dogs to keep them active and happy, and I can also help them stay calm when needed. I offer walks up to 1 hour and can safely handle up to 3 dogs at a time. I’m comfortable cleaning up after pets, changing diapers if needed, and giving medication. I work Mondays and Wednesday–Friday from 7 to 3, and Saturdays from 3 to 11pm. I’m free all day on Tuesdays and Sundays 😊 I adapt to each home and follow the owner’s preferences and routine for their pets. I make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for, whether that includes walks, playtime, feeding, medication, or keeping their space clean. I always adjust to each pet’s personality and needs.
“Ethel took wonderful care of my senior special needs little old lady, Kerry. Kerry was so comfortable with Ethel--she allowed head petting, which is something we don't get to do often! Would book Ethel again, for sure!”

I cannot say enough good things about her. She came in the middle of an ice storm to care for my babies while I was working at the hospital! Went above and beyond doesn’t even begin to cover it. She is reliable, compassionate, and truly treats your pets like her own. I had total peace of mind knowing my babies were in such good hands. Highly, highly recommend!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
