“Great experience for my two girls with Ciara! I got lots of pictures and great communication over the entire week they stayed with her. Would definitely recommend Ciara to anyone looking for a loving family environment for your dogs.”

“My wife and I had the birth of our first child scheduled, and last minute we decided to have someone board our smallest dog Icarus. Within 10 minutes of messaging Scott and Amanda they called me and told me to drop my little buddy off. They took such amazing care of him… Everyday they sent me text messages, pictures, videos; they walked Icarus, their kids played with him, their Lab Walter hung out with him. I even dropped Icarus with a bit of a stomach ache and they made sure he didn’t over eat and slowly fed him to make sure he was OK. One the day we were to pickup Icarus my wife and I had to stay at the hospital longer and last minute I asked if they could watch him for 2 more days and they said “no problem at all”. Scott and Amanda are absolutely amazing dog sitters, and they’re even better people.”

“Teona & Louelyn were awesome and I would highly recommend boarding your fur babies with them! When I reached out, they responded very quickly and were very professional. They asked lots of questions to get to know how to best care for my kitten and they sent regular updates about her wellbeing, which included pictures and videos. Definitely appreciated the peace of mind and would recommend their services to anyone!”

“We can’t say enough about Savannah. She was an absolute godsend for our family. After driving for almost 8 hours and arriving at our hotel at 9 PM on a Friday evening, we found out that their pet friendly policy only applied to dogs. That was a major issue for us since we had brought our dog and our cat with us, sending us into an absolute panic. We sent a message to Savannah and not only did she respond immediately, but she brought us out of our panic by telling us to head right over with our sweet girl. During her time watching our Kitterz, she sent us pictures and updates daily, which let us know we left her in good hands. Going above and beyond, she invited us to visit during our vacation since she knew we were missing our girl. We wish there were more than 5 stars to rate her because she was incredible!”

“I was hesitant to use an app to find someone that I could trust with my dog while we were away. Stephanie and Max were quick to respond to my questions and quickly put my mind at ease. They met with us prior to the stay to make sure it was a good fit and that everyone would be comfortable. While we were away Stephanie was easy to contact and she sent me updates of our dogs stay with them. They were easy to communicate with and friendly. I knew Winston was in good hands . They are AMAZING!”

“Lyra and Scott were great with Millie! I booked this stay kind of late as I made last minute travel plans, and they were very accommodating to my flight schedule! They sent updates daily and included photos. I could tell Millie was having fun with their family. I know Millie will be very happy to go back there!”

“Paul and Terri were absolutely amazing! They offered great communication, gave extra care and attention to our allergy pup, sent pictures throughout the day, and were flexible with drop-off/pick-up timing as we traveled out of state. They have more than enough outdoor space for pups to play safely. They were attentive to our pups needs, limiting outdoor time when too hot. I could tell by the pictures shared that our pup was happy and comfortable while in their care. Thank You Guys!!”

“Our Finn was really happy when we picked him up, always a good sign. Jennifer B. seemed to be very caring and on top of taking care of the couple of dogs she was boarding at the time. We will be back !”

“Ryan and Stephanie kept me updated daily on Muppet’s visit and how she was doing. She was getting a lot of attention and loved every minute of it. We were a little late picking her up, but Ryan and Stephanie were understanding. When I picked her up, she was very content and happy and did not seem to have any stress whatsoever.”

“Jay, was amazing. She kept me updated and my pup and made sure to show me all the fun that he was having so that I knew he was comfortable and well cared for during his stay.”

“Great accommodations that they are continuing to improve and expand. Social media videos show my boy’s happiness and excitement playing with other puppers. Already plan on using for daycare and future boarding needs.”

“Victoria took such good care of our pup when we were gone for a 10 day vacation. He was happy to play with the other dogs and loved being able to roam the house and lounge on the couch. Victoria will be our go-to when we go on vacation moving forward. You can rest assured that your pup will be in great hands if she's the sitter. Highly recommend!”

“They took great care of our older dog. We could not have asked for a better first experience using Rover. Plenty of updates and we were able to relax and enjoy family vacation time knowing he was being well loved and cared for.”

“Jared was incredibly helpful with a quick stay we had in Williamsburg. He took our pup in on short notice and made her feel right at home. He made everything so easy and we were super comfortable. We would absolutely find him again on a return trip to the 'Burg!”

“Crystal was a fabulous sitter for our dog Rocky!! She was organized, professional, very dog savvy and also very warm and loving toward Rocky. I could tell he had a great time with her, will definitely book with her again! She also sent us daily updates and pictures.”

About: I have taken care of lots of dogs over the years. I love on all of them, and give great doggie massages. I take the dogs on daily walks. I work 3 to 4 hours each day and am home most of the time. I am a master gardener and spend a lot of free time in the yard. I have a fairly large fenced in back yard. I take my own dogs for a morning walk most every day. I give lots of treats.
“We chose Omaira and Isaac to pet sit after a trialing a professional boarding facility where we quickly realized our dogs wouldn't get the love and individual care we want them to have. We absolutely made the right decision, our boys have come home happy, clean and having been totally spoiled! Omaira and Isaac were kind, professional and responsive and we will definitely take Peanut and Chester back to stay with them again.”

“This was Pitch's first stay with anyone he did not already know (he is almost 10!) and Tara was FANTASTIC! We are so thankful for how well she cared for him! We have already committed to her watching him again.”

About: Welcome to our home! We’re a fun, loving family with two elementary-aged kids and our friendly Bernedoodle, who loves having furry friends around. Our family has been used to having furry friends for a long time. I’m a teacher and my husband is a travel soccer club director, so our home is active, family-oriented, and full of love. We’re used to busy days, lots of playtime, walks, and plenty of attention! Our Bernedoodle is playful, social, and loves making new friends. We’d love to welcome your pup into our family while they’re with us and make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for. We enjoy getting outside for walks and playtime and are happy to keep your dog on their normal routine as much as possible. Whether your pup is energetic and playful or enjoys a more relaxed pace, we’ll give them the care and attention they need. We know how important it is to feel comfortable leaving your pet with someone you trust. Our goal is for every dog who stays with us to have a happy, safe, and fun stay!🐶❤️ A Typical Day in Our Home 🐾 Our home has a nice balance of structure, activity, and plenty of attention for our four-legged guests. I’m a full-time teacher, so I’m at work during the school day, but I’m home after school and have afternoons and evenings to spend with the dogs. My husband has a flexible schedule and typically doesn’t start work until around 10:00 AM and is home by about 3:00 PM. This means your pup won’t be alone for long stretches of time, and there is someone around during much of the day. Our mornings are busy with getting the kids ready for school, but we make time for potty breaks, breakfast, and some attention before everyone heads out. Once the kids are home from school, things become more active! We enjoy walks, outdoor play, and spending time together as a family. We live in the gated community of Fords Colony, so the walking paths for your pup are perfect and safe. Your pup will get plenty of attention, playtime, and opportunities to relax throughout the afternoon and evening. We’re happy to follow your dog’s normal feeding, walking, potty, and medication routines as closely as possible. Our goal is to make their stay feel comfortable, safe, and as much like home as possible!
“Allison is confident and understanding when handling our dog reactive pittie. He really enjoyed his stay with her and I had peace of mind knowing we could leave him with someone as knowledgable as her in dog behavior, that also understands his needs for attention and comfort. We're new to Virginia and so relieved to have found her!”

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
