“Melissa is a truly wonderful and capable caregiver for our feisty 13-month old puppy and she handles him well, keeping his training going while we are away.Completely responsible, shows up on time, asks great questions, and goes above and beyond by leaving a printed Doggie Report Card, which I loved. House was immaculate when we returned. I trust her completely with our 4-legged "toddler." We are happy repeat customers. I always try Melissa first when I know we are needing dog care.”

“Kyleigh is so great, and our cat adored her immediately! I can't say enough good things about her- communicative, flexible, reliable. I feel confident that our home, and most importantly our pet is in capable, trustworthy hands.”

“Carrianne was great and helped me feel more comfortable being away from my babies for a week! My cat loved her and immediately wanted to be friends. I loved the pictures she took and the descriptions of how the visits went. I’m very thankful to have had such a great sitter for my first Rover experience :)”

“Ilene was a great sitter for our two-year-old kitty! She was very communicative, flexible and laid-back. She was able to come for a meet-and-greet ahead of time and amended the drop-in time, per my request, partway through our trip. We really appreciated her detailed write-ups and quality photos. Thank you, Ilene!”

“Melissa dropped in to check on my 2 cats for four days. She was kind, dependable and responsible which gave me peace of mind, especially considering one of my cats is elderly and needs daily medication.”
“Ana was an incredible sitter, very thorough! She helped us out during a very stressful time and even came back to help to make sure that things were in order. I would fully trust Ana watching any of my pets again, and we can't wait to use her in the future. Thank you Ana for being so flexible, understanding, and amazing sitter for our dear cat Spoke!”

About: I'd love to hang out with your dog on a walk, while I work from home (or your home!), or play with toys during a drop in check in. I work from home so I can be flexible on potty breaks. I work from home, so happy to give your pup potty breaks, walks, and play time on a flexible schedule. I'm available for morning walks also! I have two friendly small dogs, but can keep them separate if you prefer. I will keep your pup in my office with me while I work, and that will be their dedicated space. They are welcome to lay on a big dog bed or my guest bed with me while I work. They also will have access to the sun room and can watch all the rabbits and squirrels in our back yard. If you are comfortable with them being around my dogs we can also let them have run of my house while I'm at home. Your dog can be kept in a separate room by themselves with a bed and water bowl if I need to step away for a minute or they are welcome to stay in my office and lounge on the bed. I can also crate small <20 lb dogs if you prefer. For larger dogs, a crate will need to be provided. For small or older dogs, we have a small fenced yard (about 200 sq ft, fence about 3.5 ft high).
“Although I was not able to meet Daniel in person, he was very communicative and responsive. Being new to the platform, he was very understanding and worked with me to make sure my experience was as smooth and easy as possible. I came home to a happy healthy pup so I knew he took very good care of her while I was gone!”

About: From family pets, growing up on a farm, pet sitting in college, to multiple years taking care of animal ambassadors as a naturalist, I've been working with and caring for critters of all sorts for nearly as long as I can remember! For critters in the pet category, I have been caring for indoor cats since 2018, from kittens to seniors and every stage in between, including administering medications. My family has had medium/large dogs (rottweilers, labs, and border collie and boxer mixes) my whole life but I have also pet sat for smaller breeds like Boston terriers and cavalier king Charles spaniels. My time as a naturalist gave me experience working with not only varied species, but varied personalities. From grumpy skunks to mischievous snakes and dramatic birds, I have extensive experience across the gambit. It also provided experience with very specific care instructions and detailed documentation. I like to provide pet parents with a thorough summary of my time with their pet so they don't have to worry while they're away. My schedule varies week to week from periods of no availability to periods of open availability, I will make sure to keep things updated so you know what to expect! In fall of 2025, I finished my 2,200+ mile thru hike of the Appalachian Trail. What does that mean for pet care? I LOVE to walk and do so whenever I get the chance! I would love to have your pet join me! I am very detail oriented and will follow your care instructions to a T! I also provide my pet parents a detailed summary of my visit for peace of mind, every time!

“Jan was fantastic! She was a pleasure to work with and so sweet with Poppy. We felt so comfortable having her spend time with Poppy. Jan sent great updates and pictures from her visit. Will definitely be asking her to help with Poppy in the future”

About: I have watched friends and neighbor's pets for years and decided to sign up with Rover. I love all animals. I have 1 dog and 1 cat, and they are family. I will walk, love and play with all pets staying with me and follow instructions given by their owners. I can watch puppies that are really like toddlers or older wiser members of your families. I am comfortable giving medications if needed. Most will sleep on my bed and yes, they are allowed on my furniture, but they are welcome to sleep or nap wherever they would like. I want you to go on vacation knowing they are happy and having a vacation of their own. I have a morning routine which includes a long walk, depending on temperature, playing in the yard with my dog and another walk usually late afternoon. Walks include walks around my neighborhood and also at parks. While your dog is in my care, I will not be going to any dog parks with them. I will have our dogs meet prior to accepting a job. They can play in my yard and once we are both comfortable with their meeting, we can schedule a time for drop off or pick up. While in my home they will be treated with love and respect. Walks and playtime throughout the day. They are allowed to sleep or hang out wherever they would like.
“Awesome sitter and very communicative! Was a great help on short notice and we we're never worried about our cat's medications/feeding schedules! I would recommend Travis again and again to whomever may need him!”

About: I’ve taken care of pets since I was 10. I have a golden retriever now and love all kinds of dogs. I grew up around dogs my whole life so I am very comfortable with them! I have 3 years of experience in dog walking as well as housesitting. I’m currently in college but my class schedule is light this semester and I am available the whole week. At home I have a golden retriever who I walk three times a day, morning, evening and night. At my house I have a fenced in backyard but I also like to take my dog for long walks as well. I am comfortable walking dogs long distances.
“Katie consistently goes above and beyond. Our cat was alone during a snowstorm and power outage, and Katie communicated with us right away that our automatic feeder wasn’t working. She worked with me to come up with a mitigation plan, and she offered to check on our cat the next day to make sure the kibble had dropped, even though we hadn’t booked her for another visit. She is an AMAZING sitter and very kind, generous human.”

“Whitney was amazing with our two cats! She left wonderful comments and pictures from each visit and our place was very clean when we came home (usually there is litter everywhere around the litter boxes) ? Will definitely have her take care of them again!”

The median cost per visit for cat sitting in Whitefish Bay is $20

Hanna did an amazing job caring for our two cats while we were away on vacation. She was incredibly reliable, communicated regularly, and sent plenty of photos that gave us peace of mind while we were gone. It was clear our cats were well cared for and comfortable in her hands. This was our second time booking with Hanna, and we will absolutely be booking with her again in the future. Highly recommend!

Isaac is THE best cat sitter. My cat Sweets is always excited when he comes and visits when I have to go away for work or vacation. He’s super efficient, reliable and takes such great care of her each time he drops in to check on her. Highly recommend booking with Isaac!

Whitney was awesome with the two cats. The two cats were very comfortable with her. Nick and Sam can be challenging and Whitney kept us informed with clear communication. She was very caring towards the cats. I will definitely ask her to care for Nick and Sam again!

I can't say enough good things about Quinesha. Everything about her service was top tier. Communication was excellent and even though my cat never showed herself, I know she was cared for! I will absolutely be contacting Quinesha again next time my cat needs drop ins!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Whitefish Bay. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
