“Travis spent a meaningful amount of time and effort on our kitties over two weeks; keeping them fed, entertained, and cared for. Compared to previous trips where we didn't know who would come that day and how good a job they would do, going through Rover and being able to trust that Travis was coming every day really relieved our anxiety and allowed us to enjoy the trip. The difference for Baku and Gojo was obvious as soon as we came home, like we had only gone out for groceries. There was a bit much hard food in the bowls, but we'll just update our instructions for future trips, as Travis has always been responsive and caring when communicating. The boys did just fine, which is another sign that Baku wasn't stressed out, as he usually can't be free fed. Pictures were good and showed clearly that Travis was spending time with the boys including lap time (Baku) and wand time (Gojo). We are very appreciative to have been able to rely on Travis and take such a long trip!”

“I can’t speak highly enough of Vicki! Every day we got a little update on how our cat was doing, and it was much appreciated. Vicki clearly got to know her, paid attention to her idiosyncrasies, and enjoyed playing with her and taking care of her. She not only cleaned our cat’s random messes, but apparently the remains of some creature that was eaten right outside the door… that would not have been a fun thing to come home to… As luck would have it, our street got flooded while we were gone. Vicki sent daily reports and pics about the water level in the yard and the basement condition. She was ready to move things as needed (thankfully it was not needed). Finally, she was worried we might be getting home a bit too late on the last day, so paid an extra visit to our furry one without being asked. About: I've loved cats for as long as I can remember. My first pet was a cat named Cindy, along with her sister, Soncy. A few years later we adopted a tabby named Oliver. I grew up with Cindy & Soncy for about 15 years, and once we adopted Oliver, we have had him for 10 years. I currently do not live with the cats anymore, now that I have adopted a dog. But I am very familiar with the everyday care that cats need, including feeding, litter boxes, playtime, affection, and giving them space when they want it. I know that every cat has a different personality and that some want constant attention while others are happiest doing their own thing. About: I have watched friends and neighbor's pets for years and decided to sign up with Rover. I love all animals. I have 1 dog and 1 cat, and they are family. I will walk, love and play with all pets staying with me and follow instructions given by their owners. I can watch puppies that are really like toddlers or older wiser members of your families. I am comfortable giving medications if needed. Most will sleep on my bed and yes, they are allowed on my furniture, but they are welcome to sleep or nap wherever they would like. I want you to go on vacation knowing they are happy and having a vacation of their own. I have a morning routine which includes a long walk, depending on temperature, playing in the yard with my dog and another walk usually late afternoon. Walks include walks around my neighborhood and also at parks. While your dog is in my care, I will not be going to any dog parks with them. I will have our dogs meet prior to accepting a job. They can play in my yard and once we are both comfortable with their meeting, we can schedule a time for drop off or pick up. While in my home they will be treated with love and respect. Walks and playtime throughout the day. They are allowed to sleep or hang out wherever they would like.

About: I helped raise my own two family dogs and ensured that they were always walked, bathed, fed, and happy. It's also a habit of mine to go take the extra step like wiping my dogs and make sure they are clean after they've been outside. I've also taken care of my neighbor's dogs alongside our own family dogs, so I have experience handling multiple pets at once. I work full-time, Monday through Friday, while working from home 2-3 days a week. I also go to workout classes in the evening. Normally, if working from home, I take the dogs out for a walk in the morning. On other days, I take them for a walk in the evening. I normally take pets out 3 times a day, once in the morning, afternoon, and night. I make sure the dogs have a dedicated spot for food and bed. I have both a park and a dog park, 5-10 minutes away from my apartment, which I can take the pets to for a walk or some dog play time. There are also multiple yard-like grass areas where the dogs are meant to do their business. If pets stay with me for longer than two weeks, I bathe them every other week.

My schedule for Rover pups: Monday-Friday: I leave home at 8AM, and return home for the remainder of day at 12:45PM. Weekends: I’m home all the time, unless I run out for a quick errand. Additionally, June through August, I am available all day, full-time. When boarding your dog at my home, I’ll care for his/her safety and make sure he/she feels loved. Outside, your dog will always be on leash and will be my sole focus. Inside, there will be no chewing/safety hazards. NOTE: For care not in my home, my drop-in care and dog-walking rates are $13 per 10 minute increments within the Whitefish Bay area. I am able to provide longer care/walks and/or travel outside of the WFB area at an increased rate.

I grew up helping my grandma, who was a Samoyed breeder, so I've been around dogs my entire life and learned early on how to properly care for them. I've had my Aussie since he was 8 weeks, which has made me very comfortable with high-energy breeds and understand how important exercise, attention, and mental stimulation are. Whether your dog needs a quick drop-in, a walk, or just some extra attention during the day, I'll make sure they're not just checked on, but truly cared for and engaged with. I know how hard it can be to leave your pet, even for a short time. I focus on making sure your dog feels safe & comfortable. I am currently offering evening availability on the weekdays starting at 6:30pm Thursday/Friday, and flexible scheduling on Saturday's/Sunday's for drop-ins & walks. I treat every dog like my own and can't wait to meet you and your pup! I am currently working a full-time job, 8am-5pm. I know this creates limited availability, but I am willing to fit in drop-ins and walks after 6:30pm during the weekdays, and will have flexible availability on the weekend. I take my dog on two 30 minutes walks everyday, on top of playing fetch often, & providing training on basics daily. I practice off-leash in areas where it is allowed. I feed morning and evening for my dog, provide lots of cuddles and affection, and make sure play time is priority. That can be through basic training, scent games, DIY puzzles, and running in the park! As for crate training, I did it for a year but have no moved to allowing my dog to snooze next to my bed every night. This set him up for success and created trust between him and I. I focus on trust with my dog 100% of the time, and understand his needs and wants daily. The bond between your pet is so important so I want to make sure I bring that same energy to your pet!

He texted when he was on his way, arrived promptly, and spent a couple of extra minutes greeting Rosie, on her level, letting her check him out and get comfortable with him - I was pleased. When they were out walking, a friend happened to see them and called me to tell me that she was impressed with how patient and gentle he was with her. He obviously made a positive impression on Rosie because she was very excited when he returned in the afternoon for her 2nd walk. I will definitely use Andrew for my future needs.”
“I’m so glad I found Jan on Rover! She is a great dog walker. When she came and met our puppy prior to her first walk I could tell she is a big dog lover. Her job is flexible so she is able to be flexible with coming over as well. Great at communicating about the walk/playtime. Our puppy had a stomach bug and she kindly cleaned up his accidents when she came over. I also overbooked her and unfortunately had to cancel a few walks. She was very nice about it. About: Hi there! We are recently new residents to Milwaukee and the Lower East Side and we would love to make some new friends in the neighborhood! We have gained a lot of experience caring for a variety of different pets in Chicago for over a year on Rover before our move. Personally, both of our families owned dogs & cats throughout each of our childhoods which has given us a natural experience with pets as well. I work remotely 5 days a week at home so your dog will have no shortage of attention and care! We are deeply considering getting our own dog soon, so we’re treating every boarding guest like our test run! Your pup will get all the love, structure, and attention we’re practicing for our future family member—plenty of walks, play, cuddles, and a calm apartment to call home while you’re away! Please ask us any questions you may have! Andrew works fully remote 5 days a week and the nature of my job is very flexible so I am able to step out if needed/when requested. Taylor is fully in office but may occasionally be available. Additionally, we’re particularly looking to use some of our free time we have on the weekends to care for some pets together! We want to earn your trust that your animals are safe with us, and respect your home & privacy in doing so.
