“Sherry made a nice impression on Buck at our meet-n-greet, so he was very happy to see her for his stay. Buck settled right in and looked quite at home. We really appreciated all the pictures and would be happy to have Sherry take care of Buck anytime.”

“Katie and her family have watched our dog a few times. Our dog loves it at Katie's. She runs up to the door all excited to stay. Katie is very responsive and has been flexible when needed. She is a great communicator and makes it so I don't have to worry about our dog while we are away.”

“Jan took exceedingly good care of Beau and updated us with pictures and comments during his stay. In fact, I suspect he was a little let down when he returned home… Highly recommend.”

“Angie was amazing! My dog had so much fun that I’m pretty sure he didn’t want to come home! She sent great updates and pictures and treated Cosmo like her own. I definitely will be using her again!!”

“Michelle was amazing at taking care of my boy and giving frequent updates/photos. She managed to get him out of his shell so quickly! I have already booked our next stay with her!”

“Riley had such a great experience, and I truly can’t say enough good things. Communication was amazing from start to finish, and she was so flexible when our flights changed, which took a huge weight off my shoulders. She even sent pictures without us asking which we absolutely loved and really appreciated. Her kids and mother were incredibly kind and Riley also got along so well with their dog, Annalise. Riley isn’t around other dogs very often, so I was a little nervous, but they did great together and it made me so happy to hear how well she adjusted. Honestly, the whole experience felt so comfortable… like I’ve known them for a long time. That says a lot when you’re trusting someone with your dog. I would absolutely use them again without hesitation. I think Riley may have even found herself a new best friend 🐾”

“My Best Friend Bosco had a wonderful place to spend Christmas away from home this year. It’s very difficult to find loving people to watch over your pet and totally trust you made the right choice. Maria & Naylbe were guardian angels! I would recommend them for your next trip vacation away. They were awesome, sent us pictures and updates daily. They gave Bosco TLC !!!!!”

“We couldn’t be more pleased. Our dogs received so much attention and love that we could truly relax on our vacation. Angela also communicated with us daily so we could see for ourselves the fun our dogs were having. We are so happy we found someone to care for our dogs when we are gone and keep them safe and happy.”

“I booked with Nicole to watch my dog Penny for two nights while I was away for the weekend. Everything went great! Good communication throughout and no issues at all with Penny. I would definitely book with her again!”

“Evita was great with Togepi, she was on her own little vacation while I was away. I could tell Togepi was well taken care of and Evita would make sure to communicate and send me updates when I started to miss my pup. 10/10, would book again!”

“Super happy with Ellie’s time spent with Stacey and her family! Appreciated the communication and pics throughout our time away, we could sense the love they gave our girl. Will book again!! 🙏🏽”

“Couldn't be happier with Daniel and Holly! These lovely people obviously care for dogs and took wonderful care of my Susie. I will definitely be using them to dog sit on future trips and highly recommend them to anyone looking for excellent pet sitters.”

“Becky was amazing with my dog, I left him for around 5 days and she updated me everyday regarding his stay. Her backyard was so amazing, my dog was out having fun with the other dogs under her care. This was my first time dog boarding and she made this process so smooth and stress free. Would definitely recommend her!”

“Daniel was exceptional in taking care of my kitty, Nova! I had so much peace of mind on my trip knowing that she was in good hands, he kept me consistently updated with messages and pictures. I will absolutely be using him again! Nova had such a great time! Daniel is a star sitter :)”

About: I’m a kind and goofy gal that loves dogs with my whole being. I own a beagle named Luna that I love spending time with. Her mom needs to hustle to get more funds for our journeys and all the Trader Joe’s treats. I am constantly the friend that takes care of my friend’s dog and enjoy every moment. I hope you give me the opportunity to spend time with your pet! I’d be happy to expand on my experience and passion. My entire schedule revolves around my dog. I’m thinking about how to move things around for her and always checking if I can bring her with. I enjoy our three walks a day on our remote work from home days. I’m open to taking care of pets at my home or their own as long as you’re okay with mine being with us. I’d be happy to introduce them beforehand. I’m a horrible liar and believe in karma, so I treat everyone and their homes like I would want others to treat mine. Hopefully this isn’t too cheesy lol
“I was incredibly nervous about leaving our super senior 17-year-old dog with a pet sitter, but Jessica put me at ease from the very beginning. She has experience with senior dogs, was flexible with timing, and communicated clearly and promptly. In short, Jessica made what could have been a very stressful situation into something I could feel really good about.”

“Dawn and her family provided a comforting setting for our dog Astro. He was the only client they had for the stay which to us is just what he likes. He’s not much a social one, but tolerates well with other dogs if he has to! They paid Astro lots of attention when he needed it. Kept us up to date on anything that was important to tell us and sent pictures to show us he’s doing well! He’s pretty easy to take care of and not a trouble maker for anybody and he knew he was in good hands! Also, we liked that Dawn has a fenced in backyard! Big plus! Thanks again! Mike and Liz”

Mika is awesome. She is trustworthy and skilled in relating to my dog who was immediately comfortable at our meet and greet. Mika sent pictures during my trip and reassured me that everything was cool. I am so glad we connected and I will be reaching out to her again without a doubt.

Angie was great to work with. Despite my dog Jozzie’s quirks and mannerisms she was bow to make her feel at home and comfy. I also appreciated the photos she took of Jozzie lounging around in their spacious back yard on the river ! Thanks Angie. I hope you can take care of Jozzie in the future!

Katie and her family are amazing in every way of the word. From the moment we met, it was clear that they genuinely care about animals and treat every pet as if it were their own. They provided regular updates, photos, and messages, which gave me complete peace of mind knowing my dog was happy, safe, and well cared for. They maintained our dog's routine, made sure plenty of exercise and playtime were included each day, and, most importantly, gave lots of pets and love. Katie and her family are professional, reliable, trustworthy, and compassionate. I would absolutely trust them with my dog again and wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for a truly outstanding pet sitter.🐾❤️

Working with Julia and Colin was our first Rover experience and we could not be happier with how it went! Julia is extremely communicative and made the process easy. Our dog took to them very quickly and we could tell she was made comfortable in their home. We look forward to booking with them again!

Angela was extremely generous and did a very nice informal meet up so that my (small) dog could meet her sweet (large) dog just to make sure the two would get along. We met at a nearby park and the meet up was fun and successful. I then left my dog with Angela and her husband for one night, again to do a short trial stay before attempting a longer one. Angela and her husband could not have been more gracious and kind. My dog is quirky and anxious but he got along very well with the entire household. I would recommend Angela to anyone looking for a kind and patient caregiver. The night at Angela's went very well but, sadly, my dog has a strange habit of being skittish about some types of flooring...wood floors or floors that look like wood being one of his goofy fears. Angela's beautiful home has lovely wood floors that my dog just refused to walk on and so he will likely need to keep looking for a boarding home that has carpeting. Sigh. While I may not be able to use Angela in the future, she is terrific and I envy people who have dogs that will walk on all kinds of flooring!

Megan has been incredible! She treats our dog cooper like her own. They have gone to dog parks, boat rides, beer gardens, runs, and more! Her golden doodle, Sunny, is best friends with Cooper and they play so well with each other! She always sends pictures and updates which we love. We have also used Megan for walks and she is punctual and always takes pictures!

Lisa was amazing with our dog Winston. She made it easy for us to leave and feel at ease on our vacation. She is extremely kind and it was obvious to us she worked very hard to make sure Winston was happy and comfortable in her home. Communication was great and we appreciated the updates and the photos. We already have another stay with Lisa on the books.

Hattie was great with our dog, Brody for an overnight stay! She really took the time during the meet and greet to ask a ton of questions and get to know Brody before taking him! She also sent us tons of pictures and updates throughout his day! Would absolutely recommend!

Quinesha did home sitting and watched my cat Dorothea while we were gone for a last minute trip. She was so kind and gentle with our sweet girl. Dorothea warmed up to her in no time when she pulled out a treat tube! Thank you Quinesha for being an excellent dog, cat, and homesitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
