“Our mini-dachshund had a great time at Gilian's house over the weekend. Arranging drop off and pickup times was easy and Gilian was very responsive. She is clearly knowledgeable about dog behavior. Our pup was exhausted from playing so hard and slept the rest of the day when we got him home.”

“Ashlee did wonderful taking care of my 11yo Shih tzu and 2yo Goldendoodle. She took them on walks, and sent me updates while I was on my trip!! She was flexible with the time changes in my travel and made it easy for me to pick them up!! I know my pups were in great care with Ashlee!! Thanks again ☺️”

“Where to start??? Jessica is awesome!!! She made my first time using Rover a very comfortable experience. I have a Min Pin named Cairo that happens to be energetic and super clingy; naturally I was worried about him being a hyper menace but I was relieved to hear from Jessica a day in that he was settled in and already having fun. The updates I were provided were timely and appreciated - always good to know your baby is safe, happy, and well taken care of. I provided Jessica with everything she might’ve needed to ensure a good stay for Cairo and she followed everything to the T! I can’t continue raving about how great Jessica is with the pups. I am extremely pleased. Cairo will be back to hang out with his new friend!!”

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and truly consider them family. Growing up, my family had a Cocker Spaniel, then a Weimaraner, and eventually we fell in love with Labrador Retrievers — we’ve had three Labs in a row. My most recent chocolate Lab, Thor, passed away about 2 years ago, and until we’re ready to bring another dog home, I’ve decided to pour that love and care into other people’s dogs. My dogs have always been right by my side, so your dog will never feel like a guest. If your dog enjoys car rides, they’re welcome to come along with me. At home, they’re free to relax on the couch, go for walks, play at the dog park, or just enjoy companionship and attention throughout the day. I trained our labrador Thor to retrieve so if you have a hunting dog and they have a favorite retriever toy I’d be happy to keep their skills fresh while you’re away. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your dog, and I’ll care for yours as if they were my own — with plenty of love. I work full-time Monday to Thursday.I am an early riser due to work and having young kids. I work 10 minutes from home so stopping home for potty breaks and exercise during the work week is easy to do. Friday,Saturday,Sunday we are home bodies with two young kids and will treat your dog like family all day. I can crate your dog in our XL crate with a comfy bed if needed. Puppies can be put into a puppy play pen as needed. We have a nice yard to play and a dog friendly neighborhood for walks weather permitting. I will only watch one dog at a time for dog safety and to give your dog my full attention. I will watch multiple dogs from the same household. Due to young kids (3&5 year olds) living in our home I do request dogs that do well with children. If you have a puppy I understand the potential teething and nipping stage is apart of a dogs growth and understand the process as I’ve had 4 puppies in my life. My children will always be supervised around your dog.

“Riley had such a great experience, and I truly can’t say enough good things. Communication was amazing from start to finish, and she was so flexible when our flights changed, which took a huge weight off my shoulders. She even sent pictures without us asking which we absolutely loved and really appreciated. Her kids and mother were incredibly kind and Riley also got along so well with their dog, Annalise. Riley isn’t around other dogs very often, so I was a little nervous, but they did great together and it made me so happy to hear how well she adjusted. Honestly, the whole experience felt so comfortable… like I’ve known them for a long time. That says a lot when you’re trusting someone with your dog. I would absolutely use them again without hesitation. I think Riley may have even found herself a new best friend 🐾”

“Rebecca and her family took excellent care of our dog Evie while we were out of town. She was wonderful at communicating—sending us regular updates and adorable pictures that really helped us relax and enjoy our trip. We could tell Evie was happy, loved, and getting plenty of playtime and attention. Communication was spot-on from booking through drop-off, and it’s clear she genuinely cares about the pets she watches. We’re already planning to book with Rebecca again next time we travel—she’s our new go-to sitter! Highly recommend Rebecca and her family to anyone needing a reliable, caring pet sitter. Thank you so much!”

“Jacquelin and her husband have been a wonderful find and we could not be more grateful for her and her husband’s incredible care for our guy, Teddy. We were gone for 10 days for our spring break and were a little nervous being gone that long. Teddy comes from a one dog household and normally stays at home with a family member or friend; however this trip was too long for an arrangement like that and could not have been more pleased with the care, concern, consistent communication and love given to our sweet guy! We would not hesitate to use them again. Thanks so much 💛”

“Halligan was so awesome and took care of our puppy this week. I got multiple updates, photos AND videos. It was so reassuring to know that Luna was with someone very caring and dependable. It made going on a work trip that much easier. Thank you, Halligan, so much! <3”

“As always, Rupert came home happy after a fun weekend with Laura. I love knowing that he’s in good hands & I can enjoy what ever I’m doing (in this case, it was my oldest son’s wedding weekend!). Laura is great about sharing pictures & short recaps of their days together! Thank you, Laura!”

“Cortney was really accommodating and great with Bo. Also prompt in communicating and shared pictures and a video of Bo during his stay. Her dog was a great playmate for Bo and he had a blast. I would recommend Coutney!”

“When someone treats your loved ones, Scout, like they would their own, you know you made a wise choice. Percy was so kind and gentle with Scout. Spending time out in the yard and deck made her so happy. She misses having a yard currently. Percy kept me updated and sent pics. I appreciate everything they did for her. Thanks guys 🥰”

“First time using Daniel and longest vacation away from my dog (19 days). He gave excellent daily communication and updates as needed. When there was an issue or concern. He was very transparent and honest. Which made me feel more trusting of his care for my dog. Plenty of attention and exercise for my dog. It was a great dog vacation for him. Daniel is another great Rover app sitter. Highly trusted and recommend.”

“Gabriel did such a nice job keeping my 12 week old puppy overnight. His dog Mel and my puppy got along great. I will definitely book Gabriel again. Thank you Gabriel and Mel!”

“Sarah and her family provided constant updates of my dog throughout the week. Her daughters seemed really engaged and loving on my dog, making me feel confident she was receiving all the love and affection she gets at home. When I picked her up, my dog seemed so relaxed, almost as if she hadn’t been gone all that time, helping me feel confident she was safe and loved on. Usually after boarding in a facility, my dog is highly anxious, extra agitated and disheveled. None of that here with Sarah. Her and her family were truly the best sitters. I never worried once while away.”

“My baby was in good hands. I never left her with anyone before until now . Amber was super happy to return home but also very sleepy because she had a very active sleepover! I would highly recommend Cindy ?”

“MJ takes good care of Dimitri. He messages us about Dimitri’s daily activities and his concerns during Dimitri’s stay! He makes sure Dimitri is healthy, eat and drink well. Will rebook again!”

“Tracy is great! Good communication and pics throughout the stay. Juniper seemed to enjoy his time with his new dog friends. Super convenient, reasonable price and easy to book. I appreciate having my dog as a part of a family vs. a pet daycare or corporate pet boarding. My dog appreciates the kind of attention that he gets with Tracy. Definitely recommend!”

“Elizabeth and her family took great care of my dog, Reba. She was communicative and flexible with me and provided sweet picture updates for me. I have already re-booked with Elizabeth to watch Reba, again!”

“Buddy receives fantastic care when he is at Holly and Daniel's home. This is our 8th or 10th reservation and each time we return we know Buddy has been well taken care of.”

We’re so thankful for the great care Buck receives! He always comes home happy and tired, which tells us he gets plenty of playtime and attention. It gives us peace of mind knowing he’s in such good hands. Thank you, Monique, for taking such wonderful care of him!

Cindy is the absolute BEST!! She always takes the girls for long walks, lets them snuggle with her and her family, and sends tons of pictures and updates while we’re away. She eases any stress of being away from my dogs because she keeps me so well informed! Thank you, Cindy!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
