“Sarah, Dan and their girls were amazing! Badger loves children and had a ball. They provided pictures during the stay which helped calm our nerves. We noticed he was exhausted when he got home which is a good sign. We would definitely use them again.”

“Cindy was fantastic. She sent multiple photos of our dog Luca having the time of his life and made it clear that he was being treated like royalty. We would absolutely book her again.”

“My pup had a great stay with Christine. She loved playing with the resident dog and enjoyed the fenced in back yard. Christine communicated every day with photos. Would recommend!”

“Our dog Carter stayed with Sarah for 2 weeks, she was great about sending us updates and pictures. Before that, he did some daycares at her place and walks around our neighborhood. She truly loves animals and have experience dealing with energetic dogs. Carter is always happy to see her and was a happy boy when we went to pick him up. Thank you, Sarah! Carter will definetely be coming back when we need boarding or daycare.”

“Evita was so amazing and the dogs and I loved her! I couldn’t have imagined a better person to love and take care of my dogs for over a week! She shared loving pictures and videos of their time together multiple times a day! They came home so content and happy 😃 Thank you Evita so very much ❤️”

“Josh and Cheryl were absolutely incredible with our dog, Tuck. He’s a high-energy, challenging pup who needs a lot of stimulation, and they went above and beyond to make sure he was well cared for, engaged, and happy. They were attentive, active, and cared for him like their own. When his collar broke, they even bought him a new one without hesitation—such a thoughtful gesture that speaks to how much they truly care. We also loved receiving regular updates and photos, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. We couldn’t recommend them more highly—if we could give more than 5 stars, we would!”

“Riley had such a great experience, and I truly can’t say enough good things. Communication was amazing from start to finish, and she was so flexible when our flights changed, which took a huge weight off my shoulders. She even sent pictures without us asking which we absolutely loved and really appreciated. Her kids and mother were incredibly kind and Riley also got along so well with their dog, Annalise. Riley isn’t around other dogs very often, so I was a little nervous, but they did great together and it made me so happy to hear how well she adjusted. Honestly, the whole experience felt so comfortable… like I’ve known them for a long time. That says a lot when you’re trusting someone with your dog. I would absolutely use them again without hesitation. I think Riley may have even found herself a new best friend 🐾”

“Kim took great care of our dog and provided lots of updates! She sent us photos and videos which we appreciated very much. Kim is always so responsive , communicative, and kind.”

“Teresa is wonderful! She was very responsive and a great communicator, both before our puppy’s stay and during. She was very patient with our young puppy, and I felt confident she was in great hands. We will definitely use her again in the future and I would highly recommend!”

“Michelle had a great process for dropping off and picking up my dog. She was extremely responsive and sent lots of updates of all the fun they were having through out the stay which put me at ease. She did an amazing job taking care of my pup and you can just tell the love she has for the animals. I will not hesitate to use her again in the future.”

“Levi is a frequent visitor at Dan’s and loves going there. It’s Levi’s home away from home and I always know he’ll have fun, and will be well cared for.”

“We met Jennifer on a meet and greet and loved her. She ask a lot of questions about my dog and his routine. She responded quickly to text messages and always sent us updates and pictures of how Cooper was doing. I felt very confident in her caring for my dog. I would highly recommend her. We have a senior dog that had to take medication and she was fine with it. We will continue to ask her to care for cooper.”

“Our dog Nelly had a great stay with Shay! Nelly is often cautious in new situations but settled in really well. Shay’s dog Gatsby is super sweet and friendly too. We really appreciated Shay handling all of Nelly’s medications and sending lots of videos and pictures so we could see how happy and comfortable Nelly was while we were away. We will definitely book again the next time we need to go out of town!”

“Katrina is wonderful. She was a great sitter for our dog for an extended vacation and we really appreciated her care. We didn’t worry about Abbey at all. Abbey was obviously happy at Katrina’s house and loves to hang out with her dogs! Thanks so much Katrina!”

“Can't express how grateful I am to Mary for taking such great care of my pitty for two week! She sent pictures everyday and kept me updated the whole time. Chimi looked so happy to be there with all the toys, big backyard, and she got along so well with Mary's dog. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Cedarburg
Kerry and Bruce were wonderful caregivers to little Dahlia. While Dahlia loves spending time w/ humans, she can be a little cautious around bigger dogs and despite watching another dog at the same time, they ensured that both dogs felt comfortable. It's very reassuing when you know a sitter can be trusted to understand the personalities of the dogs and as a result, allow them to be their best selves. This is an easy recommendation and one of the best experiences we've found through Rover...

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
