Dogs feel at home here!
I love creating an environment where your dog feels comfortable and loved. I have been a dog lover since I was a little girl and have owned and loved dogs most of my adult life. I live in my own home which has a fenced yard and is in a great dog-walking neighborhood. Over the years I have happily cared for over 100 dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments and I can honestly say I have loved them all. My ultimate goal as your sitter is to make your dog as comfortable as possible, and I will do my best to replicate your home routine. If you allow your dog on the furniture, that's okay with me. If not, I'll follow your preferences. Most dogs have a quirk or two and I really appreciate learning about them from you when we meet. Your dog can be inside or out (and supervised of course), depending on what makes them happy and the weather. I'll make sure there is a walk or two every day. I understand how hard it is to leave your dog in the care of someone else, and I hope it will help to know your dog is with someone who really loves having them around! I am mostly retired so I will have plenty of time to give your dog the attention they need. After several years dividing my time between Wisconsin and Washington state, I am back in Wisconsin full time and really looking forward to hosting dogs in my home again. Please note: My strong preference is to have dog(s) from only one family at a time. That makes it easier to provide the level of attention and care that I want to give. However, at times when people really need a place for their dog, and when I have met the dogs and verified that they have the temperament to mix well with other dogs, I may take dogs from multiple families. I will always check with both families before I accept multiple bookings and get their okay, and I will always separate the dogs when I am not home to supervise them. When I've done this in the past it has worked out very well (although my house gets dirty a lot faster!

Kerry and Bruce took incredible care of our dogs while we were away. They were so caring and loving toward them, and we always knew they were in great hands. The regular updates gave us total peace of mind, and it honestly felt like our dogs were on their own little vacation. We’re pretty sure we found lifelong doggie friends and people friends too. Schedule
Currently I do not have any pets of my own. My sweet rescue dog Shadow made her trip over the rainbow bridge a few years ago. I will love having your dog stay with me and will be able to give plenty of attention.

Safety, trust & environment
My back yard space is completely safe and private. I do prefer that the dogs I care for be crate trained, and it’s awesome if you can bring your own crate. I don’t use the crate a lot, but some dogs do better with that little haven. I always encourage my clients to send along an old t-shirt or pillowcase that still has their scent, to make the crate even homier.

My husband and I love to walk, so your dog will enjoy plenty of walks. We’re both retired, so there is always somebody around for a cuddle on the couch
