“Perseus and his partner took amazing care of our dog! It was our first time working with them and we were so happy leaving our dog with them. They both came to greet us and ensure our dog was in good hands. Our dog is a mid size dog that has some social anxiety around new people and environments and he LOVED both of them. They took him for numerous walks, played with him and fed him their frozen dog treats. Our pup did not want to leave when we came to pick him up haha! Such a good feeling knowing your dog is being loved on and cared so well for.”

“Scott was a wonderful sitter to our dog, Phoebe. Excellent communication, professional, and friendly. He sent us a few pics while we were away to let us know how she was doing, which I especially appreciated. Definitely recommend Scott, and his cute dog Lucy, to anyone looking for a sitter and a playmate.”

“It was just an overnight visit but the puppies are still exhausted! They’re must’ve had a great time 🥰. Cheryl kept in touch with verifying meds and letting me know they we’re doing great🥰🥰🥰thank you again!”

“Our Ella was so well cared for and spoiled during her visit! We’ll definitely be bringing her again next time we are headed out of town. Thanks for taking such great care of her!!”

“Madison and Joseph are wonderful sitters! They are kind and had great communication. They took such great care of my husky and she had a nice time with them and their husky! I'm pretty sure she misses them! Thanks again Madison and Joseph!”

“Sydney loved her stay with Jennifer and Alex! Their family took great care of her, took her on walks, played in the snow, and gave her lots of snuggles. All safety precautions were taken seriously and we felt very comfortable having Sydney be taken care of by them. Would highly recommend!!!”

“Nikki was a great pet sitter for my dog. It was nice that we could meet prior to my dog’s stay so it wouldn’t be such an unknown. Nikki also sent many photos and kept me updated throughout the stay. Nikki is a super find!”

“Our pup was perfectly exhausted in the best way! Loved hanging with Candace and her pups. She even went above and beyond and gave him the nail clipping we hadn’t had a chance to get scheduled due to a busy schedule. Thank you!!! ❤️”

“Kim has been so flexible and available for us. We've had to use her at the last minute a few times, plus we have 2 dogs, and she has accommodated the requests graciously. I love that she sends updates and pictures or videos when they are in her care. They get the love and attention and exercise they need when with Kim.”

“Sarah and her family took great care of Goose while we were gone for a quick overnight! Goose got lots of walks around the neighborhood and played well with their kids, both in the yard and outside. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again in the future!”

“Janice was great with our Frenchie Otis. He can be timid when staying at new locations and Janice made sure he was comfortable and provided us with plenty of videos, pictures, and updates. I would recommend Janice for your pup!”

“MJ takes good care of Dimitri. He messages us about Dimitri’s daily activities and his concerns during Dimitri’s stay! He makes sure Dimitri is healthy, eat and drink well. Will rebook again!”

“Jessica took great care of my senior dog even when he was naughty in her house. She gave me regular updates on how he was doing and she was open to suggestions for correcting his behavior. I would highly recommend Jessica.”

“Working with Julia and Colin was our first Rover experience and we could not be happier with how it went! Julia is extremely communicative and made the process easy. Our dog took to them very quickly and we could tell she was made comfortable in their home. We look forward to booking with them again!”

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and truly consider them family. Growing up, my family had a Cocker Spaniel, then a Weimaraner, and eventually we fell in love with Labrador Retrievers — we’ve had three Labs in a row. My most recent chocolate Lab, Thor, passed away about 2 years ago, and until we’re ready to bring another dog home, I’ve decided to pour that love and care into other people’s dogs. My dogs have always been right by my side, so your dog will never feel like a guest. If your dog enjoys car rides, they’re welcome to come along with me. At home, they’re free to relax on the couch, go for walks, play at the dog park, or just enjoy companionship and attention throughout the day. I trained our labrador Thor to retrieve so if you have a hunting dog and they have a favorite retriever toy I’d be happy to keep their skills fresh while you’re away. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your dog, and I’ll care for yours as if they were my own — with plenty of love. I work full-time Monday to Thursday.I am an early riser due to work and having young kids. I work 10 minutes from home so stopping home for potty breaks and exercise during the work week is easy to do. Friday,Saturday,Sunday we are home bodies with two young kids and will treat your dog like family all day. I can crate your dog in our XL crate with a comfy bed if needed. Puppies can be put into a puppy play pen as needed. We have a nice yard to play and a dog friendly neighborhood for walks weather permitting. I will only watch one dog at a time for dog safety and to give your dog my full attention. I will watch multiple dogs from the same household. Due to young kids (3&5 year olds) living in our home I do request dogs that do well with children. If you have a puppy I understand the potential teething and nipping stage is apart of a dogs growth and understand the process as I’ve had 4 puppies in my life. My children will always be supervised around your dog.
“Elizabeth is so friendly I immediately knew Spike was in good hands. Even better, her two boys are full of joy and were ready to pet and snuggle with my pup. When I came to pick Spike up, he looked ready to stay with his new friends!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and other pets for over 20 years, and they’ve always been a huge part of my life. I’m patient, dependable, and treat every pet like they’re my own. Whether your furry friend loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or just needs a calm and caring companion, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I’m experienced with puppies, adult dogs, and senior pets, and I’m happy to follow any special routines, feeding schedules, or medication instructions. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind. I can’t wait to meet you and your best friend! ❤️ I’m currently available with a flexible schedule, which allows me to give your pet the time, attention, and care they deserve. Whether it’s walks, drop-in visits, overnight stays, or playtime, I’ll make sure your pet sticks to their normal routine and feels comfortable while you’re away. I’ll also send regular photo and video updates so you always know how they’re doing. Every pet is different, so I like to match their energy and personality! We can go on walks, explore local trails, play fetch or tug-of-war, enjoy puzzle toys, or just cuddle and relax if that’s more their style. I’ll make sure they get plenty of exercise, affection, bathroom breaks, fresh water, meals on schedule, and lots of one-on-one attention. My goal is for your pet to have fun, s Important to Know About Your Pets Ahead of Time Before caring for your pet, I’d love to know their daily routine, feeding schedule, potty habits, energy level, favorite activities, and any commands they know. Please let me know about any allergies, medications, medical conditions, fears, or behaviors I should be aware of, as well as how they get along with other people or animals. The more I know, the better I can provide safe, personalized care for your furry family member. ❤️ Your pet’s safety and happiness are my top priorities. I carefully follow all feeding schedules, medication instructions, exercise routines, and any special care your pet needs. I always make sure pets are secure during walks, keep a clean and safe environment, and give them plenty of love, patience, and attention. I treat every pet as if they were my own family.

This is my first time ever doing something like this and I wasn’t sure how my dog Mila would react. Doreen contacted me back so quickly even though my trip was last minute. Mila loved Doreen and took great care of her, while also giving me updates and pictures. I will definitely be using Doreen every time.

We had an excellent experience with our dog sitter, Gwyn, this past weekend! She took such great care of our French Bulldog and Frenchton, and it gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She was reliable, communicative, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. We received updates and photos, which meant a lot and reassured us that our pups were happy and well cared for. Our dogs can be a bit high-maintenance at times, but she handled everything with patience and care. We came home to two very happy, relaxed dogs—which says everything. We would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable and caring pet sitter!

It was great boarding our baby Zeus at Olivia and Bryan's. It was so reassuring when they agreed for the meet and greet to make sure Zeus was friendly with their kids just like I was trying to ensure the family and neighborhood was safe to board Zeus. The pictures and videos that they updated showed a happy Zeus which made our travel less stressful. Hope they enjoyed Zeus's company as well and looking forward to board with them in future too.
This was our first experience with Rover. Dave and Giovanna went above and beyond making sure both Asher and I was comfortable with the entire process and made sure Asher was more than comfortable and safe while staying with them! I felt safe leaving my senior dog in their care, knowing he was loved on, and having fun while in their care. I received lots of pictures and updates of daily activities! I would definitely recommend Dave and Giovanna, as well as rebook with them! :)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
