“Kole was great with my cats, Fern and Sage. She provided thorough Rover cards and lots of photos (which is a plus for me, an anxious pet parent who gets separation anxiety from the pets). I would definitely recommend you talk to Kole about watching your cats. Thanks!”

“Nicole was great! Very thorough on her notes following a visit. Great pictures of my pooch. Always arrived on time. And really treated my pooch with lots of love! Thank you, Nicole”

“Miranda was very flexible with her schedule to accommodate our senior kitty’s needs. She posted detailed information about her visits and sent many photos. We felt very confidant that our cat was being well cared for. We would highly recommend Miranda for any pet sitting needs you may have and will definitely want to work with her again in the future!”

About: Pets are family, and we love providing a safe, fun, and loving home for them to stay! Our dog passed away on Christmas 2024. While we’re not ready for a new pup of our own yet, we love opening our home to others. We have two kind, animal-loving kids (ages 3 and 9) who are gentle, playful, and always excited to help care for our furry guests. To make sure every pet feels at home, we usually host just one dog at a time (unless they’re from the same family). Your pet will get plenty of attention, playtime, and affection while you’re away — along with lots of love from the whole family. We can’t wait to meet you and your furry friend! 🐾 I work full time as a social worker during the school year but off during the summer. I am able to provide care on weeknights and weekends and more intensive care in the summer! Our dog recently passed away and we are used to providing regular dog care. We have a large, un-fenced yard and great areas for walking!
“Karlee is a great dog sitter. She pays attention to details without much instruction. My 90lb lab loves Miss Karlee and I plan on booking her the next time I need someone to pop in for a dog visit. I would highly recommend you book her for your next dog needs. Sincerely. She is wonderful. If I could give her a million stars, I would.”

“Jen G is AMAZING, and she really helped us in a pinch! We had a boarding appt for our dog Jack, and he came down with kennel cough so he couldn't board. The whole family was in an out of state wedding and we needed to find a solution fast! Not only did Jen answer the call on very short notice, she provided phenomenal care for our beloved pup, administered his meds, and kept us up to date the whole time. Jen G. Jen provided us so much comfort when it was needed - and we knew our Jack was in great hands. Thank you Jen! We'll book again!”

“This is our second time with Madeline and we couldn’t be happier. She’s so good with Niya. I’m still flabbergasted that she gets her to go outside and actually use the bathroom. It’s such a relief to know we have someone who is reliable and has so much love for our fur baby.”

“Heather did a wonderful job dropping in to help with my two cats while I was on vacation. She came over for a meet and greet beforehand to understand their needs and was even willing to put some jelly in my Oriole feeder during the week. She is reliable and trustworthy and I will definitely have her come over again!”

“Amanda was courteous, prompt and professional. She provided consistent updates and communication for each visit. She demonstrated tremendous patience with our very shy cat. I would highly recommend her and would not hesitate to book her again.”

“Paul is very good with my elderly cat. I loved the pictures and the updates! I was able to relax while away knowing that Maynard was in good hands with Paul! I've already got Paul engaged for my next trip!”

“Mackenzie was great! She did a stop in visit to feed my three cats and went above and beyond. Not only did she send plenty of photos, she also took a quick look at the litter boxes. Would go with again!”

“Aidan always takes the best care of our pups while we are away!! Very attentive, excellent communication, so helpful. Would absolutely recommend and plan to use again when needed.”

“Megan was amazing with my cat, Suge. She gave him fresh food & water, was kind enough to empty his litter box on each of her visits and spent some quality time with Suge making sure he knew he was loved. If I leave for another vacation and need someone to check in on Suge…she will be my first call.”

About: I've owned a dog for ten years at home. I also have taken care of various neighbors' and friends' dogs as they relied on me to walk, feed, and play with the dog. I have boarded a dog for a month last summer. I now care for my own dog in my apartment. I currently have an easy schedule with one class a day where I would not be in the apartment. However, due to having three other roommates there is typically always somebody in my apartment. I have a very friendly dog who would love to play with others but she can also relax in her crate as needed. We have a fenced-in courtyard that dogs can run around in too!
About: I have two rescue dogs (Tasha & Diesel)!. I've been around dogs my whole life. I have dealt with all ages of dogs from puppy stages to senior dog care. I do work a full time job but I work from home 4 days a week on a routine basis (monday, wednesday - friday). Working from home gives me flexibility to take care of your pets whether it's a quick walk, playtime, or potty breaks! In my client's home to best fit the needs of your pet, all I ask is for important details on your pets triggers or anything that i need to know (and your wifi password if I work from home!) :)
“Ashley was able to help us out on very short notice. We were at a wedding out of town and she came to our house to give our dog his afternoon medication. She actually sent a video of her giving the medication at the time we had scheduled with her. It’s amazing to find someone who really cared for our dog. We will definitely use Ashley again!”

Jessica understands cats—especially those that get anxious and stressed when their family is away! I appreciate her patience, kindness and daily updates and pictures. She is reliable, trustworthy and a good communicator. I knew our cat was in good hands with Jessica and would definitely have her watch him again!

Maddalena was great with my cat. My cat always hides with strangers but she came out and made friends with Maddalena, she sure felt comfortable with her. Maddalena did exactly what I asked her to do and she has a way about her with animals. I will certainly use Maddalena again!
Miranda is great! She is reliable, on time, replies quickly and communicates well in detail. She recently did a drop-in check for our pup; we were so pleased to see pictures of a very happy dog enjoying her playtime with Miranda! We highly recommend Miranda and will be booking her again soon!

Kim was a life saver for us! Our pups do not do well in kennels and are not dog friendly, so having Kim do drop-in visits throughout the day was a total lifesaver! Our one dog has a reoccurring tummy issue that happens few months, unfortunately this happened while we were away. Kim helped keep an eye on her, and even cleaned up when she got sick. We will be using Kim again for any future sitting needs!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
