“Jen was awesome. She Sent me updates and pictures every visit of my cat while i was on vacation. My cat actually wasn’t upset i left as he usually is! He seemed to really like her and he's shy around others. I highly recommend booking with Jen she will take care of your pets. She even drove over to my apartment days before the visit to pick up keys and chat with me about my cat.”

“Sandy is incredibly caring and reliable. Rain or shine, she is out there taking my little one for a walk, engaging in a bit of playtime and providing some good puppy scratches all because she truly cares. Thank you, Sandy!! 🐶💙”

“Ashley did a double drop-in for me on a short notice request (1 dog, 2 cats). She is friendly and my dog liked her right away. Knowing that I had someone to trust with my pets while being gone for a long day was a huge relief. I would not hesitate requesting Ashley again.”

“We were so happy to find Samantha to watch our 3 cats for a week recently. She was very professional, trustworthy, and friendly. She was great at communicating throughout the booking process, at our meet and greet, and while we were away. I felt very comfortable leaving our cats in her care. Each of our cats is on a different diet for medical reasons and she was very conscientious about their needs. We could tell from the daily photos she sent that the kitties loved her visits and the attention she gave them. We looked forward to her Rover Card updates everyday. We would not hesitate to recommend Samantha and will definitely call on her in the future. Thank you so much, Samantha!”

About: Hi, I'm Catilyn! 👋🐾 I've been caring for pets for several years professionally, and nothing makes me happier than helping them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their families are away. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, so I take the time to get to know them and provide care that's tailored to their individual needs. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or simply having a calm and reassuring companion, I'm happy to provide the care that helps them feel at ease. I have experience caring for puppies, adult pets, senior pets, and multi-pet households, and I'm comfortable following detailed care instructions, administering medications when needed, and keeping up with feeding schedules and daily routines. Communication is important to me, so you'll receive regular updates, photos, and messages throughout my visits. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing your pet is receiving dependable, compassionate care while you're away. I treat every pet as if they were my own, and I would love the opportunity to meet you and your furry family members. I look forward to providing a safe, fun, and loving experience for your pets! My availability is part-time in the evenings, usually up to about 4 hours. I have quite a bit of flexibility when it comes to drop-in visits and can often work with different schedules and routines. I’m happy to coordinate with pet parents to find times that work well for both them and their pets! I keep my availability up to date and only accept bookings that I know I can fully commit to. Providing reliable, consistent care is important to me, and I always make sure each pet receives the time, attention, and love they deserve. When caring for pets in your home, my priority is to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I know pets are most comfortable in their own environment, so I take the time to follow your care instructions closely—from feeding schedules and walks to playtime, medications, litter box cleaning, or any special requests. I also treat every home with the same care and respect I would my own. I'll keep things clean and tidy, make sure your pet has fresh food and water, and give them plenty of love and attention based on their personality and comfort level. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or shy and independent, I let them set the pace while making sure they feel safe and cared for. You'll receive regular photo and video updates after each visit so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy, healthy, and in good hands while you're away.
“Carissa was great with our two dogs when she came to visit. She is easy to communicate with and kept us up to date while she was here. Loved getting the photos at the end of her visit, it was easy to see the dogs were very comfortable with her and they had a great time. Thank you!”

“I have used Jessi for my 3 very different cats, with very specific needs and I have been incredibly happy, multiple times! She always makes me feel very comfortable with being away from my babies! I am so thankful to her and plan to use her every time we need someone to check in on my kids!”

“Aly was able to support last minute and my pup loved her from first meeting! So sweet and clearly has love and care for fur babies. She checked in and sent pictures when popping in to let Jada out, which was so appreciated!”

“Angie does an amazing job watching our two cats, hamster and fish. She follows all instructions and additionally takes care to notice what they may need without being asked. Our cats are older: one is blind and one can be crabby and she does well with both of them. It is such a relief to feel comfortable leaving them in good hands. I highly recommend Angie for pet sitting!”

“Carrie did a phenomenal job with my Dog, he is very old and deaf and needed someone who would understand, she did just that!. Sent me many pictures and updates so I always felt at ease about having left. I will be using Carrie again.”
“I enjoy having Suzanne care for my cat. She wanted to learn my processes and she did an exceptional job caring for my cat. I could be at ease and focus on work while my cat was cared for.”

About: Hi my name's Sammie! I'm absolutely obsessed with animals and am working towards a Zoology degree at UWYO. I have a rabbit and 2 dogs, volunteered walking dogs at an animal shelter, and worked at a pet resort that took care of dogs and cats. I have experience with many different dog breeds and personalities. I am comfortable with cats but don't have as much experience and infinite knowledge revolving their care as I do dogs. I am working full time so I do most walks and sittings for my days off, but am also open to walks and drop ins after work I care for all pets I come across as my own prioritizing safety for them, other animals, and me. I love on them unconditionally and they seem to love me too.
“Tami was always right on time. All of my animals were comfortable with her. She did a great job with all of them. This was the first time we have left our fur babies with someone they didn't already know. We were nervous but now we are at ease as long as Tami is available.”

“Justine was booked for daily drop ins for my two cats. She responded to messages quickly and followed my drop in requests perfectly. I would rebook and highly recommend her services.”

“Samantha did a great job for us tonight, Thanksgiving, and it was so nice to arrive home to dogs that had been cared for and fed before we got home. We were gone for hours and it was so appreciated that Samantha took time on her busy holiday to take care of our Furry Herd! We have five dogs, three of whom need medication (one is a fairly complicated regimen of three pills and two eye drops for just one of the dogs), and she pulled it off without a hitch. Thanks again, Samantha!!!!”
“Tara is a wonderful, engaged, and considerate sitter. I have never seen my nervous dog relax with anyone the way he did with Tara. She kept me updated with notes and photos while I was gone and I came home to a happy puppy. I would definitely recommend Tara to anyone with a skittish dog!”

About: Hi, I'm Max! I've been a pet lover ever since I was a kid. Currently, I take care of my childhood dog, Jordy, who's about 19 years old and has several health issues. He's a sweet loving rescue dog, and I wouldn't trade him for the world. I am experienced with giving dogs medications, both liquid and solid, and cleaning them as needed. I understand that every dog has their own needs, and I am willing and able to give every dog the love they need, want, and deserve. PLEASE NOTE: Starting September through December of 2026, I will be booked every Tuesday afternoon & evening, as well as all day every Wednesday. I just graduated from Carthage College, so I have the entire summer to care for your pet! Whether that means staying overnight or walking them a few times a day, I'm ready to give them the care they need. I will make sure your pet is safe and secure in your home, making sure physical boundaries are maintained and secure. A safe pet is a happy pet!
About: I love being around dogs and spending time with them and making them part of the family. I work from home most days so am able to snuggle when they want and play. I’ve always enjoyed having dogs and being around them! My own dog is my whole world! I work full time but mostly from home so I am available at many points throughout the day. I let my dog out to play and go to the bathroom as she requests (which is quite often lol) I have a fully fenced in back yard that my dog loves to run around and play. And during the summer months we have a large pool for them to cool down!

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Waukesha
Jen was great. I had her come by to check on our cats and take care of the autolitter boxes because my elderly Mom could not do that. She was completely understanding and did a great job. We're going out of town again this week and Jen will be back again. Thanks Jen!

Usually when I am gone, my cats get anxious, which lasts a few days after I return. This time, both cats were very laid back and chill, not at all clingy. The house was neat and tidy. (They usually knock things down to show their disapproval at my being gone.) Obviously, they felt at ease with Erica and she did a great job of taking care of them. She also brought in my newspaper and mail and left it neatly where I had asked.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
