About: For the last 10 years I have been the go to pet-sitter for my family, friends and neighbors, and I can be for you also! I have a lot of experience with dogs of all sizes and cats of all kinds. I have taken care of itty bitty baby kittens and helped raised them up to go into their forever homes. I spent time working at a doggie daycare, where I gained some experience administering medications such as pills and eyedrops/eardrops. I, myself have three cats Roo, Gus and Noelle I am currently doing pet care full-time, and I can work with your schedule. I can be flexible, just let me know when you need me! With my own cats and I strive to take care of them the best I can, they get the best food, the best water, a lot of play and so many cuddles. I will take care of your babies as if they are my own, while also also sticking to your standards and routine.

Tami was always right on time. All of my animals were comfortable with her. She did a great job with all of them. This was the first time we have left our fur babies with someone they didn't already know. We were nervous but now we are at ease as long as Tami is available.

Katie did a wonderful job taking care of our senior cat, Luna! Luna is shy and has her routines--meds, supplements, foods, treats. Katie patiently managed them all while helping Luna feel as comfortable as possible with us out of the house. I really appreciate Katie's kindness and care!

Stephanie was amazing! I was worried because this was my first time using Rover and going on a longer trip, but she kept me updated and sent photos daily. Even on days I couldn't respond during the wedding, she still made sure I was in the loop! She was flexible to work with and made the kitties felt loved. They were doing great when I got back, food was full, water was clean, and litter was doing good as well. I would definitely rebook her for other trips too!

About: Hello people of Rover! I’ve been around animals for as long as I can remember, growing up with dogs, guinea pigs and a hamster. I’m still very passionate about animals. I have corgis and still keep guinea pigs at home. When I was younger, I volunteered at HAWS as a cat socializer and Elmbrook Humane Society as a small animal socializer and cage cleaner. I also used to pet sit for my neighbor’s cats and have cared for animals while family was on vacation. I’d love to connect, and I can’t wait to meet you and your furry friend! I can provide drop-in and walk service in the mornings, mid-day period and later evenings. I do pet sitting around a second shift job. I'm available all days of the week. We have 3 dogs at home, whom we provide with exercise, affection, high quality food and grooming care. We also keep guinea pigs, and I have had a hamster in the past. I used to live with and care for cats, as well as watching cats for neighbors.

Kam did a great job checking in on our cat over the Thanksgiving holiday. She responded to our request for a cat sitter very quickly. We loved that she spent time with our cat — that made us feel much better that we had chosen the right person to take care of him. When we need a cat sitter, we will be contacting Kam again!

About: I have been taking care of dogs for around 30 years. Friends, family, and neighbors have all trusted me to love and care for their sweet animals! About: Ever since I can remember I loved taking care of pets. When I was in high school I created my own petsitting/dog walking business Happy Paws. I built up a client base in my neighborhood and surrounding areas. I have experience petsitting dogs and cats, as well as caring for animals with medical needs. I can provide daily care as well as overnight care for your pet. For one year I also worked as a kennel assistant at a vets office. As a kennel assistant, I cared for max 12 dogs in the boarding center. While dogs were in boarding I provided daily care, cleaned kennels, and gave baths as needed. I used to have a dog and grew up with 4 cats in my house. I love taking care of all pets and animals (including chickens)! I am currently a recent graduate of Northern Illinois University. I am able to provide care for your pet during the day and overnight. During the weekday I am available dependent on my work schedule. I work split shifts so mid day care may be arranged. My evening availability is open past 6pm, please reach out for more details. My weekend availability is dependent on certain dates set, please reach out for more details. I am unable to provide care for pets inside my own home, but am willing to spend time in your own home to care for your pet. I have experience providing overnight care for dogs. I abide by all guidelines and instructions set in place and am willing to do a meet and greet before I spend time caring for your pet.

Tami did an excellent job caring for both my cats who have medical needs. My older cat is a diabetic with severe skin issues requiring multiple medications on an alternating schedule in addition to her twice a day insulin. She did a good job asking questions and making sure Kitten got the medications she needed on the correct schedule. She successfully gave both oral and injection medication and Kitten was in great shape when I got back (which is not always the case after a vacation due to her detailed care needs). There were some minor things that came up but those were mostly me being very particular about some specifics and in the end, were not that important and didn't affect the care of the cats. The house was clean and the cat food and litter box trash taken out, which I appreciated.

As of September 2026, there are 2,441 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across Big Bend. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Big Bend stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Big Bend. On Rover:

  • 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
