“This is the first time we have used this type of service and we were very hesitant to try it. But after meeting with Patricia we were convinced it was a good choice. Our dogs took to her right away and eased any concerns we had. The pictures and report cards were great!! Next time we need someone to help out with our furry kids we will be contacting Patricia again.”

“Kelsey was fantastic with my nervous pup. She gave him the space he needed, but got him to eat dinner, and he even relaxed on the couch while I was gone, which is rare for him. She kept me updated all night and was very communicative. I'm looking forward to using Kelsey's services in the future!”

“Elizabeth made time to stop at my home twice today to hang out with pups. She always helps me and my pups out. We are fortunate to have someone my pups are familiar with. Thank you for easing my mind when I can’t be with my dogs!! ❤️🐾🐾”

About: I’ve taken care of animals longer than I’ve even been working. Animals have been a big part of my life and I know it’s a big part of everyone’s. My experience with dogs are more close to big dogs, hunting dogs, and pittbulls. However I’ve also puppy-sat and dog sat small dogs before. And while I don’t want to puppy sit again, I’d love to dog sit! I love giving dogs enrichment activities on walks and at home. So they will never be bored with me! Currently my day life is a bit messy. So I won’t divulge too much. But my mornings I like to keep to myself since this is the first time in years I’ve had slow mornings. But I’m such a night owl that anything after 3pm works!! My house doesn’t have a fence, which is why I currently don’t offer at my house services. But I did however train one of my dogs to be off leash with a good recall! The other won’t be allowed to do so. He chases squirrels wayyyy too much!

“Jessie did a great job taking care of our two cats. We felt very comfortable knowing Jessie would be stopping by to check on them. She always sent pictures, updates, and was very communicative. We would definitely book with Jessie again!”

About: As a former track and cross country athlete, I love long, fast paced walks. I also have a stubborn mini dachshund, so I have patience with slower dogs as well.😂 Clients are able to request locations for walks if desired. I offer walks on forest trails, the Greendale Village, or in your neighborhood! I am currently working part time. I will be able to take on more and longer walks in the summertime since I will not have my online college classes going on. You can expect many pictures of your pup on their walk. If your dog is friendly, I also have a mini dachshund that would love to keep your dog company on walks!
About: I have taken care of all types of animals from fish to lizards. I take of care my own dogs and cat currently and babysit for family and friends. I currently have the summers off due to being a teacher. This allows me to have open availability all summer! I’m available for all services. I have woods in backyard and a dog park across street to provide plenty of exercise. I would take care of your pets as you wish. Anywhere from a hour walk to a few snuggles in the middle day, I’m happy to do it.
“Amanda has been great to work with and she handled the craziness of our two four month old puppies wonderfully! She is great at communicating and provided a nice summary of her visit along with some pictures. We look forward to having Amanda watch the dogs again.”

About: As fur momma and a human momma , I have so much love to give ! I grew up with animals of all kinds from hamsters, iguanas, cats and dogs . My grandparents black lab even put me in the box with her puppies when I was a kid. That's a whole lot of trust! I currently live in a dog friendly home with 2 dogs of my own. I have experience with puppies, kittens, adult dogs, senior dogs and everyone in between. I am available any evening after 530 pm until 10 pm. I am available most Tuesdays any time between 9 am and 2:30 pm. I am free every weekend! I live in an extremely dog friendly apartment complex. All of my niehbors have pets so they don't mind fur babies. I have lots of walking trails. We have a dog park and a nature center where my pups love to socialize and excercise. There are lots of did friends to meet but there are alot of areas to walk in nature if your dog prefers to be in a more calm setting. My dogs love friends! My doggos love a good routine after breakfast we go for a walk , they enjoy their crates as comfort. They enjoy calming treats and deer antlers and of course . When I'm home I take them on a mid day walk or we play on the obstacle course in our on site fenced in dog park open 24/7. We take our evening walk around before bed time and they cozy in for the night.
“Kelsey was incredible. First she was extremely flexible as I changed my plans on her many times! I booked out in advance and she followed up with me beforehand. My cats love her and loved to play and be pet! She handled my entry instructions great and I felt very safe leaving my cats in her care and my apartment open to her! I met her in person as well she is so kind. I highly recommend!”

About: I've had animals in my home for as long as I can remember. From fish, cats, and dogs to even tarantulas, I've cared for a little bit of everything. I've also been the go-to pet sitter for family whenever they're out of town. I currently have an 8-month-old kitten of my own, so I'm familiar with the care, patience, and attention pets need to thrive Besides taking care of my own pet, I have a consistent, part-time job and schedule that allows me to commit to the obligations that I've made with other owners. I don't believe in "get in, get out". I make sure any pet gets proper attention and some play time. Pictures of pets for reassurance is something I offer
“Lexi was a very dependable dog sitter while we were away for the weekend. She was kind and patient with my doggie who can be a little lazy, she checked in on time and sent details and photos in a timely fashion. I felt that my doggo, Mama Zoe, was very safe with Lexi. Thank you, Lexi!”

About: I’ve been wanting to offer our home on Rover for a while now and I’m super excited to finally be doing so. Our three year old Cavapoo, Sadie, loves other dogs. The only thing your dog may fear in our home are Sadie’s kisses and snuggles. Dogs here get treated like our children… except they don’t have to do chores and nobody makes them eat vegetables. They join our family routine: playtime, couch time, and tons of attention from dog-loving adults and kid volunteers ready for belly rub duty. We’re comfortable with: 🌟 Puppy routines (potty breaks, training, happy chaos) 🧡 Seniors (extra patience, soft blankets, slow strolls) 💊 Meds & special care 🐶 Dogs 40 lbs or lighter Your pup will head home feeling loved, spoiled, and fully adopted by our little “pack.” I’m home full time so I have a very flexible schedule. My husband works from home and is able to help out as well during the day if needed. So we don’t have a fenced in yard, but we are fully capable of taking your pups out on leashes or letting them hang out on a lead in our front yard. We have a medium sized crate if your dog requires any sort of crating. There is a small fenced in dog area near our home that is about a two min walk from our backyard. With your permission, we can let your pup loose in the that area if they want to run around freely. Our dog is trained to let us know when she needs to go outside by tapping bells on our doors. We have bells hanging from our front door and our bedroom door. If your dog is trained with bells, then we have them covered. If not, that’s okay too! We’ll of course still let them outside every couple of hours to go potty and sniff around.☺️
“With my travel schedule for work it is hard to plan ahead and Sarah has been so accommodating with my schedule and taking on watching Flossy it gives me a sense of security knowing she is there for me. She is a great communicator and she is someone that really loves her job. I couldn’t be more satisfied as a customer with Rover and Sarah is the sole reason for that.”

About: I’ve been a devoted animal lover and pet owner for as long as I can remember. From dogs and cats to caring for pets with unique personalities and needs, animals have always been a huge part of my life. Currently, I share my home with a lovable, mischievous hound mix who keeps me on my toes and a cat who completely stole my heart. A few years ago, I lost my soul dog, Jersey, and that experience deepened my understanding of the special bond we share with our pets. I know firsthand how difficult it can be to leave them behind and trust someone else with their care. That’s why I treat every pet as if they were my own—with patience, affection, attention, and plenty of love. Whether your pet needs a quick drop-in visit, playtime, cuddles, a walk, or simply a friendly face while you’re away, my goal is to make them feel safe, happy, and cared for. I also know how important peace of mind is for pet parents, so you can expect regular updates, photos, and communication throughout my visits. Because I work from home, I have a flexible schedule that often allows me to accommodate drop-in visits and pet care needs throughout the day. I’m committed to providing dependable, compassionate care and building a trusting relationship with both you and your pets. I look forward to meeting your furry family members and becoming someone you can count on whenever you need a helping hand! 🐾❤️ I work from home and have a decently flexible schedule. I have a young son and pets of my own but thankfully I share these responsibilities with my rockstar husband so I will be able to care for your fur babies. I understand that having a stranger in your home can be a little uncomfortable. I will 💯 respect your space and keep things clean in order for your while you are gone. Please let me know your preferences for my stay.

Nicole was a wonderful sitter for our 4 cats. Throughout our week away, Nicole kept me updated with daily reports and photos of our cats looking very happy and relaxed. She spent lots of time playing with them everyday which they clearly loved. In addition she watered my patio plants. I recommend Nicole whole heartedly to anyone who loves their pets and values their happiness.
Jackie was fantastic. We totally baby our cat and she made us feel confident he was in good hands. Lots of pictures and updates. We also had a family emergency that kept us out of town longer; Jackie was incredibly kind and looked after our boy longer than anticipated.

Amanda has been great to work with and she handled the craziness of our two four month old puppies wonderfully! She is great at communicating and provided a nice summary of her visit along with some pictures. We look forward to having Amanda watch the dogs again.

April was amazing! She came through for me last minute on New Year’s Day and took wonderful care of both of my dogs. One of them is a difficult Pomeranian and she handled everything calmly and confidently. I feel completely at ease knowing they were in good hands. I’m grateful for her help and would absolutely book her again. Highly recommend!

Melissa did such a great job caring for our kitties while we were away! Loved the pictures and updates, and the cats were calm and happy when we got home. They had a great time visiting with Melissa! We really appreciated her sense of humor with the youngest (and most mischievous!) one, and her patience and understanding with our middle age antisocial cat too. We will definitely book her again very soon.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
