“Michele was great with Pekoe. His photos showed my stranger-averae parrot to be calm and happy. She did a great job respecting his space and personality while keeping his bedtime routine intact. I've already booked her for my next 2 trips. 🙂”

“Katie is the absolute best! Our cat, Sammy, was happy and well-fed and cared for during our time away. We were a bit worried, as Sam is rather shy, but Katie had no problem making friends with him. We are so very grateful! Thanks so much, Katie!”

“Amanda has been great to work with and she handled the craziness of our two four month old puppies wonderfully! She is great at communicating and provided a nice summary of her visit along with some pictures. We look forward to having Amanda watch the dogs again.”

About: As a former track and cross country athlete, I love long, fast paced walks. I also have a stubborn mini dachshund, so I have patience with slower dogs as well.😂 Clients are able to request locations for walks if desired. I offer walks on forest trails, the Greendale Village, or in your neighborhood! I am currently working part time. I will be able to take on more and longer walks in the summertime since I will not have my online college classes going on. You can expect many pictures of your pup on their walk. If your dog is friendly, I also have a mini dachshund that would love to keep your dog company on walks!
“Mary is our go-to for animal care when we travel, and we couldn’t feel more comfortable leaving our two dogs in her care. She’s so sweet and treats them like her own, gives individualized attention and truly cares about their experience -and ours- while we are away. Tanner and Wrigley can’t wait to see you again!”

About: I've had animals in my home for as long as I can remember. From fish, cats, and dogs to even tarantulas, I've cared for a little bit of everything. I've also been the go-to pet sitter for family whenever they're out of town. I currently have an 8-month-old kitten of my own, so I'm familiar with the care, patience, and attention pets need to thrive Besides taking care of my own pet, I have a consistent, part-time job and schedule that allows me to commit to the obligations that I've made with other owners. I don't believe in "get in, get out". I make sure any pet gets proper attention and some play time. Pictures of pets for reassurance is something I offer
“This is the first time we have used this type of service and we were very hesitant to try it. But after meeting with Patricia we were convinced it was a good choice. Our dogs took to her right away and eased any concerns we had. The pictures and report cards were great!! Next time we need someone to help out with our furry kids we will be contacting Patricia again.”

“Was able to accommodate a last-minute booking due to unexpected surgery and was super-accommodating over the weekend hospital stay updates. The pups looked super happy in every pic! Thanks so much.”

About: What sets me apart is my hands on experience as a dog foster, which has given me the ability to care for dogs with a wide range of personalities, energy levels, and needs. I’m comfortable adjusting to new routines quickly and helping pets feel safe and settled in a new environment. I provide calm, attentive, in home care where pets are treated like family. I focus on keeping their routine consistent, whether that includes feeding schedules, potty breaks, crate time, or extra play and attention. I’ve cared for both high energy dogs who need structure and exercise, as well as more anxious or relaxed dogs who need a calm, comforting space. My goal is always to make pets feel secure, loved, and at home while their owners are away and to keep owners updated so they can feel at ease. My schedule is flexible, I work part time and I’m able to provide consistent care throughout the day. I’m typically home most of the day, so pets get plenty of attention, potty breaks, playtime, and supervision. I can adjust my daily routine around the pets in my care and make sure their needs are met on a regular schedule. I provide care in a calm, clean, and pet friendly home where safety and comfort are the top priority. Pets are supervised throughout the day and are never left unattended for long periods. I follow each pet’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, and any specific instructions from the owner. I introduce pets slowly into my home to help them feel comfortable and settled. I have a fenced yard for safe outdoor time, and all outdoor breaks are always supervised. Inside, pets have a cozy, relaxed environment where they can rest and feel at home. Pets are welcome on furniture if that is allowed by their owner, so they can stay as comfortable as they are in their own home. I pay close attention to each pet’s behavior and comfort level, especially during the adjustment period. My goal is to create a safe, low stress, loving environment, and I provide regular updates so owners always know how their pet is doing.
“Lauren was absolutely amazing. She was adaptive to our animals. This was my first rover experience and I wouldn’t think twice of using the service again; hoping for Lauren. She was amazing, responsive and professional!”

“Kailey was a pleasure to work with start to finish. She listens well and you can tell that she really loves to take care of pets. This gave us assurance that while we were overseas on vacation, we knew that our beloved pet would be taken care of with love and compassion and according to our instructions/requests. She went out of her way to take care of other things outside of norm of pet sitting regarding our house, including bringing in the mail, taking care of our trash pickup, watering our plants, and picked up our flag that fell off of the post and put it in our garage for us, etc....Kailey took the time to send updates and pictures of our pet after the pet visits, which helped assure us of his current condition. I highly recommend her for your pet/house sitting needs!”

“Sarah is excellent with our cat and two (territorial/neurotic) dogs, and is always reliable and on time. She is willing to put in the time to get to know the animals and build a relationship so that future drop ins go smoothly!”

About: I have been taking care of dogs almost my whole life. Whether it was my family dog or checking in on others dogs while their family went on vacation. I do work full time M-F 7:30am till 6pm at night. I am typically free on the weekends outside of schooling which is only a couple hours a day. By caring for pets in my clients home, I first take them outside to do their business right away and stretch their legs. I always make sure there is water in their bowl and food as explained by my client. If taking on walks I try to stay local unless the family has a preferred route the dog likes.

About: Hi, I’m Ashling! Animals have been a central part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier, spent my teenage years as the go-to neighborhood babysitter and pet sitter, and today, I’m a proud pet parent to two wonderful Wheatens of my own. Because of my personal experience with dogs of all backgrounds, I understand that every animal is unique. My philosophy is to always meet animals where they are at—building trust at their pace while providing a safe, confident, and structured environment. I'm currently accepting weekday appointments for now and will accept some overnights and weekends. I have a flexible schedule at this point and will be able to care for pets multiple times throughout the day and night. I will treat your home and your pets with the utmost respect and try to follow the schedule and routine to make sure your pet is comfortable in their home while you're away. Their safety and comfort is my highest priority.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
