About: I've loved caring for pets my entire life! My mother was a vet tech who taught me everything I needed to know about caring for animals. I have two senior dachshunds adopted from rescues and have rehabilitated them to be sweet socialized canine citizens. I love dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes. I work a hybrid office job which gives me some flexibility for assisting with your pets! I can walk or visit with your pets in the evenings on weekdays, or anytime on weekends. Your pet will receive care according to their unique needs while I'm visiting with them. Play, feeding, affection, or exercise defined by what you would want to be doing for them yourself.

I follow each pet’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, and any specific instructions from the owner. I introduce pets slowly into my home to help them feel comfortable and settled. I have a fenced yard for safe outdoor time, and all outdoor breaks are always supervised. Inside, pets have a cozy, relaxed environment where they can rest and feel at home. Pets are welcome on furniture if that is allowed by their owner, so they can stay as comfortable as they are in their own home. I pay close attention to each pet’s behavior and comfort level, especially during the adjustment period. My goal is to create a safe, low stress, loving environment, and I provide regular updates so owners always know how their pet is doing.

She kept me updated with pictures and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was obvious that she genuinely cared about Frankie and wasn’t just checking off a list of tasks. She even took Frankie on a long walk that wasn’t expected, just because she wanted to, and I know Frankie loved every minute of it. Coming home knowing my dog had been so well cared for meant everything to me. Frankie can be particular, and I don’t trust many people with her, but after this experience, I honestly don’t want anyone else watching her if she’s available. About: I have had dogs my entire life. Recently, my husband and I, lost our beautiful friend, Freckles. She was 14.5 years old. I am retired, and want to help people who struggle with finding someone reliable to care for their furry friends. I've been there! I'm currently working 1 to 2 days per week, very part time hours. Would like to be with dogs occasionally, since my husband and I are not going to get another pet at this time in our lives. I do have a fenced in backyard, not sure if I will be doing daycare or overnights at my house right now. New to Rover, so want to start our with dog walking and dog house visits.
