Cory was outstanding and went above and beyond in his care for our cat. We are beyond thrilled at how attentive and communicative Cory was with us, even stopping by on off days to check on our cat and take out our garbage. We highly recommend him and will use his services again!!

Stephanie is very responsive and patient. She is very caring and great with my dogs. On their first visit with her, my one dog, Panda, has already bonded really well with her and he didn’t want her to stop petting him. We’re very happy that we chose Stephanie to sit for us and am looking forward to having her sit for us more.

Blythe was very patient with Miley, who is a very people-selective dog. I appreciate that she went at Miley’s pace and didn’t try to force her out on a walk. Miley takes time to warmup to people, so I appreciate that Blythe spent time just petting and socializing with her.

About: I have had dogs my whole life, have helped train family pets, and am certified as a Comfort Dog handler. I have watched dogs from the wee size of a Chihuahua to big fluffy Newfoundlands. I love using patience and kindness to ensure your pups safety and well-being. I agrew up with the high energy of Border Collies, both young and older. I have dogsat at someone's house up to 5 dogs at a time, with varying food needs and medications. I try my best to be flexible and up for anything you need to ensure your furry friend is taken care of the same way I would care for my own. From walks, to watching them in my home, I am here to help you remain confident in your dog's care. For boarding, I do have two dogs that live in residence and would be available for a meet and greet prior to booking. I work a hybrid schedule, so some days I am fully working from home and other days I am in the office and usually pop home in the early afternoon to let my dogs out and finish the day working from home. Dogs get fed before I start work and dinner when I finish. If I work from home I usually take a break outside at some point to play with the pups and after work we can do walks or dog park or hanging out in the yard. I have a fenced yard and two other pups in the home who are relatively chill. Dogs are allowed on the furniture and get lots of snuggles. My own dogs are crate-trained but rarely use them. They are often left on the living room couch when I leave, with a baby gate keeping them in. Can use crates if needed, I own a size small and a size large. My dogs are 25 and 12 pounds. The smaller of the two is a rescue and is extremely chill and friendly to all other dogs. The bigger dog can be sensitive with other dogs sniffing his butt but the most he does is bark at them to move away. He usually minds his own space and doesn't play with other dogs much but also doesn't bother them.

About: Hi I’m Reece! I am a local artist who Graduated with my BFA from UW-Milwaukee in 2015, and since then have been an artist in residence at Var Gallery. I currently live in Bayview and work in galleries around Walkers Point. I’ve owned and cared for dogs since I was a kid. Caring for pets whether my own or others has always been a very fun and rewarding part of my life. I’ve grown a love for pets and now feel I can easily grow a bond with almost any animal. This job grants me that opportunity and I absolutely can’t wait to meet you and your pets and take great care of them. If you’re looking for someone who will treat your pets just like family I’m your guy.

About: Currently work at a dog daycare and boarding facility. I’ve always taken care of family/ friends dogs, I’m confident in basic commands and walking with a well trained dog! I’m currently working part time, so I am pretty available! I don’t have a set schedule for sitting or walking but shoot me a text and I’ll try my best to be there! I always keep my dogs fenced and crated when I can’t have my eyes on the them. Otherwise my cats are free to roam inside!!

About: I’ve had cats, dogs, and small mammals in my home since I was a kid, so caring for animals truly comes naturally to me. I currently have two dogs — a male black Lab and a female Springer Spaniel — I personally potty trained my Springer and taught both dogs general obedience. I also have experience safely introducing new cats to other cats and to dogs, and I understand the importance of slow, structured transitions. I’m attentive to body language, routines, and each pet’s unique personality. Whether your pet needs structure, playtime, or cuddles, I treat every animal like my own — with patience, consistency, and lots of love. 🐾💛 I am available to assist with walks or potty breaks on weeknights after I get off work around 5pm. I have more open availability on the weekends, as I am off of work from my regular job. On weekends, I can also assist with overnights at my house on Friday and Saturday or hosting during the day. I provide a safe, loving home environment for your pet while you’re away! We have a fully fenced yard (4-5ishft) for supervised play and hardwood floors for easy cleanup. I have a gentle five-year-old daughter who is very comfortable around animals, and my husband. We have two dogs: a male black lab (not neutered) and a female springer spaniel (spayed). If your pet prefers their own space, my dogs can be kenneled in our finished basement, and kept separate to ensure everyone is comfortable. Pets are welcome to snuggle on the furniture or use a cozy pet bed. I provide food and water bowls — you just supply the food. My goal is to make your pet feel right at home!

About: I work as an ICU RN and even though this entails humans, I extend my knowledge to animals. It allows me to identify and problem solve health and behavioral issues, with the tools to create solutions. I genuinely offer compassion to all animals, not just cats/dogs. I give my time, respect and patience. I have taken care of all kinds of pets; different species, breeds, sizes, temperaments, and needs, ever since I was a child. My childhood home was always filled with an abundance of animals (& also reptiles, aquatic life and arachnids). I look forward to meeting your extended member of the family! :D The perk of being a RN is that I only 3 days a week. This leaves me extra time during the week for other activities. I am an animal lover, so what better way to fill a few hours of time than with more furry friends! I will not be doing boarding at my own home. I will however treat your home with respect and follow guideline for providing the best care for your fur baby!

It was obvious in the pictures she sent that Basil loved her as well. We could not ask for more. Thank you, Kelsey!!

About: I'm Charlotte, your pet’s new best friend! I love getting outside for walks, playing fetch, and giving plenty of belly rubs. I’m patient, nurturing, and attentive to each pet’s personality — whether they’re energetic and playful or more laid-back and cuddly. I’ll treat your pet like one of my own and make sure they feel safe, loved, and totally spoiled while you’re gone! I live a very active lifestyle, I love walks in the park, trails and the beach! I have 2 dogs of my own maltipoo (5) and teddypoo (3) who are good with other dogs but would prefer to do drop in visits/walks for neighbors as I have a little one now and would like to help neighbors while also getting my steps in and fresh air out of the house! Can’t wait to hear from you! I am at home during the day and would love a good excuse to get some fresh air and dog loving while also helping my neighbors. I do not plan to board dogs as I have 2 of my own and pups usually love to stay in their comfortable safe environment that they know while you are away.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Pet Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Pet Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 2,286 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across South Milwaukee. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a South Milwaukee stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in South Milwaukee. On Rover:

  • 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
