About: I have taken care of a menagerie if pets my entire life. Family, friends, and neighbors have trusted me to care for their furbabies. I will give your pets the love and attention they deserve I currently work part time in the evenings so I have plenty of time to take care of your pets. I am available weekdays, weekends, and holidays. I will care for your furbabies in your home so they are in a familiar place and reduce stress. I will care for them as if they were my own. Giving them play and exercise keeping to their schedule and routine.
About: I volunteer at a dog shelter that deals with all ages and comfortably around new people. This allows me to pick up on dogs needs and adjust accordingly. I am currently working full time 4 days a week. This allows me a more flexible schedule to help take care of dogs through the week and weekends. I have experience with dogs that bolt when doors are opened outside and know how to block them properly. When helping with potting breaks they can be play breaks to get rid of excess energy. I have experienced teaching dogs to walk on a leash with and without a harness.
“Cayla has been such a blessing to us. She is reliable, flexible, and communicates so well! Our puppy adores her, and Cayla is SO patient- even when our girl throws a curveball at her every day, she always finds a way to keep their walks going! It’s comforting knowing she is in such trustworthy hands while having so much fun. Highly recommend Cayla!”

“Jackie did a great job for us! We had several changes to the schedule which she was more than happy to acommodate. We so appreciated her flexibility and willingness to roll with the changes. Would definitely request her anytime we need it. Thank you Jackie!”

“Elizabeth was great! She responded to a last minute request for a walk with my Whiskey. She kept me updated when she would arrive, took photos on the walk, let me know when he did his business and really cared. Will definitely be going back to her for future walks and care!”

“Excellent immediate communication always. Two days 1.5 hrs late out of 9 days but otherwise on time. I did not see Quazaye with my dog when she was walking him but could tell he was missing her when time ended. Always sent pics, consistent. Would use again! Thank you for your service.”

About: Hi! I have taken care of cats, dogs, chickens & lizards. I feed them, enjoy walking them & spending time with all of them. Thanks. I currently work full time and this is something I do part time, on the side. My full time job is flexible but I would need notice to adjust my work schedule.I can’t promise I can do this all the time… I like to do a meet n greet first so I can meet the family, let the pets sniff me & have some interaction. I follow the regular routine when I am in the clients home. If they are crated, I crate them. If they need to be let out in the middle of night & that is what the owner does, I let pet out…I make sure they are well taken care of. I treat them as they are my own.

About: I have had and cared for dogs my entire life. I often dog-sit for friends and family, and I have had 6 foster dogs in the past! I’m familiar with taking care of old dogs and those that need medications as well. I recently finished graduate school and am applying for full-time positions. That being said, I am home a majority of the time to give your dog plenty of attention! I have one small, friendly dog that would keep your pup company! I allow my dog on furniture and do not crate her, so I am willing to care for your dog in the way you prefer (crate, free roam, etc.)
“We use Carrie to let our dog out while at work and we couldn’t recommend her more!! This was our first time using Rover and we are so glad we found her. She is reliable, a great communication and we love the photos we get from her. It is nice knowing our pup, Woody, is in good hands when she goes to take him on walks. You can tell Woody loves her as well. 10/10 recommend Carrie!!”

About: I have extensive experience caring for other people’s pets! I enjoy caring for dogs of all sizes and cats of all temperaments, and I have experience with administering medication. As someone who works regular hours Monday — Friday, I am a better fit for a dog who is okay to be home alone throughout the day (~9 hour period). However, I have plenty of availability on Fridays and weekends to care for your furry friends! I am a trustworthy person to have in your home and with your dogs and cats. I give my full attention to the pets I am taking care of. I will be sure to communicate any concerns I notice with regard to safety or pet health!

About: I’ve taken care of many dogs I’d say every kind I’ve worked in daycares where I would bathe them, feed them, or just keep them company and let them know they are safe I’m currently working part time at target, I’m always free to take care of your fur babies and make sure they are fed and taken care of! I have a fenced in yard that my dogs absolutely love playing fetch it and my fur babies love other fur babies they will get alone very well!
“Kandice is a wonderfully lovely person who was really kind and great meeting my pups. We had a meet and greet and took the pups for a walk together to get to know one another. Would definitely recommend for another walk!”

About: My name is Alexis, I have always been the person to ask if i can pet your dog! I love all animals and would love to meet as many lovely pets as I can! I am available during the weekdays anytime and available on most weekends. I was a lead kennel attendant at a doggie dorms, I was the animal care manager for my agriculture classes in High School and have been dog sitting for family and family friends for a years. I have never been without a dog in my household. Right now I live with 1 pup of my own, she is a 6 year old old yellow lab! I have always had bigger dogs in my home and prefer to work with bigger dogs or puppies, but am not opposed to working with small dogs. I am good with dogs who may have a "special" case. For example I home sit for a 4 dog home which includes a Rottweiler, Black Lab, Miniature Pinscher, and Pug mix. The two big dogs can't be in the same room together but that doesn't mean they both don't deserve love. I also volunteered with Lucky Mutts Rescue and help to do the "puppy pickups" where we drove to Oklahoma to rescue dogs and bring them to Wisconsin! I've worked with animals since I was 11 an would love to meet as many dogs as possible! I am free any time during the week currently, I am home 24/7 and free on most weekends for all the play time with the pups! I do not have a fenced in yard but I live on a large plot of land, that is tucked behind a lot of trees, I have a lot of space for running and playing.
About: I have been taking care of pets all my life, from puppies and kittens to senior pets. I also have special experience volunteering at the Anderson Humane Society where I walked dogs, socialized cats, and other overall care activities! I have been privately dog and cat sitting with family friends and neighbors for about 5 years as well. Other than preparing for graduate school in the fall (moving August 1st), I will be around and completely free to take care of your furry friends! Pet safety is my number one concern. I make sure all pets under my care feel safe and happy, taking note of their needs along their stay.
“Very sweet to the puppy and takes her on good length walk. Also takes her out back to potty if she doesn’t go on the walk (which she never likes doing). Also is great about coordinating times.”

About: I have taken care of many pets in the past years. I love to go on walks and play ball to get some energy out throughout the day! I have lots of free time throughout the day because I work nights. I am always looking for things to do and my dog would love a new friend! I have a big back yard for my dog to play in! I also live right near lots of hiking trails that I can take them on!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
