“Elizabeth was great! She responded to a last minute request for a walk with my Whiskey. She kept me updated when she would arrive, took photos on the walk, let me know when he did his business and really cared. Will definitely be going back to her for future walks and care!”

About: I've been around animals my whole life! Family and friends have trusted me to feed, walk, play with, and care for their pets, both cats and dogs. I also worked for Wag, which I thoroughly enjoyed and learned so much about caring for pets. My schedule is extremely flexible and I only work part time, so I can care for your pets at almost any time of day, especially mornings and afternoons. In a client's home, the pets are in a familiar environment with an unfamiliar person. So, the first thing I do is give the pets a chance to get used to me! Let them sniff me, let them approach me at their own pace.
“Very sweet to the puppy and takes her on good length walk. Also takes her out back to potty if she doesn’t go on the walk (which she never likes doing). Also is great about coordinating times.”

“Kailey has been amazing for our puppy Cooper!!! She leaves very detailed notes for us on the walks and we LOVE the pics she takes for us! She understands his quirks and works so well with him!!!”

About: I have a way with animals. Pets that don't like people typically tend to be my best friends. I have always loved animals ever since I was little. My goal is to be friends with every animal I meet. You have fun and I will make sure your pet does as well. I work full time in sales, so I am quite flexible. I can typically work my schedule to fit around what I need to do. I am happy to drop in and hung out with your pet while you are away. I love to go for walks, so I will be happy to tire a pet out with some good walk time.
About: I have taken care of all types of animals from fish to lizards. I take of care my own dogs and cat currently and babysit for family and friends. I currently have the summers off due to being a teacher. This allows me to have open availability all summer! I’m available for all services. I have woods in backyard and a dog park across street to provide plenty of exercise. I would take care of your pets as you wish. Anywhere from a hour walk to a few snuggles in the middle day, I’m happy to do it.
“Jackie did a great job for us! We had several changes to the schedule which she was more than happy to acommodate. We so appreciated her flexibility and willingness to roll with the changes. Would definitely request her anytime we need it. Thank you Jackie!”

I have taken care of itty bitty baby kittens and helped raised them up to go into their forever homes. I spent time working at a doggie daycare, where I gained some experience administering medications such as pills and eyedrops/eardrops. I, myself have three cats Roo, Gus and Noelle I am currently doing pet care full-time, and I can work with your schedule. I can be flexible, just let me know when you need me! With my own cats and I strive to take care of them the best I can, they get the best food, the best water, a lot of play and so many cuddles. “Excellent immediate communication always. Two days 1.5 hrs late out of 9 days but otherwise on time. I did not see Quazaye with my dog when she was walking him but could tell he was missing her when time ended. Always sent pics, consistent. Would use again! Thank you for your service.”

“Cayla has been such a blessing to us. She is reliable, flexible, and communicates so well! Our puppy adores her, and Cayla is SO patient- even when our girl throws a curveball at her every day, she always finds a way to keep their walks going! It’s comforting knowing she is in such trustworthy hands while having so much fun. Highly recommend Cayla!”

About: I’ve grown up owning and taking care of all kinds of animals my whole life. I have two years of professional experience with dog handling and dog walking. I’ve worked with dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages, and temperaments. I have an opened availability. I’m available every day of the week. I require a 24 hour notice if you are canceling your appointment with your fur baby. I always make sure any fur baby around me is safe, comfortable, and happy. I always use positive, calm tones. I’m always very patient and sympathetic. I always try to understand an animal and their background. As someone who has owned and has worked with animals with abusive backgrounds, I find it very important to connect with and understand the animal. I understand that not everyone can be approached the same way, and some will need more patience than others. Treats are always a gateway to be an animal’s best friend too. (Unless you don’t want your fur baby to receive treats. I totally understand that some animals have allergies and food restrictions)!

About: Hello, I am 24 and love animals. I have always had dogs in my house (large dogs). Now I have my own dog with my Husband. I have lots of experience helping out family with caring for animals and then started branching out through word of mouth. I know how much I struggle to find a pet sitter I trust and want to be that person for others. I’m currently working at a dental office and on a break from school. Thankfully me and my husband have a great routine and balance with our pup that I can be flexible with my schedule for your pup. I would love to provide your dog with anything it may need. From snuggles and love to a quick bathroom break. I love to get steps in during my day as well and can always bring your pup along.
About: As midwest natives with lots of yard space, my sister and I grew up with big dogs in the house. In fact, we had lots of animals. I love being active and engaging with animals, so anytime I can combine the two is a pleasure. These days, I’m home more than ever, and I’d love to spend time outdoors with a dog (or a cat) and burn some energy for the both of us! I take daily walks around parks and trails in my area, and I like to be outdoors as much as possible throughout the day in general. My home is pet friendly and I’d love to host overnight or during daytime work hours as needed. I am flexible to what you need. Looking forward to being in touch! I live with my sister, and the two of us partner in caring for our furry friend visitors. We both work remotely so our schedule is fully flexible. It's easy to take walks, go play outside with the pets, and enjoy lots of breaks throughout the day. Because I work remotely, I am able to give pets in my home my full attention. I am flexible to guest needs and am happy to adjust my space accordingly.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Union Church. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
