“Kam was an answer to my prayers! There are just sometimes I have to be away where my dog, a toy Aussie, can’t go, but I always hated taking him to a kennel. Somehow I found Rover and that led me to Kam. After a meet and greet I knew this was good. Kam, her family and her pets welcomed Cosmo in and treated him like family. She sent pictures several times a day. This was perfect for me to be able to leave him without feeling bad. He had lots of fun there. So glad I found Rover and Kam! It feels good!”

She snuggles with them on the couch and lets them sleep on the bed. They got along great with her dog. They even got homemade healthy treats. “We searched high and low for the right place and people to care for our dog Stella, and we could not be more grateful to have found Carol and Steve. Carol and Steve were ideal people with whom we could safely leave Stella. They have an incredibly well-maintained (and absolutely gorgeous) property of which the backyard is completely fenced in, which gave Stella plenty of time and space to run around and sniff to her heart's content. My husband and I were certain while we were gone that Stella was getting as much exercise and outdoor time as she wanted. This was a wonderful reassurance as we had never boarded her anywhere else before and were nervous that she'd have to be stuck in a kennel or a room for most of our absence. Not so once we found this wonderful couple! Carol and Steve followed our instructions for Stella to the letter and it was clear they were both very comfortable and at ease taking care of our dog. No issues whatsoever and we have absolutely nothing but positive things to say about our experience with them. Possibly the BEST part about having booked with Carol and Steve is their impeccable communication. We never - at any point - had to wait long for a response, whether we were asking a question or just communicating logistics regarding Stella's stay. They also made sure to send along regular update messages with pictures while we were gone, typically twice a day. This factor alone made this the most relaxing trip we've taken as a family to date. It gave us complete peace of mind to read and see that Stella was not only doing okay, but was being well taken care of, snuggled, loved, played with, and included as a part of their home. What a treat to find people who will care of your pet the way that you would yourself. We can't recommend Carol and Steve highly enough. Do yourself a favor and hire them. They're exceptional!”

About: I've been around animals my whole life! Family and friends have trusted me to feed, walk, play with, and care for their pets, both cats and dogs. I also worked for Wag, which I thoroughly enjoyed and learned so much about caring for pets. My schedule is extremely flexible and I only work part time, so I can care for your pets at almost any time of day, especially mornings and afternoons. In a client's home, the pets are in a familiar environment with an unfamiliar person. So, the first thing I do is give the pets a chance to get used to me! Let them sniff me, let them approach me at their own pace.

My older cat is a diabetic with severe skin issues requiring multiple medications on an alternating schedule in addition to her twice a day insulin. She did a good job asking questions and making sure Kitten got the medications she needed on the correct schedule. She successfully gave both oral and injection medication and Kitten was in great shape when I got back (which is not always the case after a vacation due to her detailed care needs). There were some minor things that came up but those were mostly me being very particular about some specifics and in the end, were not that important and didn't affect the care of the cats. The house was clean and the cat food and litter box trash taken out, which I appreciated.”

She even took Frankie on a long walk that wasn’t expected, just because she wanted to, and I know Frankie loved every minute of it. “Kam was an answer to my prayers! There are just sometimes I have to be away where my dog, a toy Aussie, can’t go, but I always hated taking him to a kennel. Somehow I found Rover and that led me to Kam. After a meet and greet I knew this was good. Kam, her family and her pets welcomed Cosmo in and treated him like family. She sent pictures several times a day. This was perfect for me to be able to leave him without feeling bad. He had lots of fun there. So glad I found Rover and Kam! It feels good!”

About: I've been caring for animals for over 25 years, from mice and rabbits to horses and dogs of all sizes. I'm the proud owner of an Akita named Yoshi, so I'm comfortable with dogs of all sizes, including strong breeds. Working in healthcare has taught me to be dependable, attentive, and calm under pressure. Whether your dog is here for boarding, a walk, or a drop-in visit, they'll be treated like family with plenty of love, exercise, and personalized care. I am also experienced with senior dogs and giving medication. I work from home two days a week, giving me extra time to spend with the pets in my care. I'm available on Sundays for walks and drop-in visits, and I'm home most weekends for boarding. Need an evening walk between 7:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.? Or a one time weekday overnight between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. ? Send me a message—I may be able to fit you in even if my availability appears closed. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I only care for one client's pets at a time to provide individualized attention. My friendly Akita, Yoshi, can interact with social dogs or be kept completely separate if needed. I have a spare bedroom, crates available upon request, and a calm, clean environment where your pet can feel at home. I'll also provide regular photo updates for your peace of mind.
About: My family has dog sat for all sorts of different dogs. Puppies, seniors, energetic, or really anything! I love walking dogs and just having fun with them! I’m a firefighter so I work a rotating schedule of 24 hour shifts. So I get a lot of days off with a lot of availability. I have no pets of my own. Can give my full energy to walking and caring for your dogs whenever the schedules may work out.

About: I am a dog lover and caretaker of my own 5-year-old basset hound, Pearl! Each dog is unique and deserves lots of love and respect. I'm happy to work with dogs of all breeds and will honor their individual needs, preferences, and schedules. With a flexible job schedule, I am able to provide dog care (walks, drop-ins, and/or overnight boarding stays) during the week and on some weekends. As a dog parent myself, I understand the care and thought that goes into establishing your dog's routine. I am happy to accommodate for your dog's usual schedule and habits, whether that's in our apartment or your place of residence.
