Adrianne is amazing! She was communicative, asked thoughtful questions during the meet and greet, and ensured meds were delivered to a picky eater. We hope to have her back for future vacations!

Quazaye and our dog Deetz connected the first time they meet. She had a definite concern for our dog. We were out of the area for four days. During that time we were comfortable that Quazaye was taking care of our pet. After we arrived home I noticed that Deetz was laying by the front door apparently waiting for Quazaye a sure sign that she had taken very good care of him. We would definitely consider using the services of Rover and Quazaye in the future if needed.

We came home to 4 happy healthy fur babies from our week long vacation. Lots of photos and check ins were sent to ease our mind. Our bed sheets were washed and bed re-made, house stayed clean. There is no doubt I will use Pat again. AMAZING!!

Alexandra was fantastic! She took very good care of our fur baby, Toco. Alexandra provided frequent updates on Toco’s care, which helped us relax and enjoy our family reunion. I’m excited to have found someone local to utilize in the future. I highly recommend her for anyone looking for a mature, responsible animal lover to take care of your fur babies. Thank you! Alexandra.

Abigail did a fantastic job with our pups! She was kind, trustworthy, and clearly cared about providing the best care possible. I really appreciated her communication throughout — she even let us know that our fridge was acting up and helped us find a solution while we were away. We felt completely at ease knowing our dogs were in great hands!

About: I've been around animals my whole life! Family and friends have trusted me to feed, walk, play with, and care for their pets, both cats and dogs. I also worked for Wag, which I thoroughly enjoyed and learned so much about caring for pets. My schedule is extremely flexible and I only work part time, so I can care for your pets at almost any time of day, especially mornings and afternoons. In a client's home, the pets are in a familiar environment with an unfamiliar person. So, the first thing I do is give the pets a chance to get used to me! Let them sniff me, let them approach me at their own pace.

Hannah stayed in our home and watched our dog for a week. He is an older dog and needs medicine twice a day plus some extra TLC getting up and down steps or even the couch. She was wonderful! She was always in communication with me and sent pictures all the time which really put my mind at ease. She took such great care of him and our house too. I would highly recommend her!

Dominique completed his second house sit for my two pups (6 nights) and we continue to endorse him as a qualified / reliable sitter! Communication again proved to be consistent. Water bowls were full and my house was just how I left it. My large dogs are prone to acting out if they do not get enough attention (especially over long periods). It was great coming home and not seeing any indication of unsatisfied pups. Fully recommend!

Overall things went well. Dogs were not stressed when we arrived home after she dogsat our three dogs for two nights. She also swept the floors before leaving (which is something we said she didnt need to do as we know the Huskys cause explosions). My only thing would be communication, the inital communication was great, I wish she had communicated a bit more for our meet and greet as she was late, which is fine as she was at work but I had to be the one to reach out to find out what was going on. I also wish there was inital communication upon arrival and final communication when leaving. Even an overall on how the dogs were/how things went when she left for the final time. The dogs seemed happy though when we returned and that is my biggest concern, and im sure is the same for others.

Jordan was fantastic! She did a great job housesitting and taking care of our dog and other animals while we were away. Our dog is very anxious when separated from us, and hasn't done well boarding in the past. This was our first experience with a sitter in home, and Jordan made the process super easy! Winston loved her, Jordan kept us up to date with regular communication...I can't say enough good things! We'll definitely re-book with her in the future! Thanks Jordan!

I had Carolina do some dog sitting in my home while I was out of town and I could not be happier. She took great care of my senior dog, Joey. He had plenty of exercise and walks, was well loved, she kept him great company and treated him like he was her own. Joey has some medical issues and requires medications throughout the day and she was very diligent about following his schedule. She gave constant updates, pictures and videos, which was much appreciated. Carolina was extremely respectful of my home, and pretty sure my place looked better than when I left. The next time I need someone to look after my old guy, I hope Carolina is available, I highly recommend her.

She was exceptional with my baby, Molly. Molly is normally extremely slow to warm up to people but she immediately took to Genevieve. She kept me updated with pictures and texts, followed my instructions, and most of all kept my girl safe from a murderous wasp and loneliness while I rudely went on vacation without her. There’s nothing better than a cat sitter who loves your girl as much as you do.

About: As a dog lover my whole life, I wasn't able to get one of my own until a year and a half ago. Having our golden retriever Tommy has completely changed my life for the better! I absolutely love dogs of all kinds and enjoy being outdoors and playing with them. I work full time remotely, so I am extremely available and flexible to your schedule. I can accommodate any needs and have experience with both puppies and senior dogs, and everywhere in between. Tommy has been professionally trained and gets along great with other dogs. We are able to keep dogs in our apartment if needed, and have lots of parks and sidewalks near by for exercise. I currently work from home full time, so I am very flexible for your pets needs. I currently keep our golden retriever active (as he very much needs it!) and would love to add another dog to the bunch if needed. I live in an apartment but have lots of access to local parks and walking trails. I am available for drop-in visits and walks as well.

FAQs for House Sitting - Union Church

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 1,514 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Union Church. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Union Church walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Union Church maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Union Church choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Union Church. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
