âKai was extremely conscientious and a great sitter for my two pups. I appreciated her ability to connect with the dogs and keep me updated regularly. I will call her again!â

âThis was my first time leaving our puppy Fritz and first time using Rover. I couldnât be happier with our experience with Adrienne! I appreciated the daily check ins and pics/videos and I could tell that Fritz was happy and content and well cared for. I would recommend Adrienne and will use her again the next time we go out of town without the pup.â

âMichelle was absolutely amazing, she went above and beyond to ensure our nervous dog would be comfortable during her stay. She came over for multiple meet and greats prior to our trip, had amazing communication, and exceeded my expectations in every way!! I absolutely recommend Michelle for any of your pet care needs!!â

âMadolyn did an amazing job with our fur babies! You can see how much she loves animals with the way she interacts and cares for them. I hired Madolyn to house sit and watch our dogs. She gave regular updates on the girls, and took such good care of our home. This turned out to be a fantastic outcome, and I recommend Madolyn to anyone looking for a caring, respectful, and trustworthy sitter. We will definitely have Madolyn back!!!!â

âHeidi was amazing. She was very accommodating in terms of finding a time for a meet and greet. When my son decided he wanted to entertain her and have her attention as I showed her around, she was a great sport. She was super non-judgmental about the state of our house, and put me at ease. She was great with our pets while we were gone, and sent adorable photos. When we got home, I found that she had washed all of the odd dishes we hadnât had a chance to wash before we left. She also shoveled the walkway! I will absolutely be reaching out to her again, next time we go on vacation.â

âPatricia does a great job with our crazy cat! Would highly recommend if you need someone who provides special care for your pet. We donât worry if Patricia is there.â

âShe was exceptional with my baby, Molly. Molly is normally extremely slow to warm up to people but she immediately took to Genevieve. She kept me updated with pictures and texts, followed my instructions, and most of all kept my girl safe from a murderous wasp and loneliness while I rudely went on vacation without her. Thereâs nothing better than a cat sitter who loves your girl as much as you do.â

âMaya was so great with our two dogs! Sheâs incredibly trustworthy, kind, helpful, and communicative. Her dog, Mello, is also such a gem. We really appreciated all her help over the long weekend, and would rebook in a heartbeat!â

About: Iâve taken care of French bulldogs since I was 16 years old. I tend bond quickly with animals and have patience with animals that are aggressive or overly anxious. Iâve good with cats and dogs, as well as exotic pets like ferret's. I am currently working a full time job, and am also a college student dispite this I am quite good about time management. I care for my own cat and frequently help out with my sisters dogs that need to be walked and watched. When previously working for her I take the dogs for average of 3 walks one in the morning, then afternoon, then night. When it comes to pet care I will be able to do basically anything needed. If an animals needs to be put in the crate I am easily able to do so. If a pet were to get dirty I am good with cleaning if needed. I am a very determined individual who can cut stubborn animals nails if needed, but I also am good with animals who have issues. As I have experience with owning an aggressive dog myself.
âAmber is fantastic! Very reliable, sends photos of our fur babies and updates throughout her stay. She is a great house sitter and leaves our home as it was when we left. I highly recommend Amber if you are in need of a caring, considerate, and excellent communicator to watch your dogs. đ đžđŠľâ

âJack did a great job with my two dogs. He quickly scheduled a meet and greet to discuss our house and what our dogs would need. One of my dogs is old, a little anxious and does not allow many people to pet him. Jack was very patient with him and by the end of the weekend, Rudi felt comfortable enough to let Jack pet him. Jack was also very responsive and sent several pictures of the dogs over the weekend. Everything in the house was also in good order when we returned from our weekend. I would highly recommend Jack for house and dog sitting.â

âAlex is great with animals, respectful, kind, caring and compassionate. She is great with communication and made me feel like my pets were being well cared for. Highly recommend!â

About: Hello! I study Vet Science at UW Madison and have extensive experience in both dog and cat humane societies, kennels, and have had dogs my whole life and cats for 3 years now. My dogs Jojo and Jagger are very energetic, and Indy is my tortie and the love of my life :) I tend to work weekends at my families business but can change my availability based on how familiar I get with your pet(s). I am always available to talk and will respond quickly to messages! I love to engage with pets and learn their body language, I will always have a ball or stick while walking your dog, but also understand when they need a break. My priority is making them feel as at home as possible, while earning experience in the field I love. I have patience for both cats and dogs, and will watch carefully to not over pet, play, or initiate with shy animals. Tell me more about your pet to help me help them be as comfortable as they can be!
About: I've been around animals my whole life! Family and friends have trusted me to feed, walk, play with, and care for their pets, both cats and dogs. I also worked for Wag, which I thoroughly enjoyed and learned so much about caring for pets. My schedule is extremely flexible and I only work part time, so I can care for your pets at almost any time of day, especially mornings and afternoons. In a client's home, the pets are in a familiar environment with an unfamiliar person. So, the first thing I do is give the pets a chance to get used to me! Let them sniff me, let them approach me at their own pace.
About: As a dog lover my whole life, I wasn't able to get one of my own until a year and a half ago. Having our golden retriever Tommy has completely changed my life for the better! I absolutely love dogs of all kinds and enjoy being outdoors and playing with them. I work full time remotely, so I am extremely available and flexible to your schedule. I can accommodate any needs and have experience with both puppies and senior dogs, and everywhere in between. Tommy has been professionally trained and gets along great with other dogs. We are able to keep dogs in our apartment if needed, and have lots of parks and sidewalks near by for exercise. I currently work from home full time, so I am very flexible for your pets needs. I currently keep our golden retriever active (as he very much needs it!) and would love to add another dog to the bunch if needed. I live in an apartment but have lots of access to local parks and walking trails. I am available for drop-in visits and walks as well.
âOverall things went well. Dogs were not stressed when we arrived home after she dogsat our three dogs for two nights. She also swept the floors before leaving (which is something we said she didnt need to do as we know the Huskys cause explosions). My only thing would be communication, the inital communication was great, I wish she had communicated a bit more for our meet and greet as she was late, which is fine as she was at work but I had to be the one to reach out to find out what was going on. I also wish there was inital communication upon arrival and final communication when leaving. Even an overall on how the dogs were/how things went when she left for the final time. The dogs seemed happy though when we returned and that is my biggest concern, and im sure is the same for others.â

âI couldnât be happier with the care our three small dogs received from Abigail! They were clearly loved and well looked after â happy and relaxed when we returned. Communication was excellent, with regular updates and photos that gave us total peace of mind. Our dogs can be a handful, but they were calm and content thanks to the patient, attentive care. Absolutely a **5-star experience** â weâll definitely be booking again!â

âWe were extremely pleased with the diligent care Monica provided for our 4-year-old Miniature Australian Shepherd. She did an excellent job not only watching Jaco, but also taking great care of our home while we were away. It gave us real peace of mind knowing everything was in such good hands. We would absolutely use Monica again and highly recommend her to others.â

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Raymond
Booked Madolyn for a 3 night stay. The house was in great condition, dogs seem fine when we got back. Overall I would have liked better communication. Received one picture the first night, one the next morning but no other updates for the stay. She let me know she would be later than booked start time, but was ultimately even later than that. She also planned to leave 5 hours earlier than the booked end time, and I'm not sure she would have said anything if I had not brought it up. This left me scrambling to book another rover the morning of to drop in to avoid 10+ hours my dogs would have gone without a potty break.

FAQs for House Sitting - Raymond
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 1,544 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Raymond. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitterâs presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Raymond walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your homeâs security or appliances.
Itâs helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Raymond maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate theyâll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your petâs profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Raymond choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Raymond. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
