“Where to start??? Jessica is awesome!!! She made my first time using Rover a very comfortable experience. I have a Min Pin named Cairo that happens to be energetic and super clingy; naturally I was worried about him being a hyper menace but I was relieved to hear from Jessica a day in that he was settled in and already having fun. The updates I were provided were timely and appreciated - always good to know your baby is safe, happy, and well taken care of. I provided Jessica with everything she might’ve needed to ensure a good stay for Cairo and she followed everything to the T! I can’t continue raving about how great Jessica is with the pups. I am extremely pleased. Cairo will be back to hang out with his new friend!!”

“Working with Julia and Colin was our first Rover experience and we could not be happier with how it went! Julia is extremely communicative and made the process easy. Our dog took to them very quickly and we could tell she was made comfortable in their home. We look forward to booking with them again!”

“Elizabeth and her family took really good care of my boy soap. They sent pics every day and updated text messages. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the care that they showed my fur baby and he had the time of his life also. I think he didn’t want to leave when I came to pick him up. Thank Elizabeth and family for taking such good care of my boy soap.”

“Kim (and her husband Tom) are the best sitters. Kim is very responsive, communicative, and truly seems to enjoy all of her dog visitors. She has a fenced-in yard, and pets of her own that just go with the flow. Don't like her too much though because I want her to be available for ME! Ha!”

“Mitch was very accommodating with my last minute booking request. After a quick meet and greet, I left my 4 year old pup in good hands for an overnight stay. Mitch has a nice big fenced in yard for the dogs to play, he was very responsive with his communication and provided photo updates. Would definitely recommend.”

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs all my life. I grew up showing dogs, both my family dogs and others. My family back home currently has three dogs, each a different size, from small to large, so I have experience with all sizes. I live in a great area for casual walks, with a dog park and a small lake nearby for the pups that are allowed to swim! I work full-time, in-office Monday through Thursday and from home on Fridays. I take daily walks around my neighborhood in the evening. On weekends, I love exploring a new coffee shop and walking trail or just a longer walk in the areas near me. I’d love to bring your pet along with me on walks and for downtime on the couch afterwards! I don’t have a fenced yard, but there is a dog park where your pup can run freely. Outside of that, we have open grass areas where we can walk. All pups are welcome on furniture at my place and are welcome to enjoy the space as their own. I do have a patio that they’re more than welcome to sit outside and enjoy with me.
“We met Jennifer on a meet and greet and loved her. She ask a lot of questions about my dog and his routine. She responded quickly to text messages and always sent us updates and pictures of how Cooper was doing. I felt very confident in her caring for my dog. I would highly recommend her. We have a senior dog that had to take medication and she was fine with it. We will continue to ask her to care for cooper.”

“Daniel was fantastic!!! He was quick to communicate, arranged a meet and greet with our three crazy pups, and was a hit with our pack! I was out of state for work when my husband dropped off pups to join me. Daniel sent photos of happy pack before my hubby even made it to the airport. He quickly learned the personalities of our fur babies and treated them as his own. They were all happy amd tired when they returned home at the end of the weekend. THANK YOU DANIEL!!!”

About: I have been taking care of dogs and cats ever since I can remember. I have been in charge of feeding/walking to bathing and playing with animals. I always have 3 day weekends! This means you can go on your weekend getaway and I'll give your fur baby all the attention they need! I treat every animal as my own. I will never put them in a harmful situation. In my own home, I have ample space for them to run and play. In the clients home, I am respectful of their rules and will treat their pet as well as they do!
“Sarah and her family provided constant updates of my dog throughout the week. Her daughters seemed really engaged and loving on my dog, making me feel confident she was receiving all the love and affection she gets at home. When I picked her up, my dog seemed so relaxed, almost as if she hadn’t been gone all that time, helping me feel confident she was safe and loved on. Usually after boarding in a facility, my dog is highly anxious, extra agitated and disheveled. None of that here with Sarah. Her and her family were truly the best sitters. I never worried once while away.”

“Laura did a great job with my pup again! I know that he is well cared for and safe when she is taking care of him. He always has a great time with her dog Diesel and goes on nice walks. I love how he always comes back to me good and tired! I highly recommend Laura and I will definitely be using her again!”

“Brian and Mary took great care of Rosey, as always! I feel so comfortable leaving her with them and appreciate all of the photos while we’re away! Thank you!!!!”

“Paul did an amazing job watching our pup! He "warned' us that he would try to exceed our expectations, and no question he absolutely did. We loved all the updates with photos, and the numerous offsite visits to parks was so fun to see. So comforting while we were such a long distance away. We'd recommend Paul to anyone!”

“Booking with Marie was a breeze! We had a quick chat to iron out the details, and I felt totally at ease leaving Gandalf in her care for our extended getaway. Throughout his stay, Marie sent us a few check-ins and adorable pics—Gandalf looked like he was living his best life! When we went to pick him up, it was clear just how much he loved his time with Marie—he didn’t even want to leave at first! He came home happy, tired, and slid right back into our routine, which speaks volumes about how comfortable he felt with her. Huge thanks to Marie for taking such great care of our little pooch!”

“Jenn did a great job with our old pup, Dexter. She was patient with him and kept him busy and comfortable. We could tell she genuinely cared about him, which gave us great peace of mind. As did the photos and updates she sent. We would definitely recommend her to anyone needing a dog sitter!”

“Missy was wonderful to work with. She was highly communicative, helpful, and our dogs absolutely loved her. I would recommend her to anyone looking to have their pet watched. Thank you Missy!!”

Jenn was fantastic taking our Walther in for a long weekend. She had so much love for him, and she really understood how to approach a dog and build up a connection with them. Walther was so happy, and actually was going back and forth with us and her when we came to pick him up... A sign of his comfort level. We will definitely call Jenn again.

Amy was absolutely amazing with Rylo! ❤️ I’m so thankful we were able to do a meet-and-greet with Annalise and Rylo beforehand because they played so well together. Rylo can be overly hyper at times, but Amy and her family did such a great job with him and kept me updated throughout his five-day stay. I really appreciated being able to arrange an early drop-off since I had an early flight the next morning. This was my first time ever having someone watch Rylo, so I was a little nervous, but Amy made me feel so comfortable knowing he was in safe hands. She kept me updated while I was away, and it was such a relief knowing he was happy and doing well. Amy and her family truly did an amazing job taking care of Rylo. I’m so thankful for them and will definitely be booking with her again in the future! 🐾❤️

Angela provides a safe, friendly stay for Skye when we are traveling. We are so appreciative to have someone who loves her animal friends so much. She gives us the reassurance that Skye will have a wonderful experience vacationing with her own canine and feline friends.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
