“Dan and Holly watched our Beagle/Mix Zeus last week. We picked him up last night and I’m pretty sure he already wants to go back. He slept like a baby last night. Within 5 minutes of meeting Dan and Holly, I knew they would take care of our little guy. I never once worried. His check in process is thorough which I like, he really wants to make sure he understands your pups needs and personality. We are so grateful we found them. We have already booked them again for our next trip.”
“Zach was great! I really appreciate he receives one client per booking, that was helpful for my anxious dog. They loved being couch potatoes and going to the outside to play and hunt invisible animals. My dogs felt at home really fast! Also he was willing to learn a couple of commands in Spanish to communicate with my mexican dogs ❤️.”

“Becky was the best caregiver we found in the Milwaukee area for our pups. She is very communicative and gave our dogs the specific care they needed (one gets pretty anxious in new environments). We have hired her for single day care, an overnight, and a week-long trip out of state. She has a large backyard for the dogs to play in and lots of comfortable beds to rest for when they come inside. Most of all, we appreciate her daily pictures and updates. Highly recommend!”

“Kim did such a wonderful job caring for my pup, even when he was a bit hard to handle right away. She was communicative and transparent and worked hard to make sure that he was active, comfortable, and well-loved. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her services.”

“Yolanda was such a blessing to me and my Rottweiler, Riley! Upon arrival to pickup, Riley was very comfortable with Yolanda and her husband. They made her feel like she was part of the family. Yolanda was gracious enough to accept my request for boarding Riley on a holiday weekend and even agreed to keep her an extra hour later on short notice without charge. I would definitely want Riley to be in Yolanda's care for any future boarding needs.”

“Riley had such a great experience, and I truly can’t say enough good things. Communication was amazing from start to finish, and she was so flexible when our flights changed, which took a huge weight off my shoulders. She even sent pictures without us asking which we absolutely loved and really appreciated. Her kids and mother were incredibly kind and Riley also got along so well with their dog, Annalise. Riley isn’t around other dogs very often, so I was a little nervous, but they did great together and it made me so happy to hear how well she adjusted. Honestly, the whole experience felt so comfortable… like I’ve known them for a long time. That says a lot when you’re trusting someone with your dog. I would absolutely use them again without hesitation. I think Riley may have even found herself a new best friend 🐾”

“I can't be thankful enough. He was not only perfect in taking care of my 8 month old puppy, he was flexible in timing as well if you want an ease of mind I do 100% recommend him.”

“Elizabeth and her family took great care of our dog for 3 nights! We appreciated the photo updates and thoughtful communication. Would definitely recommend Elizabeth to anyone needing a reliable and caring dog sitter!”

“Michelle was great, she took care of my dog George for several days while I was out of town. She texted me how he was doing and sent pictures which gave me a lot of peace of mind because initially I was a little nervous about leaving. You can tell Michelle loves dogs and they love her back!”

“Yshonda was such a kind and knowledgable sitter for Poppy. She was great at managing Poppy’s medication schedule and sent cute videos throughout her stay! Poppy came home happy along with a goodie bag of doggie gifts, she’s already looking forward to her next sleepover with Yshonda!”

“Ester did such a good job with our Golden Retriever! We reached out last minute and she was so accommodating. Quick response time, and Tucker had a blast. 🐾💗”

“Alyssa is absolutely fantastic! I was kind of worried leaving Maggie with someone i didn't know but after I met her at our meet and greet and toured her house and talked to her I was 100% sure that I had found the person I was absolutely comfortable leaving my Maggie with. She was so genuine and sent me pictures and videos during Maggie's stay. Thank you Alyssa!”

“Thank you, Mary and family, for letting Bud stay with you! The pictures of him with all the visiting pups were great to see! Lots of familiar friends and lots of love from you and your family. Bud and I love all of you and appreciate how awesome you are to us! Just like an extended family.”

“Samantha and her husband were absolutely wonderful! Took my very last minute request, and helped me navigate my first Rover experience effortlessly. They were so kind in their care of our pup, sending photos and updates. I’m so impressed with this experience & will definitely be using them in the future for dog sitting if possible ❤️”

“Sherry is fantastic!! She is so attentive, responsive, and treats our little fur baby with so much kindness and love! 🩷 I really appreciate all the pictures and updates during our dog’s stay with her! We will absolutely be booking with Sherry again! ☺️”

“Our puppy had a great first time with Doreen. She sent daily updates and photos to keep us up to date with how he was doing. We felt very comfortable leaving our puppy with Doreen for the weekend”

About: I have had dogs of my own since I was 9 years old. I LOVE dogs--especially small ones! I have trained all of my dogs. I board friends' dogs in my home all the time, and am now excited to move into boarding strangers' dogs here on Rover! I work full-time, a mix of in-office and at home. I work from home on Thursdays and have flexibility on Fridays, so it works best for me to be able to provide boarding on long weekends (Thursday-Sunday). I am happy to provide your pet with seamless care and match what they are used to in your home. I have a large yard and a quiet neighborhood. My home has many rooms and I have some gates so that I can separate pets if needed. I also have a puppy play pen for smaller/younger pups who need their own space.
The median cost per night for pet boarding in Wauwatosa is $45

Andrew took wonderful care of my dog on two separate occasions, and both experiences were excellent. He was reliable, communicative, and made it easier being away. My dog was happy, well cared for, and comfortable with him. Andrew kept me updated with messages and photos, which I really appreciated. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter.
Sierrah is such a kind and caring sitter. Her communication is clear and she's very responsive. She took such great care of my husky and provided picture and updates. Thank you Sierrah for being flexible with my schedule and taking care of Snow! I would definitely book Sierrah again for boarding services.

Max and his girlfriend took great care of my pup!! She loved having other dogs to play with. Max has a wonderful personality and vibe. He is very compassionate and you can tell has a spot in his heart for dogs. My pup had a ton of time playing outside, took walks and had a park adventure. Max is accommodating and was happy go alloys my pup to relax on the furniture and most importantly sleep/snuggle up in bed at night. Would HIGHLY recommend anyone to Max gor dog sitting.

I would highly recommend Katharine and Michael. They were very caring kind and knowledgeable. They sent a picture or video every day and walked my dog and cared for her. My dog thrived with them and their family. I would definitely rebook with them on our next trip.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
