About: I’ve had dogs as part of the family my entire life. I was the trainer of of all our puppies while I was growing up. Now I have two dogs, one with special needs and the other that needs extensive training with reactivity. I can manage medications, reactive walkers, as well as give as many belly rubs and head scritches as needed! I have cared for dogs from puppy to senior. I currently have a remote job that has a lot of flexibility. My schedule does vary and is rather accommodating. I will have my calendar updated accordingly for availability. At this time I will only be providing services at your home since I do have a reactive pup at mine. Also due to that, I will be only providing drop ins and walks.
About: I grew up on a farm with all different types of indoor and outdoor animals, (besides cats and dogs obviously!) so I am a huge animal lover! I am excited to use rover as a way to explore new places and neighborhoods! I am taking a gap year and traveling full time, pet sitting is a way for me to make a little money in each city I stop in. (Milwaukee right now) I would love to spend my time seeing new pets and visiting local parts of the city! In your home, I promise to be very respectful of your space and your pets. I will do my best to get on the same level as your pets; if they want to play I will play, but if they are skittish I will be patient and give them space. I am very punctual, I hate being late for walks or mealtimes for animals. I also don't mind cleaning up after your pet if they shed or make any sort of mess!
“Sydney was the best!!! She went above and beyond to keep me updated on our pets! And our dog Rigby loved her on their walks together! I definitely will be using Sydney again in the future!!!”

“My little Mario 🐾 gets excited when I tell him Kathy is coming to walk him. She took him for a car ride and to the park for an extra fun time. I got a full report on how my little guy is doing and I’m so happy Kathy takes such good care while I’m away.”

“Krystal has done a fantastic job taking our high-energy dog on walks. She’s prompt and shares details about how things went afterwards. She’s also been great about following any specific instructions or requests. I feel very confident leaving our dog in her care and highly recommend her.”

“I really appreciated Elizabeth's willingness to do a meet and greet before the first walk. She was super patient and understanding with my anxious pup. Would recommend!”

About: After graduating from Harvard, I moved from the Northeast to Wisconsin to train for speed skating. I grew up as a critter kid: my dad was a veterinarian and my mom worked in science museums, so I was raised around all sorts of animals, from birds, axolotls, and geckos to furry dog and cat companions. Since my move, I have been "dog-lonely" and am looking to show your animals some love. My family has always had huskies, so I am comfortable around big, goofy, energetic, and sometimes stubborn dogs. I love taking dogs for walks, but even more so, running with them if they are able. As a professional photographer, I also offer pet photography so you can keep permanent memories of your scaley, feathered, and furry family members. I am a speed skater, so my days consist of morning and evening workouts. I'm available during the day (10am-3pm) and evenings (after 7pm) to take care of your pets. I will always ask for a meet and greet before caring for your pets. My pet care will occur in your home and neighborhood. For walks, I will only take one household's dogs for a walk at a time. I can follow detailed instructions to a T and will maintain your animal's routines while you're away. I can be counted on in an emergency and know what a vet emergency looks like, and you can expect clear and timely communication from me around the care and health of your animals.
About: I have experience caring for a variety of animals of different ages, sizes, and temperaments. I am comfortable with post-op care and administering medications. I will care for your pets as if they are my own! I am available most mornings (before 6 am), evenings (6-9 pm), Fridays, and weekends! I am interested in taking dogs for walks, drop-in visits for dogs and cats, and overnight stays to care for pets in their homes. The care and safety of your pets and home are extremely important to me, as a pet parent to four kitties, a fish, and a snail. I am happy to adhere to your preferences and requests for your pet’s comfort and safety.
“Mary is great with our 10 month old Brittany! I’m impressed with her enthusiasm and she is a quick learner of his routines! She is helping us work on training which is so helpful. I would highly recommend Mary!”

“Michelle was a lifesaver for a last minute booking. Great correspondence, timely arrival and excellent skills with my dog. Will definitely book again. Thank you!”

“Amy is great with my pup. I met with her before she started walking Basil and immediately felt comfortable with how good she was with her. She has a flexible schedule and walks Basil during the work day a few days a week. Basil is young and full of energy and Amy is able to get out some of her energy while I am at work. She sends me photos and updates after each walk. I will definitely keep using her regularly and would recommend her to friends and family for their dogs!”

About: I am a true animal lover at heart! My family always owned dogs growing up, I adopted my own, Bear, in 2017 and my cat Luna (aka Tuna) in 2021. After recently losing Bear unexpectedly, I’m hoping to help heal my heart and get some puppy love by offering walks and drop-in visits to your babies! Prior to adopting Luna, I offered in-home boarding for many years through Rover. Unfortunately she’s not a fan of having other dogs around, otherwise we’d still be offering that service. I also worked at a doggy daycare during college because I loved dogs so much, and I wanted to spend time with them even though I couldn't get one at the time. This obviously provided me with lots of experience in handling multiple dogs! I promise to love your furbaby like my own and provide lots of pictures and updates :) I work remotely on Monday/Thursday/Friday so I’m available for drop-ins or walks during the workday! Would love to arrange regular services over lunch time. As some who believes that pets are family, I promise to do everything in my power to keep your pets safe under my care. When I have hired Rover services myself, I love to receive lots of pictures and updates from my sitters, so I promise to do the same for you!
About: First and foremost, I’m a queer yoga teacher in the area and I haven’t used this account in least two years 😬 I’ve been surrounded by animals my whole life. At four, my family started fostering cats (mamas and kittens were my faaaav) and I would help out as much as I could. Yes, I did try to name a kitten Washcloth. No, my mom did not let it stand. This love for animals carried forward throughout my youth with four cats, a German Shepard mix, a malamute, a boxer and pit. My house was always full and as the Aries eldest daughter that I am I always was the first to help out. I got a cat as soon as I could when I moved out on my own and about seven years ago I got a rescue pup of my own. I also have a Rottweiler who I helped raise and train from 7 weeks old. I dedicated so much time to gently training both of them and just pouring love into them. I can definitely help with training and love working with dogs on walking well on leash. I also really believe in positive reinforcement for your pets - they just want to make us proud. Truly a universal desire. I love long walks with dogs and lots of coregulation calm time. Trust that your babies will be treated like they are family. I am a yoga teacher and teach about 10 classes per week. Other than that I work remotely from my computer, so I can flex my time. I really value a slow paced life, so being able to really take my time and go for walks/hikes, cooking a gourmet dinner at home for myself and cuddling up with a good book. I have always been a very regimented, schedule following pet owner. I think it helps create consistency and eases anxiety for animals. Routines help animals thrive. I think frequent bathroom breaks are important. Long walks early in the day before the world is busy and it gets too hot in the summer are a priority. I also really love snuggling up and just having quiet, calm time with pets. I am happy to follow whatever guidelines/special requests pet parents have. I know how important it is to keep things consistent for pets! There’s never any judgement from me!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Wauwatosa
We had to be away on a trip longer than we wanted to be, but our sweet Willow pup and three cats were in the BEST hands with Mallory. We got such awesome updates with photos and fun summaries of their adventures/walks. This was our second time with Mallory and she put us at such ease being far from home. We are all so blessed for her heart of gold and her priceless time. 🙏

Olivia is absolutely amazing! She walked our dog Rumi for a week and made us feel completely at ease. She’s incredibly reliable, prompt and communicative, sending lots of updates and pictures. She went above and beyond, taking him on great long walks (rain or shine!) and even wiping his paws after it rained. Rumi loved his midday sniffing breaks and we loved how trustworthy she is. Highly recommend and we’ll definitely use her again!

Kelsey is the best! She was responsive from the moment I reached out and took the time to learn all of our dogs quirks. Our dog can be a bit reactive, but she already had experience with that, which was incredibly reassuring while we were away. She was patient and great with him, and we came home to a well loved and tired boy. Highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
