“If I could leave more than 5 stars I would. Kathy is super nice & easy to work with, from booking to the actual drop ins to retrieving the spare key post-trip. She goes above and beyond, and I know my little cat is in good hands whenever I'm gone.”

“Julia did a fantastic job taking care of our Callie during one weekend. She was attentive to her needs and also flexible for feedings and medication administration. She helped us out last minute and made us feel at ease that she was taken care of. Highly recommend her to take care of your fur baby! They will be in excellent hands!”

“Michelle is fantastic! Anyone would be lucky to have her care for your animals. We will be using her again! She does great with my super energetic puppy, post lots of pictures and updates!”

“She was amazing, my cats really enjoyed her visits and she was very good about sending the cutest pictures and giving me updates which is so nice when far from my little kitties. Definitely would book her again.”

About: I have had a dog of my own for nine years and think I would be a great fit to take care of your animal. I know what to do in different situations with dogs and cats because I have babysat dogs and cats before. I have a lot of free time to properly take care of your animals. I am willing to spend more time and really make sure your satisfied with my visit. I spend time taking them for walks, grooming them, and just spending time with them. I love exercising my dog and making sure he gets treats for his good behavior.
“Liz was amazing! She was so sweet to our two cats and took excellent care of them. She also took her son over to visit them one night and he was great with them. Can’t recommend her enough, we are immediately rebooking for our next weekend trip.”

About: I have a diverse experience of taking care of dogs. One of my previous jobs was working in a dog daycare/kennel where I took care of dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I have been a dog walker and sitter for many years now, and have been around dogs my whole life! I currently own a mini poodle puppy! I am currently a full time student and can help walk your dog on weekends, holidays, and some odd days throughout the week. My schedule does change, so I can’t provide consistent care, but would love to help out when I can! I take dog walking very seriously, and make sure that the dog’s safety is prioritized. It make sure to be very observant of the dog’s surroundings and temperament, and will be ready to pivot whenever necessary. Communication is very important to me, so I am as prepared as possible for every situation.

About: I have been around animals in my family my whole life and have always enjoyed taking care of them and keeping them entertained. I have been working at Central Bark Doggy Daycare for 5 months and have experience with lots of breeds! I am currently working part time, and am on summer break from school, I'd like to spend my free time taking care of as many pups as possible. I live with my parents and pets of my own so my house is not available for pet care. But when I am in a clients home I always leave it just as neat as I left it. I would prefer if I knew where all cleaning supplies are in order to clean up any pet messes!
About: I've had multiple dogs over the last 30 years. Mainly Bull Mastiffs, Border Collie Mix, and multiple Pitties. We lately have been adopting older dogs to give them the best end of life possible. For friends I've watched many smaller to larger dogs, comfortable with all. I have experience with all sorts of meds and care, although I prefer to stay away from anything with needles when possible. We've been to the vet more times than I can count, and have gotten good at understanding/reading dog behavior and signs of distress. I have experience with all soft of personalities...shy or alpha, lazy or rambunctious, etc. I like to understand them and work with them where they are at so they enjoy themselves and are happy. I'm a pretty calm presence and in general dogs trust me right away. My wife will joke that I am a dog whisperer as dogs tend to follow my lead easily, but I think it is simply being confident and projecting that you are there to take care of them. I have a very flexible work schedule and am home most of the time. I only have 1 dog right now (Oscar, 82 lb Pitty who loves everything and everyone...he walks around with soft toys like they are his dolls), but will likely be back to 2 in the near future. I walk my pup(s) pretty much every day. We live near Hart Park and the Oak Leaf Trail so getting out to walk along the river/parks is very easy. New to doing this formally rather than just for friends. Normally watch friends dogs at their place. If we take care of your pup in our home, we will always have 1+ pups that will be other-dog friendly. My wife and I have a small Tosa home but fully fenced-in yard to be able to let them out at any time day or night without worry. We have a small main floor but it has 3-4 dog beds and multiple toys (prefer dogs who are ok with soft toys, as our pup(s) don't rip those up. Will likely prefer caring for your pup in your home, it simply mitigates the crowding in the house and any potential conflicts. If I look after any cats, those would be at your house. We no longer have cats and aren't prepped for that in any way.
“Sydney connected with Leo very well on our meet and greet, which is hard to do because of his age and anxiety. From the photos she shared they had a good first visit.”

“Emily took great care of my three kitties while I was gone. She was wonderful at communicating and following the instructions I left. The litter area is clean and she watered my plants! I highly recommend her for your pet care. A+++”

“Leilani is an amazing sitter. She keeps me updated, ends pictures and loves on my little guy, noticing changes in his behavior and demeanor but most importantly, he knows he too and feels comfortable with her :)”
About: I’ve been a dog owner for many years and now have two sweet cats that my kids absolutely adore. I miss having a dog in the house, so I love the chance to care for other people’s pups. Your pets will get plenty of exercise, attention, and love—treated just like part of our family while you’re away. On Fridays I work from home, which means I get to spend extra time with your pets. My routine includes morning potty breaks or playtime, a midday walk for fresh air and exercise, and plenty of cuddle or play breaks in between. In the evenings, I make sure pets get another walk or play session before settling in. I love having a furry buddy around while I work—it keeps me moving and makes the day brighter. Your pets will feel right at home here. I have a spacious house with a yard and a friendly neighborhood that’s perfect for walks. My two cats are used to being around dogs, and my children adore animals and know how to be gentle and safe with them. It’s a warm, caring environment where your pets will be loved, comfortable, and well cared for until you return.

“Grateful for Aiden and all she did for us while we were out of town. It was a relief to know my cat was so well cared for and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Aiden to anyone. I'm not even sure my cat is happy we're back - I think she misses Aiden 😊.”

“Maiah is a great sitter, communication is excellent. Always sends a detailed summary of the visit and goes above beyond to make your pet have an enjoyable time. Highly recommend !”

“My first time using rover. Christina was great with my high energy/ attention hungry cat. Always sent cute pics and kept me updated. I will be asking for her again the next time I’m out of town!”

“I’ve had a great experience with Ana! My dogs liked her immediately during our meet and greet, and I could tell she knew her way around bigger dogs. Communication was super straightforward and fast - she even asked how often I want updates, which I really appreciate. Ramses was very relaxed when I came home after Ana’s visit. I’ll definitely be booking her again!”

About: I’ve taken care of many animals of family and friends and always insured to give them so much love during those even small, short visits! I grew up with dogs, and when I was able to have a pet of my own, I got a very large orange cat! I’m comfortable around all dogs and I am willing and wanting to adapt to the needs of your furry friends. My time will be towards making your pet as comfortable and is happy as can be whether that is going on walks or even going to the park. I was previously available throughout June but since beginning a new job, I will be available on the weekends/weekday mornings/weekday evenings for drop-ins and walks! Just let me know what you need! When in your home, I would love to take your furry friend on a walk, to the park, or anything else that you do that makes your pet comfortable and happy!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Wauwatosa
Jill was extremely kind and professional. My cat is honestly pretty rude to sitters. Jill was great at noticing her body language, giving my cat her space, and even finding her when she managed to get into an unusual hiding space. She's a great and reliable caregiver for your pets!

Kaitlin was amazing! She took great care of our kitties while we were out of town. Her communication was stellar. She took the initiative to bring in some mail and a package that snuck through before we asked her to. Highly recommended! We would definitely book with Kaitlin again!
We had a super positive experience with Danielle. She was friendly, prompt, and took excellent care of our cat over Christmas. You can tell she truly enjoys getting to know your pet and takes great pride in treating them as if they were her own. Thank you Danielle!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
