“Bria was great with our dog Mallie! We really appreciated her picking up a last minute request from us & taking the time to meet Mallie beforehand. She communicated quickly and left detailed feedback on her visit while we were out, which gave us peace of mind that our baby was in good hands. Will definitely be working with Bria again!!”

“Ilene was fantastic and went above and beyond my expectations which is so greatly appreciated! Ilene’s communication and timeliness is perfect and even provided me with adorable pics & videos of playtime with Rozz which warmed my heart while I was away. About: From family pets, growing up on a farm, pet sitting in college, to multiple years taking care of animal ambassadors as a naturalist, I've been working with and caring for critters of all sorts for nearly as long as I can remember! For critters in the pet category, I have been caring for indoor cats since 2018, from kittens to seniors and every stage in between, including administering medications. My family has had medium/large dogs (rottweilers, labs, and border collie and boxer mixes) my whole life but I have also pet sat for smaller breeds like Boston terriers and cavalier king Charles spaniels. My time as a naturalist gave me experience working with not only varied species, but varied personalities. From grumpy skunks to mischievous snakes and dramatic birds, I have extensive experience across the gambit. It also provided experience with very specific care instructions and detailed documentation. I like to provide pet parents with a thorough summary of my time with their pet so they don't have to worry while they're away. My schedule varies week to week from periods of no availability to periods of open availability, I will make sure to keep things updated so you know what to expect! In fall of 2025, I finished my 2,200+ mile thru hike of the Appalachian Trail. What does that mean for pet care? I LOVE to walk and do so whenever I get the chance! I would love to have your pet join me! I am very detail oriented and will follow your care instructions to a T! I also provide my pet parents a detailed summary of my visit for peace of mind, every time!
“Katie was an awesome sitter for our kitty! She and Winnie hit it off right away at their preliminary meeting. While we were out of town, Katie was prompt with her visits and thorough with her notes, and she sent lots of clear, high-quality photos. We highly recommend her services!”

“Travis helped us with hour-long drop in visits during the work day. We contacted him with short notice and he was quick to reply and help! Very friendly and professional, and he sent us great pictures of our pup.”

“Ana always takes great care of the pups, and keeps me in the loop with details and photos. They love her too - as they give her all the snuggles, which they don’t give out easily 😅😅”

“Nevaeh was awesome! She sent us text updates including pictures/videos the whole time giving us peace of mind. Our dog Mallie loved her! Would definitely recommend!”

About: I grew up with two cats and two dogs, so I’ve been around pets for most of my life! I got my own dog five years ago, and I have been taking care of her ever since. I love any and all types of pets, and I have am flexible with times and can accommodate mamy different schedules. Along with taking care of my own dog, I am available throughout the day to stop in and check on/walk dogs. I am also available any day to stay over as a sitter. My one and only priority would be taking care of your pet. I would never be intrusive or inappropriate in your home. I would treat it with the respect I would want from a sitter.

About: I have been a private walker in the past and I am joining rover to be part of a larger platform. I grew up with dogs of all kinds and love meeting new furry friends! I currently have a full-time job and I am available for pet care from 6-7:30am and after 4:30pm. I have lots of flexibility and availability on the weekends as well! I currently live in an apartment with two cats. I am happy to come to the pets home and help with whatever care is needed.
About: I recently moved here for school and miss having pets around after growing up around pets my whole life. Caring for animals is something that comes natural to me and I enjoy spending time with them. I try to be reliable, patient, and attentive as I understand pets are family. I currently only work part time and have an open schedule both weekdays and weekends. Once I start school in August my schedule will likely be available in afternoons and weekends exclusively. I care for pets in the home by keeping their routine consistent, giving them attention, exercise, and affection. All while making sure they are comfortable, safe, and stress free while you are away.
“Jessica was able to come on short notice and even cleaned up my puppies potty accidents on the carpet while helping to potty train. Thanks for watching my still in training puppy and also for taking the time to correct him and clean up after him. I will defiantly be hiring again!”

Hanna did an amazing job caring for our two cats while we were away on vacation. She was incredibly reliable, communicated regularly, and sent plenty of photos that gave us peace of mind while we were gone. It was clear our cats were well cared for and comfortable in her hands. This was our second time booking with Hanna, and we will absolutely be booking with her again in the future. Highly recommend!

Isaac is THE best cat sitter. My cat Sweets is always excited when he comes and visits when I have to go away for work or vacation. He’s super efficient, reliable and takes such great care of her each time he drops in to check on her. Highly recommend booking with Isaac!

Whitney was awesome with the two cats. The two cats were very comfortable with her. Nick and Sam can be challenging and Whitney kept us informed with clear communication. She was very caring towards the cats. I will definitely ask her to care for Nick and Sam again!

Jessica is amazing. She is very conscientious and caring. She has taken great care of my senior cat, Rosie. I’ve already booked her again. Her communication is timely and she is very prompt. So happy to have her. Real peace of mind when traveling knowing Jessica is caring for Rosie.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Shorewood. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
