About: Hi there! We are recently new residents to Milwaukee and the Lower East Side and we would love to make some new friends in the neighborhood! We have gained a lot of experience caring for a variety of different pets in Chicago for over a year on Rover before our move. I love any and all types of pets, and I have am flexible with times and can accommodate mamy different schedules. About: I helped raise my own two family dogs and ensured that they were always walked, bathed, fed, and happy. It's also a habit of mine to go take the extra step like wiping my dogs and make sure they are clean after they've been outside. I've also taken care of my neighbor's dogs alongside our own family dogs, so I have experience handling multiple pets at once. I work full-time, Monday through Friday, while working from home 2-3 days a week. I also go to workout classes in the evening. Normally, if working from home, I take the dogs out for a walk in the morning. On other days, I take them for a walk in the evening. I normally take pets out 3 times a day, once in the morning, afternoon, and night. I make sure the dogs have a dedicated spot for food and bed. I have both a park and a dog park, 5-10 minutes away from my apartment, which I can take the pets to for a walk or some dog play time. There are also multiple yard-like grass areas where the dogs are meant to do their business. If pets stay with me for longer than two weeks, I bathe them every other week.

About: I’ve had dogs all my life. I grew up with 6 other siblings and we always had animals around. I lost our beloved family dog about two years ago and I do not want to commit to raising another one since I like to travel. But on my down time, I am willing to walk your dog, spend time with them, and love them up as much as possible. I just recently got an apartment in Milwaukee to be closer to my family so I am looking for something to do and to help out an owner who may need it. I recently retired so I have a lot of flexibility, and a lot more time to spend at home and to care for your dog. It’s just me and my wife that live in the home and she would be available to help if needed. We live in the country on a one acre lot so your dog would have a big area to roam! About: I love animals, and I have been around and taken care of them since childhood, particularly dogs and cats. After moving to Chicago in 2017, I started walking and occasionally dog sitting for my friends’ companions. In addition, I will ensure your companion is hydrated, monitor their environment for safety concerns, and properly dispose of waste products. Regarding drop-in visits, I recognize the level of trust it takes to allow a new person into one’s home. Thus, prior to the first visit, I will always ask about comfort level in terms of gaining entry into the home and areas to access or avoid. In addition, I aim to familiarize myself with your companion’s routine, such as learning their feeding times (and making sure their water bowls are always full), preferred playtime activities and toys, and any special needs. I value good communication and frequently provide updates on their well-being and promptly address any concerns/behavioral observations. If a dog is anxious upon first meeting me, I ensure they have time to get to know me instead of jumping right into an activity, which includes being patient and slowly offering my hand for sniffing, speaking in a calm tone of voice, and not forcibly entering their space before they are ready.

I also forgot to book the walk before she was scheduled to stop in, but she still showed up and sent me a really nice reminder. I think there is something on the back-end of Rover that requires booking to happen first, but Melissa worked with Rover IT to get it sorted without me having to do anything. 10/10 would recommend. Also, we have a 90-lb Bernese Mountain Dog that can occasionally get pully and jumpy, and Melissa handled her just fine.”

About: Hi there! We are recently new residents to Milwaukee and the Lower East Side and we would love to make some new friends in the neighborhood! We have gained a lot of experience caring for a variety of different pets in Chicago for over a year on Rover before our move. Personally, both of our families owned dogs & cats throughout each of our childhoods which has given us a natural experience with pets as well. We look forward to the opportunity to meet your beloved dogs & cats! BOARDING CLIENTS: We have recently opened our services for boarding dogs in our apartment! I work remotely 5 days a week at home so your dog will have no shortage of attention and care! We are deeply considering getting our own dog soon, so we’re treating every boarding guest like our test run! Your pup will get all the love, structure, and attention we’re practicing for our future family member—plenty of walks, play, cuddles, and a calm apartment to call home while you’re away! Please ask us any questions you may have! Andrew works fully remote 5 days a week and the nature of my job is very flexible so I am able to step out if needed/when requested. Taylor is fully in office but may occasionally be available. Additionally, we’re particularly looking to use some of our free time we have on the weekends to care for some pets together! We want to earn your trust that your animals are safe with us, and respect your home & privacy in doing so. After our initial meeting with Monique I felt somewhat reassured as her place is well set up to care for dogs and Monique has a natural bond with them. About: I have taken care of dogs and cats of all ages and sizes, even dogs that can be leash, collar, and dog aggressive when walking. I am mostly available later in the week and weekends due to being a full time student, but have breaks in between my school days! There is a green area for dogs down the street from me and a quick 15 minute walk towards the lake for more walking paths!
About: I have grown up taking care of dogs and was lucky enough to be a mom to a sweet senior dog for 3 years. Currently I have two adopted cats who are the sweetest girls! I would love to care for your pet(s) and make them feel extra loved and safe while you’re away 🥰 I am available most days after work and most weekends to care for your dog or cat. I hope to make them feel comfortable and loved while you’re away! I will be able to feed your pet, practice any tricks that they know, and play with them. It’s important to me to create a positive relationship with them so they feel comfortable.
