“Laura is an Angel in HUMAN FORM!!! Her and her family did an exceptional job with our Onyx! She knew this was our first Rover experience and she went above and beyond to ensure that Onyx was comfortable. She provided thorough updates, pictures and videos. We knew she was in great hands from the moment of the meet and greet. Laura made our first Rover experience the absolute best !! We would love to have Laura sit for onyx for future trips !!”
“Amazing. Communicated daily and sent lots of pictures. She made adjustments to help my dog eat while being in a new environment. Will definitely be rebooking.”

“Sherry was so fantastic!! She took such great care of our girl Mona for the weekend, and provided lots of photos and updates. :) we would absolutely book with her again.”

“Marilynn was UNBELIEVABLE with my dog!! He’s a difficult rescue and she was aware of it, but gave him a chance. He doesn’t tolerate other dogs, but by the end of his 24 hour stay he was playing in the yard with several other dogs (all larger than him). I was in shock. She is truly the dog whisperer and I’d trust Todd with her any time. Thank you so much, Marilynn!!!! You truly do love pets. ❤️”

“Thank you, Fernando, for babysitting Bud!! It was an 'all boys weekend' which is right up Bud's alley! He came home relaxed and is asking when he can come back for more of the same! Thank you, Mary and gang, for Always taking such good care of Bud. PS: Fernando, thanks for the walk around the block!!”

“Laura did amazing with Romeo, she updated us everyday on how he was doing and was very responsive. Romeo was in very good hands. We would definitely use her again!”

“MJ takes good care of Dimitri. He messages us about Dimitri’s daily activities and his concerns during Dimitri’s stay! He makes sure Dimitri is healthy, eat and drink well. Will rebook again!”

“Brooke was top notch! She watched my dog Ned and took him in with open arms. He has epilepsy and requires medication and special needs/attention and I was so impressed with her care for him. He played with her other doggos, got brushed regularly, walked routinely, and he was overall loved at her place. I would recommend her to anyone! Thank you Brooke :)”

“It was really great experience with Brittany to take care of my Skye. Her regular updates, keep discuss if any queries about my dog. Many many thanks to take care of my dog so personally and professional way. I would love to leave my dog for my next visit and leave her confidently. See you soon in June.”

“Jennifer boarded our golden doodle, Scout, for a full week while our family was on spring break and did a fabulous job! We were all a bit nervous and sad to leave our pup, but we could easily see that Jennifer was very caring, tuned into our dogs routines and needs and all around easy to work with. It was easy to set up a "meet and greet" with Jennifer, and we really liked that she only takes one dog at a time (since our pup is pretty chill and prefers humans to being around lots of other dogs). Best of all, she was very communicative from the beginning, Aside from the "meet & greet" and the smooth booking, when we were gone she communicated daily with a picture and an update on how Scout was doing. Our whole family looked forward to those updates and it really did help us feel good to see our dog doing well in our absence. We will definitely be using Jennifer again!”

“My dog was apparently incredibly bad with Lauren (NOT HER WORDS. She was very sweet about telling me about his behaviors). Not because of her, but because of it being his first time being away from us and not knowing what to expect. She was patient and communicative with us. She sent a ton of pictures and videos and talked through any problems that's arose. I would definitely work with Lauren in the future.”

“She was absolutely amazing! Super reliable, kind, and treated my dog like her own. I felt totally at peace knowing my Theodore was in such good hands. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving dog sitter! She sends picture updates and is very responsive ❤️❤️❤️”

“We have taken Tucker here the past few years when our family goes up north & we feel so lucky to have found them! We get so many pictures & updates and each picture we get, Tucker looks relaxed, happy and like he’s having the best time! Thank you so much for taking such good care of Tuck…we’ll see ya next summer!”

“Daniel did an outstanding job keeping Brody comfortable, happy, healthy, and safe. Daniel is aware of the trauma Brody experienced at another (non-Rover) boarder's home. Daniel continues to provide an environment that meets Brody's needs.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Brookfield
Janice was so accommodating and lovely to our older dog, Lucy. We needed a low key place for our girl who is losing sight and hearing. Janice could not have been more understanding and communicative. She knows dogs and is willing to flex meet their needs. For instance, even though she has a great fenced yard, Lucy was more familiar with putting on her harness for a walk so Janice took care of that. Great pet care!

My dog was super excited as we drove up to María Carolina's place, like she recognized it! I know Daisy loves being there and especially getting to play and interact with their young daughter, because of the photos and stories they share. Daisy had people with her almost nonstop and the neighborhood is beautiful and quiet with big trees, green grass, and lots of space to walk and play.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
