About: My pet journey began in 2012 at a doggy daycare, where I learned to read and understand dogs better. This ignited my passion. Later, I adopted Miko in 2015, gaining insights into puppy training. I worked at Petco for 5 years and own or have owned a bird, fish, a cat, ferrets, a hamster, and dogs, expanding my expertise in pet care. In 2015, I became a certified dog trainer through Petco's positive dog training mentorship program. I attained a bachelors degree in animal behavior in 2018. Today, I work in the veterinary field, deepening my pet health knowledge. I've incorporated pet care seamlessly into my routine. Mid-day breaks during work hours allow me to tend to your pet's needs. Plus, with Fridays through Sundays off, I'm fully dedicated to providing additional care and attention, ensuring your pet's happiness and well-being. Caring for your pet in my home is all about ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Your pet will have regular outdoor time on a leash or tie-out. I also maintain crate training for those moments when I'm away, ensuring your pet's security and a controlled environment. In addition to these essentials, I believe in the power of play and interaction. Your pet will receive plenty of attention, playtime, and affection. I'll even make sure to add some quality playtime with my dogs, Mara and Zoey, to keep them happy and engaged. I'm here to attend to both you and your pet's needs, making their stay as enjoyable and stress-free as possible.

“We searched high and low for the right place and people to care for our dog Stella, and we could not be more grateful to have found Carol and Steve. Carol and Steve were ideal people with whom we could safely leave Stella. They have an incredibly well-maintained (and absolutely gorgeous) property of which the backyard is completely fenced in, which gave Stella plenty of time and space to run around and sniff to her heart's content. My husband and I were certain while we were gone that Stella was getting as much exercise and outdoor time as she wanted. This was a wonderful reassurance as we had never boarded her anywhere else before and were nervous that she'd have to be stuck in a kennel or a room for most of our absence. Not so once we found this wonderful couple! Carol and Steve followed our instructions for Stella to the letter and it was clear they were both very comfortable and at ease taking care of our dog. No issues whatsoever and we have absolutely nothing but positive things to say about our experience with them. Possibly the BEST part about having booked with Carol and Steve is their impeccable communication. We never - at any point - had to wait long for a response, whether we were asking a question or just communicating logistics regarding Stella's stay. They also made sure to send along regular update messages with pictures while we were gone, typically twice a day. This factor alone made this the most relaxing trip we've taken as a family to date. It gave us complete peace of mind to read and see that Stella was not only doing okay, but was being well taken care of, snuggled, loved, played with, and included as a part of their home. What a treat to find people who will care of your pet the way that you would yourself. We can't recommend Carol and Steve highly enough. Do yourself a favor and hire them. They're exceptional!”

About: I love dogs. I dog sat the Dogs on Deployment 2018 Mascot named Peanut, until a pcs move. I dog sit friends & family dogs quite often. I have 4 Vizslas, 2 females and 2 intact (sweetie pie) males. I have been taking care of dogs most of my life, & just thought I would offer my services via the Rover platform. I am currently self-employed, with some side businesses (like pet sitting), running my farm & farm stand, tending chickens, ducks, & geese, as well as our vegetable garden. I make sourdough & jams and I so enjoy staying home on our farmette. I am very flexible. I have 2 acres of fenced property for your pup to run. I have wooden and stone floors. I would love on your pet as if it were mine.
