“Emily did a great job watching my pups, and chickens. Easy and quick communication, she took the pups on some adventures as well. Highly recommend her and would use her again.”

About: Hi! My name is Maya, and I have always had a huge love for animals of all kinds. I have experience caring for my own two small dogs, ages 14 and 6, so I understand the patience, attention, and love pets need in every stage of life. Along with dogs, I’ve also owned and cared for small animals such as hamsters. I also have experience working in the stables at camps, where I helped care for around 40 horses, goats, and other animals roaming the property, including dogs. Through these experiences, I’ve learned how important it is to make animals feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I would love the opportunity to care for your pets as if they were my own, whether that means walks, playtime, feeding, or simply giving them lots of attention and companionship! My schedule is fairly flexible this summer. However, I work weekdays from 8:30am–12:30pm, but I am available before and after those hours. I will always communicate clearly about availability and make sure your pets receive plenty of attention, care, and time throughout the day. Creating a safe, comfortable, and loving environment for your pets is my top priority. I will follow all general safety practices, as well as any additional instructions or routines provided by each family to ensure their pets feel secure and cared for. I understand every pet has different needs, personalities, and boundaries, and I will always treat them with patience, attention, and care as if they were my own.

“Angela did a great job making my dog feel comfortable while I was not home, My little dog is very afraid of storms and Angela was great at staying with her and making her feel as comfortable as possible during the storms. She communicated with me to let me know Zara was doing well. I would defiantly use her again to take care of my dog”

About: I’ve been looking after fluffy frens of all shapes and sizes from a young age. My time doing a full house/dog sitting gig was for my grandparents and their French bulldog, Sugar (miss you, Sugs!). Since then I have been the go-to for my friends and family for taking care of their for legged family. I make sure your fury family gets the love and care they need, whether you just have one smol dog or a pack of greyhounds. I currently had a stretch of rough health luck, but my ails are your pups gain! I’m currently on the mend, and it’s going well, but between jobs, so my schedule is wide open. I’ll have the time to give your pups the TLC they deserve! Currently unavailable to board pets at my house, but I will make sure to treat all pets in a safe and caring way. I’ll treat them like a newborn baby, because hey, in a way they are!
“Beth is a Godsend! She stayed at our home for five days and took exceptional care of our many animals: our dog, cats, rabbits, Guinea pig and fish. We came back to a tidy house and relaxed animals. She took our dog on two mile walks and sent photos and updates regularly. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. She is kind and considerate. We highly recommend Beth!”

“Lexi was great with my particular and somewhat shy senior dog. We planned drop-ins prior to the full weekend, which worked great for Lexi and my Coco to get to know each other a little. Lexi is very responsive and gave updates. I will feel more comfortable taking trips and time away with Lexi caring for my girl!”

“Keisha was amazing with our 10 year old dog! This was our first time using a sitter and it went so smoothly. We got tons of pictures updates and Keisha left the house in tip top shape. I highly recommend working with her! Best of the best!”

“Amber is fantastic! Very reliable, sends photos of our fur babies and updates throughout her stay. She is a great house sitter and leaves our home as it was when we left. I highly recommend Amber if you are in need of a caring, considerate, and excellent communicator to watch your dogs. 🐕 🐾🩵”

About: When you book with me; you will be booking my entire family; including 3 kids. Your dog must tolerate children. Ever since our dog passed away in 2020, we have been getting our dog fix through dog sitting and are having the best time doing so. We are very experienced, responsible, and loving. Our house is busy but always filled with people. I work out of the home during the week and am off on weekends. We do prefer crate trained dogs, but that’s not required. We have a giant fenced in yard, a clean home and lots of love ready to share with your dog. At this time, we only watch dogs in our home. Also, although I have a family, I will be the primary caretaker of your dog.
“Jordan was fantastic! She did a great job housesitting and taking care of our dog and other animals while we were away. Our dog is very anxious when separated from us, and hasn't done well boarding in the past. This was our first experience with a sitter in home, and Jordan made the process super easy! Winston loved her, Jordan kept us up to date with regular communication...I can't say enough good things! We'll definitely re-book with her in the future! Thanks Jordan!”

“Scott was our first introduction to Rover. We really appreciated that he could come on short notice to sit with our 22-week old puppy. We loved Scott's relaxed and gentle way with our dog who is so excited to meet someone new, but is still in manners training in how to greet people. Scott quickly picked up on what we were trying to teach and went along with that routine. Scott arrived on the dot of our agreed time and we plan to ask him to come again!”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with years of hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats of all kinds. I’ve been watching and caring for dogs since I was 12 years old, and I’ve worked as a professional dog groomer for over 10 years—so I’m very comfortable with all breeds, sizes, and personalities. In addition to my professional experience, I’m also a proud pet owner myself. I have 5 cats and have been caring for them for over 13 years, along with my own dogs. Because of that, I truly understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pets—they’re family. I’m especially attentive to each pet’s individual needs, whether that means keeping up with a puppy’s energy, giving extra patience to shy or senior pets, or making sure your cat feels safe and comfortable in their own space. My grooming background also means I’m experienced in handling pets calmly and safely, even those who may be a little nervous. You can expect regular updates, photos, and clear communication while your pet is in my care. My goal is always to make sure your pets feel loved, safe, and stress-free while you’re away. I’d love to meet you and your pets! In addition to my grooming career, I offer pet care through Rover as a part-time service because I truly enjoy spending time with animals beyond the salon. This allows me to give each pet my full attention, patience, and care during every visit. I’m currently available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with additional availability on weekends depending on my schedule. I always do my best to be flexible when possible! I always prioritize your pet’s safety and comfort in their own home. I carefully follow your instructions for feeding, routines, and any medications, and I make sure your pet stays in a secure, familiar environment. I’m attentive to behavior and will quickly notice if anything seems off. I also respect your home by keeping everything clean, secure, and exactly how you left it.

About: From week long in-home stays to quick 15 minute walks, I have done it all! I started occasional dog walking in 8th grade and i’ve continued pet care for 9 years. I have experience with high energy and large dogs like Belgian Malinois to lower energy senior dogs that just need companionship. I can truly cater to each dog and what they need. I grew up with dogs and currently have two, a rottweiler and a lab. I currently work two jobs but they are usually pretty spread out time wise. I work in the morning from 7:30 to 2:00pm and two nights a week from 7:00pm to 12:00 am. I have weekends free so plenty of time for visiting! I will not be able to offer any in home care as I have two dogs at home that do not enjoy the company of others.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for years! I had dogs growing up and I have my own cat now. I also have my own turtle! I work full time but am able to let dogs out depending on distance throughout the day. I am more than willing to spend quality time with your animal! I am able to stay/visit at houses to support your pet. I am unable to bring cats or dogs into my house due to my cat being a solo cat (her preference).
“Maiah did a terrific job taking care of my dog. She gave us daily updates and photos, left the house clean and even stayed with my dog so she didn’t get lonely! Amazing!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Brookfield
Seth was great! He jumped right in to watch our boys last minute and was great about sending photos and updates throughout our time away. He was open and communicative during a scheduling snafu, which helped ease our anxiety. We came home to a clean house, which was so unexpected and appreciated, and two very happy dogs. We will definitely rebook with Seth in the future.

Bianca did a fantastic job sitting for our pup and our house while we were away. She kept us updated with several daily messages (with pictures) documenting her activities with the dog. He was clearly in very good hands and the house was too. We would definitely hire Bianca again.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Brookfield walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Brookfield maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Brookfield choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Brookfield. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
