“Linda was amazing! She was able to accommodate my dog very last minute, which I truly appreciated. She was very kind and made sure my dog was comfortable and well cared for throughout her stay. She took her on multiple walks each day and kept me updated, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. This was my first time leaving my dog with someone I didn’t know, and Linda made the experience so much easier than I expected. I could tell that she genuinely cared about making sure my dog was happy and comfortable. I’m very grateful for the care she provided and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for someone dependable and caring to watch their dog!”

“Paul did an amazing job watching our pup! He "warned' us that he would try to exceed our expectations, and no question he absolutely did. We loved all the updates with photos, and the numerous offsite visits to parks was so fun to see. So comforting while we were such a long distance away. We'd recommend Paul to anyone!”

“Gabriel took excellent care of my dog while I was away. I appreciated being updated with frequent pictures throughout the day. I highly recommend Gabriel and I would definitely have him watch my dog again.”

“We were so nervous to leave our 5 month old puppy Harper for the first time over a long weekend, but Cindy made it very easy. We felt she was in good hands with Cindy and had so much fun with the other dogs. When Harper came home after the weekend with Cindy, she was tired out and a happy girl. We will absolutely be booking with Cindy again!”

“This was my first time using Rover and I could not be happier! Dawn and her husband were wonderful sitters. My dog, Jax, was obviously comfortable within minutes of walking in the house. Through out his stay Dawn would send pictures so I could see for myself how ‘chilled’ Jax was. I highly recommend Dawn and would definitely leave Jax in her care again.”

“Lisa was amazing with Newman! She went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable and well cared for. She even brought him to our wedding pictures so we could snap a couple with our fur baby!! She will be our first call whenever we are in need of a dog sitter!!”

“My dog had a great stay and we will definitely rebook in the future! Perseus was very communicative, flexible, kind, and accommodating when my dog injured herself right before her stay. The space and fenced in yard were great. My dog had a lot of fun and received great care here!”

“Scott was very responsive to our messages back and forth. He also communicated with pictures and texts while caring for our Libby. We would use Scott again should the need arise. Thank you Scott.”

“Sarah and her family took great care of Goose while we were gone for a quick overnight! Goose got lots of walks around the neighborhood and played well with their kids, both in the yard and outside. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again in the future!”

“Laura did a great job with my pup again! I know that he is well cared for and safe when she is taking care of him. He always has a great time with her dog Diesel and goes on nice walks. I love how he always comes back to me good and tired! I highly recommend Laura and I will definitely be using her again!”

“Alisha was great with my two pugs last weekend. She was very understanding of my quirky older dog's needs. Her boxer is so friendly and a wonderful playmate or pillow for doggy guests!”

“Andrew and Taylor were amazing with Ella! They gave us thorough updates, asked great questions, and gave Ella lots of love! We felt confident and at ease knowing Ella was in great hands. We would definitely re-book again!”

“A wonderful dog sitter! Marilynn is truly a dog whisperer! She was so loving and caring with Lenny, and he absolutely loved his time at her house. Her fenced-in backyard gave him plenty of room to run and play, and I loved knowing he was getting lots of attention and care. I was able to relax and enjoy my time away because I knew Lenny was in such good hands. I highly recommend Marilynn to anyone looking for someone who will treat their dog like family!”

“Cortney was really accommodating and great with Bo. Also prompt in communicating and shared pictures and a video of Bo during his stay. Her dog was a great playmate for Bo and he had a blast. I would recommend Coutney!”

“Scott & Ashley were wonderful. They took in our dog Kiko and my daughter's dog Ellie, while we were all on vacation in the UK for 10 days. They sent daily updates with photos and they have a great yard for dogs with a fenced in backyard. Scott & Ashley took both dogs for walks twice a day and the although we brought crates for both dogs, they ended up sleeping with both of their boys, which was fine with us and I'm sure Kiko and Ellie loved it! We will certainly contact Scott & Ashley through Rover.com, when the need arises again.”

“Elizabeth took great care of my dog Hank! Communication was great and prompt. She provided plenty of exercise and play time with her dog, and even gave Hank a bath when he got muddy.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Brown Deer
I am so happy I found Perseus to watch my dogs! He is so sweet and accommodating, and sent pictures of the boys having fun while they were with him. The dogs came home happy and tired (good thing!) and were in a much better mood than when I've had someone watch them at home, probably because they were keeping busy and not bored. I will definitely be reaching out to Perseus again in the future!

Samantha was great with Louie, she made him comfortable and he seemed to have a nice time staying with her. She took lots of photos for me and updated whenever she could! So happy to have found her last minute especially, someone that could give him all his medications and understand how/when to give them. Definitely will be booking with her in the future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
