“Charlie had a very fun time at MJ's place! There were a few other dogs for Charlie to play with during her little vacation and MJ kept me updated on how she was doing and sent me several pictures as well! I'm very glad I found MJ and would recommend him if you're looking for a loving home for your pup to stay at!”
“Kayla and Milo were awesome sitters! Kayla did an amazing job housing my dog Kobe and sending picture updates to show he is doing. It seemed like he enjoyed his stay so much. Milo also was a great furry friend to keep Kobe company. With the awesome communication and also being flexible on scheduling, Kayla is awesome to work with. Definitely will book again.”

“Wow! We had a cruise booked before we got our Holly who is now 8 months old. Holly had not been separated from us for five months other than just a few hours. I came across Maria and Nayibe when looking through Rover and the description seemed to be a great match for our precious Holly. They exceeded our expectations! Holly was treated as one of their family and thrived in their home. She got to play with other dogs and explore in their big fenced in yard. Although she was not at home she seemed to feel loved and secure. In all of the pictures and videos with commentary she looked as if she made herself right at home. I can’t explain how much comfort this gave us and allowed us to enjoy our vacation while leaving Holly in a wonderful environment. I can’t thank them enough for all they did for Holly. She will definitely stay with Maria and Nayibe anytime we go away. We are so thankful for finding them! 🐾❤️”

“Scott and his dog Lucy were a great match for Roo! I received multiple picture updates and he was great at communicating. We met up beforehand to ensure a good match, and it was clear Scott has a natural way with dogs. Would gladly rebook!”

“Ashlee is absolutely amazing! She provided us with adorable pictures and updates during Boscos stay; we will definitely be requesting future sittings and sending friends her way!”

“Jackson loved his first stay with Auria. He got along great with her dogs and was very comfortable in her home. I think he had a lot of fun while I was gone. We look forward to using her again!”

“Tegra went way beyond in flexibility for our drop off and pick up times. She is wonderful with animals. We'll definitly be using her again. Thank you Tegra for everything!!”

“Gabriel was great, my poppy had a great time with him and his puppy Mel. Lots of playing and wrestling, and Gabriel was great about sending pictures/updates all weekend. 5 Stars!”

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and truly consider them family. Growing up, my family had a Cocker Spaniel, then a Weimaraner, and eventually we fell in love with Labrador Retrievers — we’ve had three Labs in a row. My most recent chocolate Lab, Thor, passed away about 2 years ago, and until we’re ready to bring another dog home, I’ve decided to pour that love and care into other people’s dogs. My dogs have always been right by my side, so your dog will never feel like a guest. If your dog enjoys car rides, they’re welcome to come along with me. At home, they’re free to relax on the couch, go for walks, play at the dog park, or just enjoy companionship and attention throughout the day. I trained our labrador Thor to retrieve so if you have a hunting dog and they have a favorite retriever toy I’d be happy to keep their skills fresh while you’re away. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your dog, and I’ll care for yours as if they were my own — with plenty of love. I work full-time Monday to Thursday.I am an early riser due to work and having young kids. I work 10 minutes from home so stopping home for potty breaks and exercise during the work week is easy to do. Friday,Saturday,Sunday we are home bodies with two young kids and will treat your dog like family all day. I can crate your dog in our XL crate with a comfy bed if needed. Puppies can be put into a puppy play pen as needed. We have a nice yard to play and a dog friendly neighborhood for walks weather permitting. I will only watch one dog at a time for dog safety and to give your dog my full attention. I will watch multiple dogs from the same household. Due to young kids (3&5 year olds) living in our home I do request dogs that do well with children. If you have a puppy I understand the potential teething and nipping stage is apart of a dogs growth and understand the process as I’ve had 4 puppies in my life. My children will always be supervised around your dog.
“Wow. We were so fortunate to find Katie and her family for our Remy. They have two dogs of their own who are well behaved and welcoming. We received photos and reports almost every day of our two week vacation, showing us how much fun Remy was having and all the attention she was getting from Katie’s two daughters . We strongly recommend Katie and will have Remy stay there again”

“My dog Kenzie and I had a great experience with this first stay. Cindy send reassuring pictures and comments to let me know, that she was settling in. I appreciated daily pictures and got the impression, that my dog was being cared for in the way that I would care for her. Cindy was very responsive to any questions and flexible with pickup times. All this made this a very positive experience. Thank you so much, Cindy, I am glad I found you and will happily leave my pup with you another time.”

“We couldn't be happier with Sarah! Her and her family were incredibly reliable, warm & welcoming, and went above and beyond to ensure Moose was comfortable and well-cared for. When our flight was changed last minute, Sarah was understanding and flexible. We appreciated the daily updates and so many amazing photos. It was so reassuring to see how happy Moose was during his stay. We highly recommend Sarah to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter! We will absolutely be rebooking for our next vacation.”

“Ester was great with Zeus. Zeus is very energetic, and had a wonderful time. I was sent videos of him during his stay. Will definitely book with Ester again.”

About: I helped raise my own two family dogs and ensured that they were always walked, bathed, fed, and happy. It's also a habit of mine to go take the extra step like wiping my dogs and make sure they are clean after they've been outside. I've also taken care of my neighbor's dogs alongside our own family dogs, so I have experience handling multiple pets at once. I work full-time, Monday through Friday, while working from home 2-3 days a week. I also go to workout classes in the evening. Normally, if working from home, I take the dogs out for a walk in the morning. On other days, I take them for a walk in the evening. I normally take pets out 3 times a day, once in the morning, afternoon, and night. I make sure the dogs have a dedicated spot for food and bed. I have both a park and a dog park, 5-10 minutes away from my apartment, which I can take the pets to for a walk or some dog play time. There are also multiple yard-like grass areas where the dogs are meant to do their business. If pets stay with me for longer than two weeks, I bathe them every other week.

“Jan is the best dog sitter. Our dog adores her. She sent great photos throughout and took fantastic care of our 3 year old, high energy dog. We highly, highly recommend.”
“Willow had a great time! Laura took great care of her and sent a photo every day. She got along well with Diesel, and she ate all her food, which means she was very comfortable at Laura’s house. Knowing she was doing well allowed us to enjoy our vacation more. We will definitely book Laura again!”

“This was our pups first stay with Nicole & Scott and she loved it! She was with them for a week and I can tell she felt right at home. Communication was great and they were very flexible with us when flights were late getting home.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Brown Deer
I was incredibly nervous about leaving our super senior 17-year-old dog with a pet sitter, but Jessica put me at ease from the very beginning. She has experience with senior dogs, was flexible with timing, and communicated clearly and promptly. In short, Jessica made what could have been a very stressful situation into something I could feel really good about.

Samantha was great with Louie, she made him comfortable and he seemed to have a nice time staying with her. She took lots of photos for me and updated whenever she could! So happy to have found her last minute especially, someone that could give him all his medications and understand how/when to give them. Definitely will be booking with her in the future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
