About: My husband and I have grown up with dogs. Although we don't currently have a dog, our family loves to fill the need for a dog by dog sitting and dog walking for friends and family. Our children adore dogs and love to treat visiting dogs as if they were our own. We are both home based and available during the day. I'm a stay at home mom that is able to let your pet out regularly. We have a large family (4 kids) and my husband works remotely, so although we are busy, someone is often home. We have a large, unfenced yard for your pup to play in. Walks, play and running outside are a standard part of our outdoor environment.
“Daniel came to our rescue when we learned of a death in the family. He was not in town when we left but took care of our cat that very evening when he returned home. He took care of our orchids and herbs and became fast friends with our cat. We are very grateful for his services.”

“Yolanda was amazing with our three high energy dogs! When we first met her and her husband, we could tell right away they were great people and our dogs took right to them. Even our dog that is sometimes shy around new people seemed completely at ease with them. She was available on short notice and took lots of great photos of the first visit. Our dogs looked very happy and relaxed. We would definitely recommend Yolanda!”

“Travis stopped by for a short meetup and walkthrough before my trip. He became fast buddies with my kitty, and also put me at ease knowing my kitty would be in great hands while I was away!”

“Madeline was an excellent pet sitter! She was kind, caring, and communicative throughout the time she cared for my cat, and she even checked in on my snake to make sure everything was okay. She followed all of my instructions carefully and gave me peace of mind knowing my pets were in great hands. I really appreciated her reliability and the love and attention she gave them. I would gladly have her pet sit for me again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter.”

About: ** Discounted rates as I built up reviews on this app!** I’m a true animal lover ready to give your pets the next best thing to your own love! My experience spans singlehandedly training a puppy during my teen years, caring for a 3 legged rescue, and my recent every day and extended dog sitting for my roommate’s 80 lb reactive Pitbull, I’m ready and happy to handle just about anything with compassion, care, and dedication! As a retail worker, my schedule stays flexible, so I’m a perfect candidate for both midday visits or long term stays. Whether your dog needs a multi mile walk or a quick potty break, I’m ready to make it work! As someone who also has childcare experience, I know how to be an unobtrusive, responsible, and respectful guest in your home. I value strong communication and can easily adjust my typical care style to your preferences and boundaries. I’ll be sure to always wipe those paws before letting your pup loose :)
“Lily is wonderful! She is so accommodating and truly cares for our pups even though they can be a tad difficult! We truly appreciate her and the care she has when she watches or checks-in on our pups!”

“Maddalena is very reliable and takes exceptional care of our two kitties! We appreciate knowing our cats are well cared for while we are away. Can’t say enough good things about her! Thank you Maddalena!”

“We have hired Angela twice, and would love to have her again. We have 2 very shy cats and they actually come out and play with her. Angela is very thorough and gives us updates with pictures during every visit.”

About: My sister and I grew up playing and helping our older neighbors in the area walk and take care of their dogs. My family has had cats my whole life that I’ve had experience taking care of. In high school I’d house/pet sit friends & family friends’ dogs & cats while they were on vacation. A recent graduate of UWMilwaukee with an open schedule! Looking to fill that time taking care of, spending time with, and getting to know your pets! I love the outdoors and I can take your dogs on lots of walks based on their needs! I always check if doors are locked before I leave/sleep & make sure to put away anything that pets can get into if they are left to roam. I stay clean so I make sure to clean any mess I or the pets create. I can also crate your pets if needed.

“Wonderful sitter! Took extra care to spend time with our pets to make sure they weren't alone & provided us with updates. We'll absolutely be thrilled to work with Paul again for future trips.”
About: I’ve taken care of pets since I was 10. I have a golden retriever now and love all kinds of dogs. I grew up around dogs my whole life so I am very comfortable with them! I have 3 years of experience in dog walking as well as housesitting. I’m currently in college but my class schedule is light this semester and I am available the whole week. At home I have a golden retriever who I walk three times a day, morning, evening and night. At my house I have a fenced in backyard but I also like to take my dog for long walks as well. I am comfortable walking dogs long distances.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
