“Excellent experience as always, Becky takes such good care of our two older kitties whenever we're out of town! They had new meds this time and she made sure they got the right doses. She gives them the individual care they both need. 😊 She even offered to bring in our mail and packages!”
“Once again Debbi has given exceptional care to our home and pets. We have used Debbi twice in the past and would not want anyone else! Explicit directions were followed and she gave us some helpful tips as well. Debbi is very conscientious and will “go that extra mile.” When I asked for help with packages being delivered she tracked them all down and made sure they were brought into the house. Thank you for all your care, promptness, and professionalism. Sean and Georgann F.”

“Dyana is the person we regularly contact to look in our dogs when we are gone for the day. She is always reliable and trustworthy. We're so glad to have someone we feel comfortable with! ”

“Kayla was on time and had great communication! She spent ample time making sure Quinn did his business, and gave him plenty of attention and belly rubs! We got some adorable pictures updates as well”
“We had such a great experience with Anya. From the start, she was so friendly and easy to talk to, and her communication was amazing the entire time we were away. She sent lots of pictures and updates, which honestly made such a difference and really helped me relax knowing my pets were in good hands. What meant the most to me was how much she genuinely seemed to care about them. It truly felt like she loved them like they were her own. You can’t fake that kind of care, and it gave me so much peace of mind. She was also really accommodating and just made everything feel easy and stress-free. I know we will come home to happy, well-cared-for pets, and I’m so grateful we found her. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can truly trust with their animals.”

“Kristina took care of our shy cat for the first time this past weekend. It's not easy to care for an animal that would rather hide from you than interact, and Kristina dealt with her well. She was friendly, came over when promised, and cared for Sophie and our house well.”

“Paul is very good with my elderly cat. I loved the pictures and the updates! I was able to relax while away knowing that Maynard was in good hands with Paul! I've already got Paul engaged for my next trip!”
About: I've been taking care of dogs most of my life. We have fostered many types dogs, mainly ones who have needed rehabilitations from an injury or abuse. Our family was part of the cocker spaniel rescue for ten years. We became known for our foster failures; we just loved them so much. Our neighbors would always come for us if they needed any type of help caring for their dogs, and even brining us the stray ones they would find. I am passionate about caring for dogs. My dream would be to open up my own rescue one day. I will treat your dog just like my own and make sure they are treated right. I currently have a full-time job, so my availability would be evenings and weekends. I have a pretty flexible schedule. Just let me know what works best for you and we can set something up. I would care for a pet in clients home by following the rules and expectations of the home, and what the client would like to have done.
About: I am a trained canine coach and have 5 years of experience working professionally at a high end dog daycare facility. I have worked with dogs in play rooms as small as teacup chihuahuas, to as large as great danes, from as ginger as senior dogs, to as strong as young cane corsos. And, of course, I have loved each and every individual one. I am a highschool English and Language Arts teacher for Dr. Howard Fuller Collegiate Academy. With the summers being free, it clears my schedule for your pup! I am a trained dog professional, so I know how to handle any and all types of temperaments when it comes to the personality of your dog. I have knowledge of all different kinds of breeds and have training in how to appropriately and safely handle dogs in all situations from crate training, to proper feeding, to leash training, and even new tricks!
“Shelby took care of Mickey for a week. She followed his daily routine and kept us posted if there were changes, I.e. not going to potty when it was raining. Mickey gets anxious and sad when we leave, but Mickey was happy and evidently less stressed/anxious when we returned. Thank you Shelby!”

“As always, we had a wonderful experience leaving our fur babies with Aidan! Very communicative, attentive to our pets needs, and goes above and beyond to make us feel comfortable while we are away.”

“Michelle did amazingly with our pets! One can tell she is a compassionate animal lover and caregiver. Her communication was excellent. She went above and beyond to make sure our pets were well cared for.”

About: I grew up in a large and loving family with very high-energy dogs. Last May, my husband, two kiddos and myself said goodbye to the best dog in the entire world- we miss Dexter everyday. He wasn't just a dog to us, he was family. We currently have a cat named Beans who we adopted when she was a tiny kitty. She gets a lot of attention from our 4-year-old daughter who wants to be a Veterinarian one day. Over the years, we trained Dexter (a golden retriever), and had to learn a lot about cats since neither of us grew up with a cat. Beans is very, very particular. When I was younger I helped train the family dog(s) and spent countless hours playing, walking, bathing, petting and cuddling these dogs. It has been almost one year since Dexter passed away and I miss having a dog to pet and chit-chat with everyday. I would love to spend time with your pet. Currently, I do not work. I drop one kid off at 8:30am and the other at 12:45pm, and pick up both kids at 3:30pm. We do a lot of walking and biking around town. I have a lot of free time. Our schedule will change a little bit in the summer with the kids swim lessons and a couple camping trips. Our apartment complex has a fenced-in dog run, we are near the bike path, I am happy to clean-up after your pet when necessary. I respect all pet owner's rules to ensure pet safety when walking on the leash, dietary guidelines, etc. I am able to crate animals at your house, as well as ours, if necessary.
About: I have worked with all animals, from dogs and cats, to rats, turtles, hamsters, rabbits and fish! I have worked at a Humane Society, and love volunteering my time to work with animals. I have experience administering medication, as well as working with animals that have a bit of an attitude. I enjoy training dogs, and sitting on the coach and watching a movie together! I am able to commit most of my time to petsitting! I do not board in my home, but I have a reliable car that allows me to travel and spend the night in your home. That means less stress on your furry companions! While I do not provide care in my home, I prefer to meet families and their animals in advance so that we are able to discuss the little things about your animals. I love getting to know their quirks, and the best way to do that is talking to owners. I enjoy long walks with the dogs, and snuggling with cats and other animals!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
