“Yolanda and her family did a wonderful job with Gizmo. It was our first time leaving him for a week and with someone through Rover. Yolanda's patience, kindness, and experience brought me relief knowing that my dog was in great hands. She did everything possible to calm my anxiety-ridden fur baby and made him comfortable; kept me updated and was responsive; sent me photos; and was very easy/flexible to work with. By the end of the week, Gizmo was playing with other dogs and taking long walks twice a day, which he never does! He's been home for almost 24 hours and I can tell he misses Yolanda, but mostly, he's been sleeping like a baby. LOL. I couldn't thank Yolanda and her family enough. I finally found someone who was willing to take in my dog and refused to give up on him even when times were hard. I highly recommend her services! I've found my FOREVER dog sitter :) Thank you again Yolanda!!”
“Ann and Arman were awesome hosts for Finn while I was traveling for work. They treated him like family, and he clearly settled in quickly (note that they did a great job of providing pictures and updates). He enjoyed his walks with them, loved playing with their children, and was treated with love! Ann and Arman were a joy to work with, and Finn looks forward to returning soon.”

“I have used Monique twice now to set a pretty energetic little dog. She has been so responsive, so accommodating, and so caring for my sweet little pup. I love that she sends pictures and updates about how my pet was acclimating to the new setting. Highly trust and recommend Monique and I can’t wait to use her again!”

“This was our first time using Rover. We had last minute work done in our house where the cats had to be gone. Aidan and Dani were amazingly patient with our four cats who have quite unique personalities.”

“Sherry Z. Is fantastic! We left our pup, Juneau, with her for the weekend while we traveled out of town. She was warm and attentive to our pet, and sent updates and photos throughout the weekend. We will definitely book Sherry again the next time we travel.”

“Poppy and Dudley had a great time at Kim’s house. Kim was so welcoming and reassuring. Updates and pictures made it a seamless and worry free experience. We will be back in just a few short weeks.”

“Angela kept our senior dog over a long weekend while we were out of town. She was super attentive and sent lots of pictures, putting our mind at ease. She clearly loves dogs and we knew our pup was in loving hands! I would definitely use her again and recommend her without any hesitation!”

“Julia and Colin were great! They communicated well and even met Toast before boarding! We received a lot of pictures where our dog was smiling and having a good time with them. We will definitely book again!”

“Where to start??? Jessica is awesome!!! She made my first time using Rover a very comfortable experience. I have a Min Pin named Cairo that happens to be energetic and super clingy; naturally I was worried about him being a hyper menace but I was relieved to hear from Jessica a day in that he was settled in and already having fun. The updates I were provided were timely and appreciated - always good to know your baby is safe, happy, and well taken care of. I provided Jessica with everything she might’ve needed to ensure a good stay for Cairo and she followed everything to the T! I can’t continue raving about how great Jessica is with the pups. I am extremely pleased. Cairo will be back to hang out with his new friend!!”

“Jacquelin and her husband have been a wonderful find and we could not be more grateful for her and her husband’s incredible care for our guy, Teddy. We were gone for 10 days for our spring break and were a little nervous being gone that long. Teddy comes from a one dog household and normally stays at home with a family member or friend; however this trip was too long for an arrangement like that and could not have been more pleased with the care, concern, consistent communication and love given to our sweet guy! We would not hesitate to use them again. Thanks so much 💛”

“Perseus was great! Milo was sad to leave his new friends, but we know he was well cared for and loved his time with Perseus and friends :) will definitely be booking again!”

“The best sitter we’ve used. Daniel meshed really well with our Black lab. He watched our dog for 12 days and had no issues. Frequent updates and open communication. Highly recommend!”

“Riley had such a great experience, and I truly can’t say enough good things. Communication was amazing from start to finish, and she was so flexible when our flights changed, which took a huge weight off my shoulders. She even sent pictures without us asking which we absolutely loved and really appreciated. Her kids and mother were incredibly kind and Riley also got along so well with their dog, Annalise. Riley isn’t around other dogs very often, so I was a little nervous, but they did great together and it made me so happy to hear how well she adjusted. Honestly, the whole experience felt so comfortable… like I’ve known them for a long time. That says a lot when you’re trusting someone with your dog. I would absolutely use them again without hesitation. I think Riley may have even found herself a new best friend 🐾”

“Would definitely recommend Amanda as a sitter! Easy communication, easy to book, I appreciated the couple check ins during my dog’s stay! My dog came back looking well taken care of, happy, and tired from her exercise! Will definitely be using Amanda again!”

“MJ takes good care of Dimitri. He messages us about Dimitri’s daily activities and his concerns during Dimitri’s stay! He makes sure Dimitri is healthy, eat and drink well. Will rebook again!”

“Scott was a wonderful sitter to our dog, Phoebe. Excellent communication, professional, and friendly. He sent us a few pics while we were away to let us know how she was doing, which I especially appreciated. Definitely recommend Scott, and his cute dog Lucy, to anyone looking for a sitter and a playmate.”

“Ashley and her family did an excellent job watching my two pups. Both seemed to be enjoying themselves while I was away. I got updates and pictures periodically so I was always in the know of what they were up to. Ashley was accommodating with time drop off and pick up. I appreciate the time and love you spent with my babies.”

“Jackson loved his first stay with Auria. He got along great with her dogs and was very comfortable in her home. I think he had a lot of fun while I was gone. We look forward to using her again!”

“I cannot say enough about Maria and Nayibe. I’m very selective about who I allow to care for my dog and I can 100% say that I made a good choice. Throughout the weekend, I received updates, pictures and video which really put my mind at ease. Thank you so much and I will be using them again!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Brown Deer
I was incredibly nervous about leaving our super senior 17-year-old dog with a pet sitter, but Jessica put me at ease from the very beginning. She has experience with senior dogs, was flexible with timing, and communicated clearly and promptly. In short, Jessica made what could have been a very stressful situation into something I could feel really good about.

According to our dog sitter review specialist, our little Chihuahua, Cosita... she had a wonderful overnight visit with Auria and is looking forward to her return visit in a few days. She was very pleased with the care she received and enjoyed meeting and interfacing with the other dogs. We were also impressed with the great care that Cosita received and have a few more visits scheduled.

Samantha was great with Louie, she made him comfortable and he seemed to have a nice time staying with her. She took lots of photos for me and updated whenever she could! So happy to have found her last minute especially, someone that could give him all his medications and understand how/when to give them. Definitely will be booking with her in the future!

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
