Hello! I am a long-time animal lover and have experience with all types of pets! I was a professional equestrian for many years and grew up on a farm caring for all types of animals (even ran a raccoon rescue for several years 😄!). I have also raised several toy breeds and know how vital it is to watch out for their safety and be extra gentle. These days my husband and I just have one mini schnauzer named Gatsby who is the center of our world (and he knows it!). We love taking hikes and going to the dog park and take our pup everywhere with us and would love to have your fur baby join us! Experience with puppies (big and small), senior dogs, and administering medication. We only take one outside dog at a time so your dog would only ever be with my dog while in our care. We like to schedule meet and greets when possible to ensure your dog feels comfortable with our pup. I work from home full time and my flexible schedule means your pup would never be left home alone for long periods of time. We also have puppy cams in our house so that we can talk to the pups when we are away and keep an eye on them even for an hour. I like to break up my day with walks and trips to the dog park so your pup won’t get bored. We have a large fenced yard and live on a quiet dead end street so there isn’t too much over-stimulation for the more sensitive pups. I can crate dogs if need be and keep them in a separate room from our own pup if necessary.

Shay and Gavin took amazing care of Bark Ruffalo and kept us up to date with how he was doing while we were gone. We'd absolutely have them and Gatsby host anytime!

Our dog Nelly had a great stay with Shay! Nelly is often cautious in new situations but settled in really well. Shay’s dog Gatsby is super sweet and friendly too. We really appreciated Shay handling all of Nelly’s medications and sending lots of videos and pictures so we could see how happy and comfortable Nelly was while we were away. We will definitely book again the next time we need to go out of town!
Used Rover for the first time and found Shay. We are so pleased with the experience and Shay! Just through our pre stay conversations I felt great about leaving our dog with her, and had no worries. She was a great communicators and sent updates with pictures on how Cooper was doing during his stay. That’s priceless and gives you extra peace of mind while you are out of town. Copper had a great time! Shout out to her dog Gatsby for showing Cooper a good time as well and giving him his space until he was ready to play. Thanks Shay for wanting/making it a comfortable for Cooper! I will most definitely recommend and use Shay again.
Shay was very reliable and flexible adjusting time for drop off and pick up to meet my needs. She communicated with me about my pet adjustment to the new situation. Unfortunately my pets needs did not match the optimum experience for her to take care of him. I appreciated the service of those 4 days!
Shay was 100%, A+, fantastic! Dropped Iris off with shorter than we'd like notice and she was very accommodating. Shay sent the absolute best photos, videos, and updates during Iris stay with her that made me smile from ear to ear and I could tell that Iris was being very well cared for...she had so much fun she slept the entire next day after we picked her up. She was exhausted! Overall just excellent.

Zeitplan
We consider dogs to be like our children so wherever we are, they are right next to us. We are home most of the time so our schedule kind of revolves around the animals in our life. 😄

When staying with us pups get to be with us all day, sleeping next to us while we work, snuggling on the couch with us, and eating meals with us. They are part of the family!

Ein typischer Tag
Love going on walks around the neighborhood each morning and evening and on longer hikes to stretch those legs and get some social time. Pups also love sunbathing in the yard during the afternoon and playing fetch with us for hours.
