“Jeanee is amazing! She took the best care of our pets, provided frequent updates, and was honestly a joy to communicate with! She will most definitely be my first choice for future pet sitting needs.”

“We hired Cynthia to house sit for our dog, cat, and chickens for over a week. She did a great job! She spent a ton of time at the house, sent consistent updates, and took great care of our babies. We had our outgoing flight delayed by over a day, and Cynthia was flexible and understanding.”

“Paul took great care of our two puppies while we were on vacation! He sent multiple updates daily with pictures, and they were extremely well cared for. We never had to worry about them, and we were able to enjoy our vacation! I would leave my pets with Paul anytime!!”

“Emma was AMAZING! 3 Great Danes and she handled their clumsy-ness and lap dog tenancies without a hitch. My stupid dogs ran off to the neighbors house and had an incident with the neighbor dog. She handled the situation perfectly and kept my dogs, the neighbor and their dog, and myself feeling safe about the incident the rest of booking. When I got home and apologized again to my neighbor, they said that Emma did great the whole time and were impressed with the way she handled things. 10/10 would recommend Emma!!”

“Faith did an amazing job with our Bruno!! This is our second time having Faith watch our dog and we are just as happy as we were the first time. Bruno was well cared for and very relaxed and happy when we got back home which shows how well he did with Faith. She was very good at keeping us updated with photos and messages. Asked questions when anything needed to be clarified. She even let us know she put out our trash to be picked up! The house was spotless when we returned, clean and tidy. But most of all Bruno had a great time with Faith and we will definitely use her again for our next vacation!!”

“Katelyn did a wonderful job with Camber! He can be a little leery in the beginning and Katelyn did great with him and letting him lead the way. We will definitely be using her again!”

“Heather was so sweet and understood our animals are our family. She sent pictures throughout her stay which really put my mind at ease. We will book Heather again for the future!!”

“Alex did a great job with Tucker. She bonded with him immediately, he was feed, walked and pampered. Communication was excellent, we got lots of photos and updates. We will definitely use Alex again”

About: I don’t have much formal dog sitting experience yet, but I’m a college student looking to earn some extra income on the side. I’ve had two dogs of my own for the past six years, so I’m very comfortable with routines, feeding schedules, walks, and understanding dog behavior. I’m flexible with hours, patient, and will make sure your dog feels safe, cared for, and loved. I’m transitioning out of my full-time job to focus on school this summer, which gives me a very flexible schedule. I’m available for overnight stays anytime and can accommodate walks, drop-ins, and check-ins throughout the day. Pet care fits easily into my routine, allowing me to give your dog consistent attention, care, and companionship. I care for pets by following a consistent routine, just like I do with my own dogs. I make sure they’re fed on schedule, get regular walks, playtime, and plenty of attention throughout the day. I’m very attentive to their behavior and needs, whether that’s giving them space, exercise, or extra comfort. I also keep spaces clean and organized. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for the same way I treat my own dogs.
About: Animals have always been a part of my life. They show us so much love. Who are we not to give it back in return. Since the passing of our long time dog (Roc,15) we’ve been watching our friends and family dogs while they’re out of town. In each case the owners return with their dogs a little hesitant about wanting to return home. LOL. I work from home and I have no plans of switching to another job that would require me to go into the office. Therefore, I have plenty of time to play with your big and little babies. I also like to take walks at minimum twice a day. This is a perfect time for your fur babies to stretch their legs. After a nice long walk I clean their paws to make sure they leave the yucky stuff outside. I have a designated area where they can sleep. However, I like to keep them close to me during the day while I’m working. I think it sets them up for a positive visit. They immediately become part of the family. I also have the flexibility to take them out throughout the day. There is a highly recommended veterinarian within a two minute driving distance and maybe a ten minute walk in the event of an emergency.
“Elizabeth took amazing care of our dog Layla while we were away. She kept us updated with sweet messages and photos, and we could tell Layla was happy and well-loved the whole time. We came home to a relaxed, content pup — we couldn’t ask for more! Highly recommend Elizabeth and would absolutely book with her again.”

About: I love walking and with a dog it's even better! I enjoy being outside and spending time with dogs. I will treat your dog as if it were my own, give him/her special attention, and a walk/home while you are away. Dogs have a special place in my heart and I enjoy spending time with other people's dogs, taking them for walks, and giving your dog love and attention. I have had experience walking dogs and taking care of dogs throughout my life. I have 2 rescue dogs are both beagles. I am an avid outdoor enthusiast and love taking them for hikes in the woods, on trails in state parks, and around the neighborhood. I am available for all the services Rover offers. I can board/watch your dogs at my home. I would love to meet you and your dog! I am a teacher and love coming home to my 2 dogs. We spend a lot of time outside and go for two walks a day. I have a fenced in backyard that is about a 1/2 of an acre. Our fence is 6 feet high. I have two dogs myself, so we have lots of treats and toys as well as extra dog beds. I am also a foster for the Humane Society, Midwest BREW, and Fluffy Dog Wellness & Rescue. I have fostered over 20 dogs in my home of all different breeds and ages. I find it really rewarding!
“I simply do not know what we would have done without Mary. She has faithfully and with care taken care of our Kikki cat while we were away for days at a time getting medical care for my husband. I do know she will do her best for you, and she will send pictures so you can rest easy that all will is well at home.Kikki was relaxed and calm each time we returned.”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is the level of care and connection I bring to every animal I work with. I have experience with all types of animals, and I treat each one like they’re my own patient, gentle, and fully attentive to their needs. I don’t believe in one size fits all care. I follow your pet’s routine closely and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I’m a great communicator, always keeping you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pet is truly in good hands. With a calm energy, a clean environment, and genuine passion for animals, I make every pet’s stay a positive and stress free experience. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I build my day around the animals I’m watching. I start and end each day with feeding, potty breaks, and quality time, and I make sure every pet gets plenty of attention, play, and exercise throughout the day. Whether it’s walks, check ins, or simply giving them comfort and company, I plan my schedule to stay consistent and reliable. Pets aren’t an “extra” for me they’re a meaningful part of my day, and I make sure their needs are met with patience, love, and structure. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and keep everything exactly how their pet is used to. I stick closely to the pet’s daily schedule, maintain their feeding and exercise routine, and make sure they get quality time, attention, and reassurance. No matter where the care takes place, my goal is to make every pet feel safe, loved, and stress free, just like they’re with family.
“Jenn was so great with my very spoiled Great Pyrenees at her home Christmas weekend. She was so good at communicating and sending pictures the weekend she was with him. I felt she genuinely cared so much about Koda and us too. I will definitely be contacting her again on our next travels. Thanks again Jenn!”

About: We have always had pets, and we truly love them! We're a fun, dog-loving family with two Standard Poodles who enjoy making new friends. For the safety and comfort of all dogs, I do not bring my own dogs out during meet-and-greets. Meeting in a new environment can be overwhelming, and dogs are often excited and distracted. There may also be other dogs boarding during your visit. Just like at a traditional boarding facility, introductions are made thoughtfully once your dog's stay begins to help ensure a safe, smooth, and low-stress transition for everyone, including me. 🙂 I also do not invite families into my home during meet-and-greets. Instead, I provide clear videos of all of the high-traffic areas where your dog will spend their time, and we review those together during your visit. This allows you to see exactly where your dog will eat, play, relax, and sleep while also respecting the privacy and safety of my home, family, and the dogs currently in my care. I completely understand that every pet parent has a different comfort level when choosing care for their dog. If my process doesn't leave you feeling completely comfortable, I may simply not be the best fit, and that's okay. I truly believe you should feel 100% confident and at ease with whoever you choose to care for your pup. Finally, we do require up-to-date vaccination records as part of our commitment to providing a safe and healthy environment for all of our dog guests. I work from home, so I’m with the pups the majority of the day. Whether I’m at my desk or out in the yard, your dog is part of my daily routine. If I need to step out for errands, dogs are never left unattended. Depending on their needs and behavior, they are either safely secured behind gates or placed in a kennel — but only if they’ve been assessed to need one for their safety and comfort. I observe each dog closely during their first visit to determine what setup makes them feel most secure and relaxed. Every pup has their own space to unwind, and I make sure they always feel safe, cared for, and right at home. I have two friendly dogs to keep your pup company. Our dogs use an invisible fence, but we’ll be outside walking your pup on a leash anytime they’re out exploring around. We have 2 acres with lots of space for sniffing, strolling, and sunbathing, plus 50 ft leads for our friends who aren’t reliable off-leash. We also have a HUGE fenced-in play area where pups can run, zoom, and burn off energy safely. After experiencing a fence jumper (don’t worry — he’s home safe!), I’ve added a 3-foot height extension to our fence and now use temporary Apple AirTags on guest dogs as an extra layer of safety. These little upgrades help ensure your pup stays safe, and give both of us peace of mind. If you’d prefer your dog not wear an AirTag, just let me know — happy to accommodate! Additionally, we require up-to-date immunization records as part of our commitment to the health and safety of all our guests. Cancellation & Early Pickup Policy I totally understand that plans can change, and I do my best to be flexible while also protecting the time and space reserved for your pup. Boarding, House Sitting & Drop-Ins You’ll receive a full refund if you cancel by noon, 7 days before your booking starts. After that, you’ll get a 50% refund for the first 7 canceled days, and 100% back for any days beyond that. Daycare & Dog Walks You’ll receive a full refund if you cancel by noon, 3 days before the scheduled service. After that, the same 50% refund for the first 7 days applies, and 100% for the rest. Early Pickups Because your dog’s spot was held just for them and couldn’t be booked by anyone else, I don’t offer refunds for early pickups. Thanks so much for understanding! I always aim to provide the best care and flexibility I can, while making sure everything runs smoothly for all the pups in my care.
“Dawn took such good care of our boy and our home while we were away! She provided photos and check ins daily while we were away to ensure our dog was well cared for! We will definitely be using her services in the future and we highly recommend her!”

Emma is amazing! I loved that she wanted to meet me and Lacey before she accepted a job. It was important to her that we were all on the same page. I was able to talk about Laceys needs and routine in person, which really made me feel at ease. When the weekend came for her to stay at our house I was completely comfortable leaving Lacey in her care. She gave me updates and pictures which was great. Thank you Emma!!!!

I knew Meg would be a perfect fit for our Riley as soon as we met. She’s an absolute gem. Riley and Meg clicked right away. Communication before and during our time away was excellent. This was our first time using Rover and having someone we didn’t know stay in our home, but Meg immediately made us feel comfortable trusting her with both our home and Riley. Meg is very active and truly spoiled our boy with lots of walks, including a fun snowy adventure to a nature preserve. Her updates while we were gone were reassuring and thoughtful. When we returned home, the house was spotless. She even took great care of our real Christmas tree while we were away. The biggest sign of how well Riley was cared for? He was happy to see us, but calm and content, which says everything. Meg is sweet, reliable, and caring. We will absolutely be using her again and highly recommend her.

Erin was amazing! I needed a last-minute sitter and she came through—I’m so glad she did. My dog, Tatum, has been struggling with anxiety lately, and Erin was incredibly understanding and patient with him. She listened to everything I asked, communicated clearly, was very timely, and handled Tatum (and my other pets!) with such care. I’d definitely ask her to watch him again!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Cedarburg on Rover is $61.05 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 1,208 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Cedarburg. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Cedarburg walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Cedarburg maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Cedarburg choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cedarburg. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
