My typical schedule (while not traveling): I have more time to help as a sitter on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday nights as well as Saturday anytime and Sunday afternoon and evenings. And, I might be able to make something work for Wednesday and Thursday as well depending on where you live and how long you would need me.

A typical day
For House Sitting: Shortly after arriving and setting my things down, I'll re-read any notes that were provided to me or look for new ones left for me just to make sure I'm as familiar as possible with what is expected of me. Once that is taken care of then I feel out the mood of the animal and see if it would like to play, cuddle, or eat right away. Throughout my stay, I look for several opportunities to bond with the animal in ways that are comfortable with them 💕 For Dog Walks: Once I get them all set for a walk, I love finding different routes with them and letting them choose decide which turns to make too! I don’t rush dogs as I know smelling is an important part of their day and allows them to feel more at ease in general. When I spend time with them indoors, I love cuddling, playing with them using any toys they like, and just talking to them so they feel loved!

Pet care experience
One thing I’ve been told time and time again is that animals warm up to me very easily (even the timid and anxious ones!). Perhaps this is because I honestly view it as a privilege to connect with animals ❤️ And while I’m an animal lover I also love good communication! So you can expect to see 1 or 2 updates (with photos!) everyday from me with silly, enriching, and chill moments 🐶😻

This was our first time using Rover and Amanda made it a perfect experience. Amanda was an excellent communicator during the 3 nights she spent with our dog (and also prior to her stay). Magggie (dog) is not the easiest and Amanda was willing to problem solve and followed all instructions. She provided good insight, feedback, and pictures which reassured us that Maggie was well taken care of. Upon return home our space was in perfect condition and Maggie was calm. If Maggie could talk I know she would give Amanda 5 stars too!
Amanda did an outstanding job taking care of our cats and home while we were away. She has amazing attention to detail, and always gave us plenty of updates and pics so we felt connected to our pets. She is very kind, responsible, and professional. We highly recommend Amanda!
