Emma is amazing! I loved that she wanted to meet me and Lacey before she accepted a job. It was important to her that we were all on the same page. I was able to talk about Laceys needs and routine in person, which really made me feel at ease. When the weekend came for her to stay at our house I was completely comfortable leaving Lacey in her care. She gave me updates and pictures which was great. Thank you Emma!!!!

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life and currently care for four dogs and one cat of my own. Caring for multiple pets has taught me patience, responsibility, and how to recognize each animal’s unique personality and needs. From energetic playtime and long walks to quiet cuddles and sticking to feeding routines, I’m comfortable providing attentive, loving care. Also, I am comfortable and experienced in handling medication for dogs as one of my dogs at home has diabetes. I understand that every pet is part of the family, and I’ll treat yours with the same kindness, respect, and affection that I give my own. I’m currently working part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule to care for your pet. I’ll do my best to accommodate your preferred days and times, and I’m happy to work with you to find a schedule that fits both you and your furry friend. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have experience caring for my own four dogs and one cat, so I’m familiar with different personalities, energy levels, and routines. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or taking them for a walk, I’ll make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, fresh water, and lots of love. I’ll also respect your pet’s routine, follow any feeding or medication instructions carefully, and provide regular updates so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.

Sarah is the best, hands down. She took care of our needy 6 month old puppy for 8 days like he was her own. She met our dog where he is (inability to be left alone for long, early wake ups, puppy behaviors🫠) and did it all with so much care and patience. She sent multiple pictures everyday with messages about how their day went. I can’t recommend her enough and there aren’t enough stars on this app to convey how much she did for us and our pup!

About: My name is Jacalyn, and I am a dedicated pet caregiver/house sitter in the West Bend area. When I’m not spending time with animals, I am a freelance artist working on long-term creative projects. Because my artwork is completely mobile, it makes me the perfect companion for your pets! I provide a consistent, calm presence in your home, ensuring your animals are never lonely, stressed, or left unattended for long periods. Specialized Experience & Skills: Unlike standard dog walkers, I have a deep, lifetime background in diverse animal care. You can completely trust me with your entire household ecosystem. Dogs: I grew up with a toy poodle in our home, caring for him when my parents went away. I would also house sit for our neighbor with medium-large dogs as a young adult. I have more recently house sat overnight for friends and my previous boss with two large dogs, providing structured feeding, walks, and plenty of play time. Small Pets: I formerly worked at a pet store where I was responsible for the daily care, feeding, and habitat maintenance of cats, dogs, birds, fish, rabbits and rodents. I also cared for my own pet mice, rats and rabbits over the years. I adore all animals, big and small. Animal Shelter Volunteer Roots: My love for animals started early—I volunteered at our local animal shelter with dogs and cats as a kid, learning how to handle different temperaments, walk the dogs, and keep environments clean and safe. If you have an animal friend that needs care while you're away, dog walking or a permanent home/vacation home that needs house sitting and check ups, don't hesitate to send me a message. I aim to provide the best care for your fur baby tailored around your work day, weekend plans, holiday travel, or seasonal vacations. My radius includes within 15 miles of West Bend. I am available for all of the services listed Tuesday-Sunday. My week is open for your nanny needs. Whether you are a local heading out on a vacation, long work days, or a tourist renting a cabin and looking to explore the local landscape, I am here to help. Why Choose Me? Because I balance my pet care with my art projects, your pets get the absolute best of both worlds: structured, energetic outdoor time combined with hours of quiet, indoor companionship while I work. I am detail-oriented, highly respectful of your property, and communicative with plenty of photo updates. Not only will i take care of your family member, but make sure everything is spotless when you return. I look forward to meeting you and your unique pets! Please feel free to reach out with your upcoming dates.

About: As I said in my headline, I work from home so it is easy for me to pack my stuff up and come care for your pets while you are away. If they will be staying with me they will get spoiled with attention all day. Our backyard is not fenced in but we have a line off our back door from when we had a dog for when nature calls. I am also freely able to let them out for potty breaks while working. My work schedule is very flexible to take your pets for walks or stop in. I currently watch my friends animals when they are away. One household is 2 dogs and 2 cats and the other is just a cat. One of the dogs I have experience administering medication with and dealing with a anxious dog. I also frequently watch a families Boxer when they have errands to run or want to go out for the evening.

About: I am a nearby teacher just looking to help you out with your dog/s! I know how stressful it can be to leave your dog with someone else and I want it to be stress-free for you. I have a dog of my own, and I grew up with dogs all my life and love to be around them! I can socialize your pup with mine or keep them separate. I am free most weekends and holidays. I can go on a run and/or walk with your dog or just give them a little extra love and attention. I am a big fan of all dogs whether they are big or small. I do know she will do her best for you, and she will send pictures so you can rest easy that all will is well at home.Kikki was relaxed and calm each time we returned.

About: Since High School (10+ years), family members, neighbors, and close friends have reached out to me for pet care. I personally grew up with cats, but I have care for cats, dogs, fish, and even bearded dragons! When I care for your pets, I strive to be patient and understanding first and foremost. Meeting new people is just as nerve-racking as meeting new animals! I enjoy learning your pet's behavior, building trust, bonding with them and hopefully, if they let me, giving them lots of love! I try to be open-minded and understanding as I know not every pet warms up to people. Feel free to reach out and we can chat more about what you need for your pet :) I'm looking forward to spending time with them! I currently have a flexible schedule, so pet-sitting and dog-walking can fit in whenever I have free space! Typically I will have pet-sitting over the weekends, but my availability will be updated as needed. As I live in an apartment, I currently am not able to care for your pets in my own home. Though, I have no problem coming to your home to care for your pets! This includes if I am needed there overnight.

Courtney was amazing! Absolutely wonderful with all of our fluffies and you can tell they Super care about them. Many sitters just do the bare minimum but Courtney spent time with them, took care of medicine, played with them, etc… and did not just watch TV all day sitting like we have had others do. If you want someone who takes care to help your fluffies feel comfortable while you are away, we recommend Courtney.

About: Nice to meet you! My name is Courtney. I created my business because I too struggled to find a reliable dog sitter for my pets. I wanted to provide professional, trustworthy care to my fellow pet owners. People have described me as confident, responsible, and compassionate. I am very passionate about working with pets. I’ve worked with hundreds of dogs, ranging from all dog breeds and sizes. I have been a dog trainer and dog sitter for over 10 years, and I truly have a passion for dogs. Take me to a dog park and I can tell you about every single dogs play style, body language and behavior. What sets my dog sitting and boarding services apart is my understanding of the canine mind and their unique needs for enrichment and reinforcement, crucial for their health and happiness. I have extensive training and real world experience training K9s and companion dogs which requires creativity, patience, and compassion. I also have extensive knowledge of various dog health issues, having cared for blind dogs, deaf dogs, and those with special needs. I firmly believe there are no 'bad' dogs and strive to cater to each client's specific needs. Reactive, nervous, or anxious dogs are always welcome in my care without judgment. Ensuring dogs' safety is my top priority because, like you, my dogs are family, and I treat every pet as such. Trusting somebody with your pets can be nerve wracking, and you can be assured the care, safety, and well being of your family member is taken seriously. “Animals are such agreeable friends - they ask no questions; they pass no criticisms.” George Eliot Important note: I have a three day cancellation fee, so please be sure to let me know if your plans change as soon as possible. Last minute cancelations result in other pet parents unable to use my services, so I cannot wave or adjust for my fee. I appreciate clients understanding! Please note that dogs are not to be taken off property during their stay (Unless veterinary related) is it my main priority that pets are safe and secure in our home and yard. Our yard provides ample space for dogs to run, chase a ball, and play with their buddies. My drop off and pickup times are split between AM and PM. My drop off times range from 8-10AM, and 5-8PM. Times outside of those periods will be charged for a day or half day of daycare. I appreciate owners being as close to a planned time as possible to allot time for myself and other clients. As a full-time dog trainer, I work from home alongside my lead trainer, so there is always someone at home! My commitment to being home means that the dogs receive continuous supervision and attention, enhancing safety and well-being. I enjoy hiking, swimming, and gardening in my small garden. When dogs stay at my home, safety is my top priority. To ensure a secure environment, I implement several measures. 1. Supervised Outside Play: Dogs are only allowed outside under direct supervision. This allows me to monitor their behavior, prevent any potential conflicts, and ensure they stay safe from external hazards. 2. Matching Play Styles: I carefully assess the play styles of each dog and only allow those with similar temperaments to interact. This minimizes the risk of misunderstandings and conflicts, promoting an enjoyable playtime for all dogs. 3. FI Collars. If requested by the pet parent, I use FI collars for safety. These smart collars provide real-time location tracking, ensuring an added layer of security. This technology helps me keep track of each dog’s whereabouts, giving pet parents peace of mind knowing their pets are safe. 4. Fence: Our property is 1/3 acre and includes a 6 foot fence. Dogs are carefully monitored and I implement 50 foot long lines if needed for escape artists.

Kylee was absolutely fantastic with our dogs. She started with an initial meet‑and‑greet to make sure everyone was a good fit, which we really appreciated. Throughout her stay she sent daily pictures, followed all of our instructions, and kept us updated as needed — giving us total peace of mind while we were away. She’s a 5/5 sitter and we would hire her again in a heartbeat if she wasn’t moving!

FAQs for House Sitting - Saukville

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Saukville on Rover is $22.2 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 1,109 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Saukville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Saukville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Saukville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Saukville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Saukville. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
