About: I grew up in a large and loving family with very high-energy dogs. Last May, my husband, two kiddos and myself said goodbye to the best dog in the entire world- we miss Dexter everyday. He wasn't just a dog to us, he was family. We currently have a cat named Beans who we adopted when she was a tiny kitty. She gets a lot of attention from our 4-year-old daughter who wants to be a Veterinarian one day. Over the years, we trained Dexter (a golden retriever), and had to learn a lot about cats since neither of us grew up with a cat. Beans is very, very particular. When I was younger I helped train the family dog(s) and spent countless hours playing, walking, bathing, petting and cuddling these dogs. It has been almost one year since Dexter passed away and I miss having a dog to pet and chit-chat with everyday. I would love to spend time with your pet. Currently, I do not work. I drop one kid off at 8:30am and the other at 12:45pm, and pick up both kids at 3:30pm. We do a lot of walking and biking around town. I have a lot of free time. Our schedule will change a little bit in the summer with the kids swim lessons and a couple camping trips. Our apartment complex has a fenced-in dog run, we are near the bike path, I am happy to clean-up after your pet when necessary. I respect all pet owner's rules to ensure pet safety when walking on the leash, dietary guidelines, etc. I am able to crate animals at your house, as well as ours, if necessary.

Yolanda's patience, kindness, and experience brought me relief knowing that my dog was in great hands. She did everything possible to calm my anxiety-ridden fur baby and made him comfortable; kept me updated and was responsive; sent me photos; and was very easy/flexible to work with. By the end of the week, Gizmo was playing with other dogs and taking long walks twice a day, which he never does! He's been home for almost 24 hours and I can tell he misses Yolanda, but mostly, he's been sleeping like a baby. LOL. I couldn't thank Yolanda and her family enough. I finally found someone who was willing to take in my dog and refused to give up on him even when times were hard. I highly recommend her services! About: Growing up, my mom was the Eau Claire County Humane Officer, FEMA Animal Emergency Management volunteer coordinator, and general manager of the Chippewa County Humane Association. Throughout my childhood I helped care for thousands of dogs, cat, rabbits, and even a handful of lizards and snakes. I am well versed in animal behavior, safety, and empathy! I am new to the world of personalized in home care, but hope to gain your trust and grow my experience. I am a homeschooling mom of one 6 year old (who LOVES dogs!) and our schedule is very flexible. We have a 3 year old animal friendly Australian Shepherd who we walk daily within our neighborhood, on the interurban trail (5 minute walk away) and run off lease on the beach when there's no one around! My 6 year old is very animal empathetic, and is always learning behavior and cues from our own Aussie. Having a high energy household, I understand the importance of plenty of time spent outside. We live in a large, upper, 2 bedroom apartment and can easily accommodate temporary space for one or two more pets (of the same family). We have a park with an open field for playing ball, and the interurban trail are both a short walk away. We have plenty of green space around our building for shorter potty breaks. I have a large Ruffland crate available for your pets use.
“Scott & Ashley were wonderful. They took in our dog Kiko and my daughter's dog Ellie, while we were all on vacation in the UK for 10 days. They sent daily updates with photos and they have a great yard for dogs with a fenced in backyard. Scott & Ashley took both dogs for walks twice a day and the although we brought crates for both dogs, they ended up sleeping with both of their boys, which was fine with us and I'm sure Kiko and Ellie loved it!
