I am currently self-employed doing home renovations so my schedule is very flexible. I occasionally need to be around at specific times to assist my carpenter but for the most part can visit your pet at any time of day (between 6 am and 10 pm).

I consider myself a friend to all people, pets, insects, etc. I have a deep understanding of how to make shy pets feel comfortable - I have to rebuild trust with my parent’s chihuahua/terrier mix every time I see her! I also understand, particularly with cats, that gaining trust is a slow and intentional process and I consider myself well attuned to comfort and behavior signals in both dogs and cats.

A typical day
I like to explore parks and neighborhoods by sitting/reading, walking, or running and would love to bring along your furry companion (yes, I love to take cats for outdoor adventures too) for however they like to enjoy their environment. I could even bike alongside a very sporty pup. I am also more than happy to be a couch potato with our short legged and older friends who tire easily. I have a reliable sleep schedule and rarely stay out late so can be attentive to keeping your pet on their routine.

Hi I'm Katie! I’ve been a pet lover since the day I was born, as my parents adopted a golden retriever at 3 months old to clean up after me. Since then, our house has been full of pets. Our family included 2-3 dogs at all times (from a terrier/chihuahua mix to several malamutes, our favorite breed) in addition to a cat, a hamster, a guinea pig, 2 chinchillas, rats (so many rats, all named Oreo), and 2 snakes. I grew up helping care for all of these and have adopted 4 cats as an adult (caring for up to 3 at one time). I am attentive, caring, patient, and consistent in my approach to pet care. Outside of my home, I love to meet and get to know new animals, and think it is very important to take your time to watch, listen, and learn their preferences. I know how worrisome it can be to leave your pets behind while traveling or at work for long days, so I aim to ease stress for not only your pet but for you as well with clear communication and detailed updates! You can trust that I will give your pet the love and safety they deserve while you are away.
